But, I am so appreciated it for finding Comfort dental where I had a dental cleaning yesterday and checked up my problematic tooth with a root canal done years ago. From the reception area to hygienist, Jasmine and Dr.Park SAVED me from the fear of receiving dental services! They were so patient with me and showing care by hearing me attentively. I decided to get Invisalign and visited 3 places for consultation. I went with Comfort Dental because I felt they would do the best job on my teeth. They have a nice office and the staff was very friendly and professional. I am very happy with the result of my treatment. My teeth were really bad and could never smile in pictures. I never imagined that my teeth could look so perfect. I was in need of an annual check up so my friend referred me to Comfort Dental. Walked in and immediately I was so impressed with the clean and bright ambiance. I met with Dr. Chen who answered all my questions (even the dumb ones). Scheduling an appointment is super easy and they are super accommodating to your schedule. I am so pleased with not only Dr. Chen but the staff and clinic. I would def recommend checking this place out!~ Also if you're interested in whitening your teeth they have a different system here than other dentists I have visited. Usually after getting a whitening my teeth are super sensitive for at least a week. But after I got a whitening here they were only sensitive for about a day and whiter than usual. In February 2022, I came to this location to get a second opinion for a chip in my back molar. It was a small superficial chip and I was hoping for an easy fix. My experience has been that many dentists take a more invasive route than needed like suggesting a root canal when not necessary. I was in the chair for probably 5 minutes total. As the nurse proceeded to take X-rays, I asked for no X-rays and just a routine physical check. The nurse specifically said 'it's no charge' so I let them proceed. When the dentist came around he suggested the whole nine: root canal, crown etc. I tell them this is not something I'm comfortable with and leave. They immediately charge me with a $210 bill (150 evaluation and 60 for images) and call me over and over for payment. They had adjusted the bill to 80 but something is still not sitting right with me. If they had done a proper evaluation they would know to fill the tooth and be done. It's not the money but the principle. Also, I was then able to find a trusted dentist who fixed the tooth with a tiny filling bc that's all that was needed. This office seemed lovely. It's a shame this was my experience. Forgot to add that this office did not take my insurance, though I was not made aware until I left. Really ridiculous all around. read more

I need to thank my fellow YELPers for their honest and detailed reviews of Comfort Dental Clinic (I take credit for bringing my wife here). My wife had a terrible tooth ache about a month ago. The left side of her cheek became swollen and she was told by another dentist that she needed a root canal. This dentist immediately began the root canal process (i.e. removing the nerve and the pulp and cleaning the tooth) but she became worse after going there for several visits. After a few weeks her cheek swelled up again. It was a Sunday and I was grateful that Comfort Dental was open! I immediately got her an appointment that afternoon. Our first impression of the environment was that it was welcoming and also so clean! The staff and the technicians were pleasant and professional. Fortunately for her Dr. Francis Oh, the oral surgeon, was working that day and examined her. After talking with my wife and reviewing her CT scan it was determined that she needed her tooth pulled. We appreciated that Dr. Oh took the time to explain in detail all the options we should consider before making our decision. The next day he extracted her tooth and all was well. Again, Dr. Oh explained the procedure before and during the extraction. He also showed us the infection and infected tooth. My wife heeled quickly with only a slight discomfort, which was expected. She will be back in 3 months for an implant. I highly recommend Dr. Oh because of his knowledge and professionalism. He genuinely cares about his patients and does great work! We will both be back at Comfort Dental. I've already scheduled a cleaning and a teeth whitening consultation with Dr. Chen and will update my review once completed. read more

I was excited to try this dental practice out, as the reviews on Yelp seemed amazing. I called to make an appointment and checked to see if they took my insurance, which they claimed they did. The practice seemed very modern / posh and clean and the hygienist was very nice. However, I feel I got scammed. I come to find out that they are out of network for me. In my insurance claim, it said I owed $300+ for a cleaning/exam!!! The front desk conveniently did not mention I was out of network. This practice needs to teach their front desk to be honest about their insurance coverage. It felt more like a car dealership, than a dental practice. Buyer beware!!! read more

Overall: New Office and Equipment, but you are no more than a billing account to the practice. Experience: First visit, I had my appointment for 3pm for cleaning, but wasn't seen till 3:45pm, even though I got there early. Something to do with doctor's availability and confusion with the appointment. I was escorted from room to room, got xrays done, had a hygienist clean my teeth, the dentist came, looked at my teeth for 45 seconds, said looks good, and left. Typically, I would be ok with this. However, I was annoyed because I had just waited for 45+ mins and the dentist could have spent more time. I had X-rays from the last practice (less than 3 months old) but no one asked if I needed X-rays done. The interaction with dentist was so minimal because he was in a rush. So I decided to switch to another dentist at this practice. Give them a second chance. Second visit: I went here for all 4 wisdom tooth extractions. I was taken in right away, so plus points. The extractions took forever to the point that the dentist said yeah it's more involved than I had imagined, which happens. After the extraction was done, I was told to buy Tylenol for pain, and call if needed. The second day, the pain was unbearable, I called and finally got a hold of the dentist. His medicine of choice - Motrin. Enough said. I have switched practice, and am now at a small place where the dentist has experience, listens, and cares. I'm more than a billing account! read more

