The casino has a huge selection of slot machines and table games, so there's plenty to explore even if you're only stopping for a short visit. Parking was convenient, and it was an easy and fun stop before continuing our drive north. The only downside for me was the cigarette smoke inside the casino, which can be pretty noticeable if you're sensitive to it. Overall, a fun place to stop for some entertainment, food, or a little gambling.

While it's a bit of a distance to the actual venue, it was well worth it for the quiet, calm and very relaxing environment. Beautiful property and I wish I had time to use the pool outside. We stayed in the Bella Vista honeymoon suite. I loved it. It allowed my husband and I to talk. There's a calming and clarifying vibe to the room and the place in general. Spacious, clean, and comfortable. I would stay here again if I was in the area 100%. I think about this place from time to time. I actually miss it!

There aren't many hotel options in Oroville, and this is definitely one of the two nicer choices in town (along with the Holiday Inn). That said, I do think the typical rate of about $135-$150 per night feels a bit high for what you get. However, staying in Oroville itself can be very convenient depending on why you're visiting, so sometimes the location justifies the price. One big plus is that the hotel feels safe. The rooms are interior-entry only, and you need your room key to access the building. When I arrived, the front desk staff buzzed me in. The staff throughout my stay were extremely friendly, polite, and helpful. The property itself is very clean and well maintained. The rooms, corridors, parking lot, and hotel grounds were all in excellent shape. There is some overgrown land next to the property where you may see a few homeless individuals nearby, but they kept to themselves and did not bother anyone during my stay. There are several food options within walking distance if you're comfortable walking across parking lots and nearby roads. Right in front of the hotel are Panda Express and Starbucks, with Sonic just beyond that. Across the main road there's also a McDonald's, an ARCO AMPM gas station and mini-market, a Maverik travel stop, and Dutch Bros Coffee. One small tip: the driveway entrance to the hotel is easy to miss because the sign is very small and the turn comes up quickly, so keep an eye out when approaching. Parking is plentiful, but there is a $5 parking fee per vehicle, which felt unnecessary given the size of the lot and the room price. The complimentary breakfast from 6-10 AM was convenient and appreciated. During my stay they offered eggs (plain and cheese omelets), sausage, potatoes, cereals, oatmeal, fruit, and pastries. Coffee and hot water were also available in the lobby at all times, which was very nice. My main downside was the mattress in my room, which had a noticeable lump in the middle and sloped slightly on one side. The TV remote was also a bit confusing to use at first because the volume and channel controls are narrow bars rather than traditional +/- buttons. This next thing is really no fault of the hotel, but it does seem that there are a lot of contracted personnel (state or county?) who arrived later in the day after I got there. I know from past experience, sometimes different county or states or companies will contract with a certain hotel company to house their employees when they are on a job site. It seemed every single one of them had a large white work truck parked in the lot. Of course, these trucks take up a lot of room and barely fit into the parking spot - which then encroaches onto your parking spot so it doesn't leave a lot of room to get in and out of. I know it's not the hotel's fault where these people park, but I really wish that there is a way to make sure that all these trucks park in the back away from the main lot. So just fair warning if you're somebody that plans to use their car in the evening; you might have a hard time getting into the car if these workers happen to stay during your stay. Overall, this is a clean, safe, convenient hotel with very friendly staff and easy access to nearby food. If you specifically need to stay in Oroville, it's a solid choice. If rates are high and you don't mind driving a bit farther, you may find better value in nearby Chico, Marysville, or Yuba City.

Night manager Katrin was welcoming and kind to me, and got me checked in quickly. The room smelled so fresh and clean, but without obnoxious freshener spray smell that hotels sometimes have. This is clearly a well-maintained Marriott property. Continental breakfast is available as well as a 24 hr coffee bar. Best of all, it's almost impossible for me to find beds that are this comfortable in any hotel. The mattresses were soft but supportive and really contributed to a good nights sleep. They also have an indoor pool. Overall, so many amenities! Parking might get a little tight, but the hotel was almost booked out and I managed to find a close spot. If you are traveling with a lot of family or luggage, definitely drop everyone off with bags at the check-in roundabout and ask for bell service. Another thing that stood out: it was really, really quiet. Hard if not impossible to find in a centrally located hotel. I'm truly tickled to find such a gem of a hotel within 30 minutes. Unfortunately this is not the first nor the last time I will need to evacuate from wild fire, and this way a comfy and peaceful spot to land.

