There aren't a lot of options in Jackson if you're looking for a bagel, but luckily Beagle Bagel is an EXCELLENT option. I love their bagels, and I've had a lot of great bagels in my life! Whether you go with just a standard bagel with cream cheese situation or one of their sandwiches, you'll be pleased by the quality. The staff is friendly and professional, and I've never had an unpleasant experience here. The lox sandwich is probably my favorite thing to order, but the chicken salad is also super excellent. They also offer some truly delicious sweets and baked goods, in case that's what you're craving. This is an excellent place to order a breakfast tray from if you're hosting a work event or something. My office has ordered beagle bagel trays several times and it's always excellent. Like I said, there aren't *many* options for bagels around here, but you don't need to go far for a bagel that's definitely top notch. read more

Okay. Here is what you need to order at beagle bagel. Chicken salad panini and bagel chips. Then they have the best desserts! I always buy a lot of the iced shortbread cookies. They are amazing. My favorite cookies in Jackson, and I'm an expert on sweets. The chess squares are great, too! Petit fors are wonderful. Get some chicken salad to go, as well. It is the best chicken salad I've ever had. I am not just saying that. I could live off of it. I just wish they had a chicken salad card, so I could get a discount on my addiction. read more

Beagle Bagel is a little hard to find. It is in the far corner of a shopping center. When I was there they had a billboard that read "Because chicken salad on donuts is gross" that you can see if you a heading south on 55. Head towards that and you will find it. Stopped in on a Saturday morning for a salmon bagel. There was a line so I waited patiently, but the line seemed to take forever. They have a large selection of bagels and ways to eat your bagel including sandwiches pizzas and the traditional breakfast way. I was craving salmon so that is what I got. I found it weird that with this breakfast sandwich you get chips and a pickle also. But they put tons of capers on and many onions. I had to pick a couple of the onions off, but no big deal. I normally do that. I also ordered a coffee and they have a large coffee selection, but none of them are labeled with what type of coffee they are. Just a catchy name. So I went with the most generic sounding one which was very strong. Not exactly what I was looking for. I wish there was a short description of each coffee since all the workers were to busy for me to ask. There is plenty of room to sit. There are inside areas and outside areas. Its nice to enjoy the small atrium area outside. I felt the meal was a little expensive ($14) for a bagel sandwich and coffee. That was one of the worst experiences I've had at a restaurant thanks to one employee. The lady with dark brown hair that keeps her mask below her mouth is not only irresponsible but EXTREMELY rude. Amazing spot for lunch. They are the few places that offer the Zappos chips too! I must admit it can be a bit overwhelming if you are new. I suggest to avoid this area if you are unsure or new during peak lunch hours. It can become very crowded and you might feel rushed and your bagel order might not have the best outcome. If you are a seasoned vet- like myself, you are pretty familiar with the options and you have mastered how to stack your bagel creation like a pro. Normally, the people behind the counter are very friendly and patient when the crowd is not packed by the door- so they are able to walk you through their options and menu. The place is a trial and error until you find the right combo of spread, garnish, meat, and bagel selection. But the labor pays off once you find the winning combo. And if all else fails they have addictive petit fours. Their cake options are insane and all are delicious as well read more

This is one of our favorite places to eat in town. Unfortunately, we had some bad experiences recently and won't be returning as often as we hoped. I want to support our local businesses during the pandemic, but they don't seem to be set up for it. Once, I called to place a large catering order for work, and they refused. OK. I get it; they are short handed. Then recently, the curb-side orders are not what we asked for -- twice in two days -- multiple missing ingredients -- no explanation. But the worst part is, the wraps today are messy and look like they were wrapped by a toddler. This is very unfortunate because we like this place, and they always thank us for supporting them. This is by far one of our favorite spots in Jackson for lunch. We lived in Colorado Springs for a few months and missed being able to eat here. My wife and my favorite is the chicken salad bagel. It's awesome! But the staff are always very friendly, the food is served quickly, and the atmosphere is cool. We really like eating outside by the water fountain. Anytime we have friends stay with us from out of town, this is one of the restaurants we have to take them to. I've also had Beagle Bagel catered before and it was just as good! If you haven't eaten here, you're missing out! read more

Ok, so I have read all of the reviews and I don't agree. This place is soooo dirty!! I can't express that enough! I ordered the Italian panini and the girl asked me 3 times what I wanted on it! I wanted it how it came, nothing added or taken off! By the 3rd time, she said, "oh yeah, Italian panini" and then had to look at the board to see what was on it. She then said it would take a few minutes, in which it did. I got it and it was cold. Everything in there was sticky and dirty. Lost my appetite when they opened the trash can door and it was covered in crusted old food that had splattered. Take pride in the store that you own, manage, and work at and clean this place up and properly train your employees! Won't be back!! read more

We eat here way too much! There is something they get just right with their bagels, not to mention they have an extensive pastry selection. I find most of their bagels to be very tasty without being too tough. Add some cream cheese (in a number of flavors), meat, veggies, and you are set with a big meal. Their cookies are outstanding, but I do find their cupcakes to leave something to be desired. Granted, I've only had two cupcakes from here, but both of them left me wanting. If there is anytime I'm trying to figure out what to eat, this place comes up almost always. We stopped here for breakfast on a road trip. I had an onion bagel with plain cream cheese toasted it was really good. My husband had an everything bagel with garlic cove cream cheese that he liked. I have had a very difficult time finding a bagel place in the deep south after moving here from the Northeast. Beagle Bagel is great because of the bagel options as well as the delicious breakfast platters. I ordered a breakfast platter last weekend that included grits (good grits, not instant), a fruit salad, scrambled eggs, coffee, and a biscuit. The prices are very reasonable and the food is very good. read more

Only positive about this place is the location. Right in the heart of Highland Village which makes it an ideal stop, especially for breakfast before school or work. That's the only reason they get one star from me. Mediocre food at best, dirty on the inside (layers of grease and dust everywhere), workers always act bothered when you ask them to do anything (from placing condiments on your bagel to even ordering a meal in the first place...everyone also looks like they smoked a pack of cigarettes before coming in), and nothing is ever correct to order. I've gone a couple of times in the past but decided to give it one more chance this morning before assigning it a kiss of death. I asked for a breakfast sandwich with a couple of toppings and the worker sighed so loud my eardrums blew out as though I was inconveniencing her. I also ordered a cinnamon roll which was forgotten so I drove from home to get it looking forward to it. Lucky I got the roll but the Thing tasted like cardboard and vomit so I could've just left it at the restaurant. Will not be coming back again. I went in because I was craving a slice of Red Velvet cake and I'd seen it many times there before. A nice girl behind the counter made me a generous slice and as I bit it, something tasted... off. beagle bagel is my favorite place in jackson! the bagels are amazing and my fav is the super veggie. it's so fresh and healthy and i finish it off with a huge slice of mint chocolate chip cake. i am a huge cake/cupcake fan and this is my absolute favorite cake in the entire world!! i don't live in jackson anymore, but i found myself thinking about this cake tonight and had to come write a review about the great food and people at beagle bagel. i really miss MS and especially BB!!!! i dont think i'll ever find that cake anywhere else :( read more

This location of Beagle Bagel has the best pastries in town......WHEN they are fresh which is almost never. They keep the cakes & cupcakes for days. I work in the area & have a major sweet tooth. I ordered the chicken salad on sesame bagel. Wasn't impressed at all! The chicken salad squeezed through the bagel whole. The bagel was stale/chewy. For $10...bagel and drink, I've had much better elsewhere. My pickle and bagel chips were the best part of the meal.