I don't know anyone who actually enjoys going to the dentist, especially not me. I will say Comfort Dental makes it as enjoyable as possible. The cleanings are typically quick and painless and the hygienists and doctors are super friendly and seem to genuinely care about your oral health. The technology is very advanced as well. I'm not used to doing x-rays every visit, but they prefer to. At first I was apprehensive but they double checked with insurance to make sure 2x per year was covered before I agreed. After every visit they give you a childish little plastic pouch with a toothbrush, travel toothpaste, and floss. I like to opt out of receiving this as I prefer to be a little more environmentally friendly and use bamboo toothbrushes. My boyfriend referred me here after moving to the area and I am glad he did. I highly recommend this office if you are in the Fort Lee area! read more

As having lived in Bergen county for more than 20 years (minus college years), I have been to several dental clinics in this area. Since early 2018, I have looked for orthodontist and am glad I have received care under care of Dr. James Suh for following reasons. 1) From beginning, Dr Suh takes time to explain options (metal braces, Invisalign etc) and gave me ample time to ask several questions 2) After deciding on Invisalign, he clearly explained the course of treatment and showed me what to expect as tx goal In addition to Dr Suh expertise, what sets this place apart from other places are 1) professionalism and friendliness of office members that help with billing/schedule and 2) how clean the office is. Due to the listed above reasons, I made a decision to settle on confront dental for my family members and we come here for general check-up as well. Of note, I have dental insurance through my employer so cannot comment on what the experience (as billing is also important part of care) would be without insurance but give them a call to find out. I've been going here with my husband for years and both of us have even gotten implants done here before. Suddenly this year the person who works here named coordinator Min was extremely rude to me when I asked about the 5% cash discount on the website. She didn't even know what deals were available on their website and just kept telling me no. I waited an hour to talk to the manager just for him to tell me the cash discount still applies but then it was too late for me to get my procedure done since the dentist closed and I had driven over an hour to get here. Can't say enough good things about this dental clinic. I've had a number of procedures done here and I was always at ease knowing my teeth were in the best hands. My first procedure involved a broken molar that led to infection. Ouch. I kept it for years because I was scared to get treatment but I'm lucky to have found the doctors at Comfort Dental. The entire course of treatment, from extraction to placing the implant crown, has been a superb experience. Dr. Oh is kind, informative, re-assuring and he has the best patient-comes-first attitude. His 100000 plus hours of experienced hands/eyes are apparent through his gentle tooth craftsmanship and bed side manners. A common quality between all the dentists here- you will actually understand WHY they are doing something because they'll take the time to explain everything to you, which all patients could really appreciate. All 4 of my wisdom teeth were taken out here as well, and given that my teeth were huge and extremely difficult to pull, Dr. Oh and Dr. Nate made sure everything went as smoothly and as comfortably as possible. They will never disbelieve you if you indicate pain or discomfort, and they will always do the extra to make your experience better. I just got my teeth whitened using Zoom with Dr. Nate and I am SO happy with the results. I did not know in- house whitening could make such a drastic difference. My teeth weren't badly stained to begin with but because I wanted to achieve that "bleached-white" look, I decided to try something other than a drug store whitener. The whole visit lasted an hour and a half, while Dr. Nate was thorough and precise. He took each step with caution and made sure to accomplish optimal results. Thank you! It's whiter in person, but you can definitely see the difference in the pictures! If you want a reasonably priced, compassionate clinic with great staff and doctors, make the call! I am terrified of cavity fillings but again, Comfort Dental went above and beyond in making me feel relaxed and comfortable. Dr. Park waited patiently as my numbing kicked in, and every time I flinched or showed any discomfort, he stopped to check in on me to see how I was doing. The office is immaculately clean and modern, with state-of-the-art X-Ray and dental equipment. My dental hygienist, Stephanie, was patient and gentle. Comfort Dental Clinic is arguably one of the most luxurious dental clinics I have visited throughout my life. It's almost like a transformative and game changing clinic. Their attention to detail is remarkable. The interior design rivals designs that are shown in Architectural Digest magazine. The clinic is extremely clean, well-maintained, and has the most up-to-date modern equipment. I was shown how they sterilize tools and they have in-house sterilization equipment and use biohazard lab-grade protocols for cleaning and sterilization equipment. You can be rest assured you won't be subject to getting infections from improperly cleaned tools. Besides the issue of safety, the dental clinic offers incredible service. Last time I visited, they comped me for the parking meter, picked me up from the train parking lot, and returned me to my car after services were completed. During my treatment session, I viewed a TV screen (attached to the ceiling) that was showing a movie. I didn't even know what to say after seeing something that cool. Now....my concern as I was leaving was...oh my God how much is this all going to cost? Surprisingly enough the pricing wasn't too different for my treatment compared to other clinics I have visited. For a comparable price, I don't see any reason why I would want to go elsewhere and compromise my safety (everything here is so transparent like an kitchen with an open concept kitchen). That being said, it's such a pleasurable and wonderful experience that it's certainly worth a visit just to see what a state-the-art facility looks like. The pictures don't lie! read more