She wants me to do one thing, then immediately starts in on the next bit and gets condescending with me when I explain that I am neurodivergent, and if she could please slow down, I might not get overwhelmed and have a meltdown, because I just spent an ungodly number of hours behind the wheel in a very tense atmosphere due mostly to crappy roads and scary drivers, and now a crappy neighborhood in an overpriced crappy hotel. Not to say it isn't beautiful; it is. Great outdoor seating area. Phenomenal patio furniture arranged around fire pits and with industrial strength umbrella stands for when the sun gets too hot. Nice pool area. Outdoor pool table. Etc. Nice? Very. And clean too. But don't look out into the water at the edge of the property. The bay, or lagoon, whatever it is, is reflective with a rainbow of oil slicks and garbage floating on the surface, collecting along the rocks at the edge. It's disgusting. The room we had was on the second floor. Would have preferred a ground floor due to having a dog, but we instead ended up what felt like miles from the elevator in a room with a lovely view of the HVAC system, which managed to wake me every hour on the hour beginning at 2am. Not a happy camper. Also, the hallway temperature on floor 2 was *really* warm. Not only am I having to lug everything to the second floor and miles down a side wing, but every time the dog needs to potty, it means I am carrying her as she is old, with a heavy fur coat, and can't handle walking in the heat. She also just has a hard time because she has a pinched nerve making her gait difficult. All things that I mentioned the following morning and was told glibly, "you could have asked for another room." Like somehow it's my fault you put me in crappy room, as far away from any amenities or doggy areas as possible and where the A/C that somehow doesn't work in the floor hallways manages to keep me up all night as it regularly turns on and off. I expect my host to know the hotel well enough that rooms are recommended based on guest needs. I shouldn't have to do your work for you. You should have known that is a crap room, to be filled as a last resort, and definitely not for older people with older pets. And the hotel was virtually empty. And I am most certainly not going to ask for a new room at 3am so I can pack everything up including the dog and her gear to a new room when I am only staying one night. The final B.S. was served up the following morning. We needed to transport our gear to the car, but there weren't any luggage carts available. When asked, the same receptionist said they were all in use, and I would just have to wait. Nearly 30 minutes later, I had to carry everything down manually. Just me, traveling with an elderly dog and a handicapped partner. And the staff just watched me struggle. The ONLY thing I can honestly recommend at this hotel, and its only redeeming value IMHO, is the restaurant. Staff were incredible, kind, happy, and the steak was the best thing about the whole stay. Can't speak to ambiance as we ordered room service, but the professionalism and kindness of our server was very appreciated. This was the most expensive night we had on a trip with nine other hotel stays, and it was by far the worst. Very disappointing. Two stars. Would have been one if not for the spectacular room service meal.

We visited during the heat of the summer, but the air conditioning worked well and we were comfortable when in our room and throughout the hotel. However, there is no mirror in the bedroom - only the bathroom mirror and there is very little counter space, only the nightstand in the room. No counter space in the bathroom, either. If you would like ice in your room. You must go down to the bar and request it from one of the bartenders when the bar is open. Not very convenient. The hotel has wonderful historic charm with various sitting areas both inside and out. Along with the jurors c charm comes no elevators, so bear that in mind when packing. The parking lot behind the hotel enters on the second level, which can be helpful when checking in. I don't think we will stay here again, particularly for the price, but it was a fun experience for the "historical" setting.

We checked in after 6pm, so check in instructions were texted to us. Easy to follow. Was easy to find. We stopped at Wally's Pizza for dinner in Cameron Park based off their restaurant suggestions on their website and sent via text check in instructions. Great suggestion! The next mornings breakfast is texted the night before, offering some options like juice preference. And it's delivered around 9am the next morning. Since we had to be at rafting at 9 our first morning at the Inn, they delivered us fruit, scones, and juice early at 8:15am which was really nice. Breakfast was delicious, both mornings. And super fresh. We stayed in the Cypress room. Was as pictured online. Room was clean. The patio area is nice. We explored the grounds a bit our last morning and saw many places to sit around. We enjoyed some time up at the pond in the morning. The staff - I assume owners - were very friendly. We were very happy with our stay here and would return!