I've always hated going to the dentist until I came to Comfort Dental Clinic. When you first walk in, you are greeted by the friendliest staff and the place is extremely clean and pristine. There's also plenty of parking and zero wait time! Teeth cleaning was actually done by the dentist, Dr Lewis Chen. He was extremely friendly and makes you feel comfortable. He goes out of his way to make you sure you are okay and displays a wonderful bedside manner. I had a cavity and he gave me the option of doing it then or later. I chose to do it then without any novocaine and he was so gentle. Again, he just wants you to feel comfortable which is key at a dentist office and doesn't try to up-sell you. I have had my teeth cleaned and laser-whitened a couple months ago at Comfort Dental Clinic. Both services were great and I have only good things to say about their nice staff, dentists and the state-of-the-art equipment. Dr. Lewis Chen performed the whitening procedure on my teeth. The procedure itself by nature was not very pleasant. However, Dr. Chen made sure I was comfortable by playing netflix on the tv screen attached in front of each patient's chair, and frequently asking how I was doing. To maximize the whitening result, he helped me to be patient when the laser felt a bit too much on my teeth. I am glad that I listened to him as my teeth turned out to be perfectly white just as I hoped. Their after-care was great too. Dr. Lisa Van Eyndhoven is the pediatrician for my two daughters. She is an excellent physician with dental/medical expertise and with special skills to take care of children's health. The treatment of my daughters dental was smooth and carried out in an environment where my daughter was relaxed and comfortable. The room ambience is tailored to the comfort of the children. I tend to be a very picky person when it comes to the care of my family since I only want the best for them. Please read my review if you are finding a place to do orthodontics. I had a bad malocclusion. I always wanted to straighten my teeth, but I couldn't find a right timing to do and find a good dental clinic (especially in New York or New Jersey). My friend, who used to work there, always gave compliment on their each specialized dentist, especially orthodontics. My teeth wasn't not an easy case. It took me about 2 years and half (It could have been 2 years, but it took extra time because I was out of country for about 3-5 months). A brace never broken during the process. Perhaps I was taking care my teeth carefully, but I think they put it nicely at the first place. My doctor's name is James Suh. He is very friendly doctor, delicate, and detailed person. I highly recommend him as your doctor. I was paying monthly, so I was able to pay. Extra information: I did clear brace on the top and silver brace on the bottom teeth. I think the beginning process is the hard, but once you get used to it, you don't think about the braces anymore. read more

I live in Brooklyn, NY but have found the value and service received by Dr. Oh and Comfort Dental to be well worth the travel to New Jersey. The office is exceptionally clean and feels like the most modern, future age office that one can imagine in 2018. The staff are very friendly, and Dr. Oh and all his dental assistants really couldn't possibly be any better. I needed an implant for one of my teeth, and they took great care in explaining the process, answering any questions, and taking time to make sure I felt like I understand both the process and costs associated. The incredible thing is that the cost was significantly lower than quotes I was getting in NYC, but more importantly, this space age office made me feel really confident in their ability to take care of my dental needs. Even though there is a long drive and tolls for me to make my visit, my dental care is very important, and I decided to have them be my primary care dentist for my regular cleanings and all my dental needs. This is by far the most unreasonable dental office that I have been to. I have to admit that they have a shiny office and nice equipment, but be AWARE OF THE RIP OFF!!! As I recently changed job, I had to look for a new dental office that is convenient and this place has amazing reviews on Yelp. I scheduled a teeth cleaning and I also needed to reattach a crown and this was what happened. 1) Without any explanation, the took me in for some scanning. I thought it was just standard procedure for new customer so I just let them do it. I got this for free procedures from other dental offices when I first started anyway. Later on, they billed me $450 for this (Complete set of radiographic image & oral evaluation) 2) The dentist (SAE HOON OH) spent half an hour explained to me that I needed dental implant as soon as possible and we ended up running out of time for my cleaning 3) He reattached my crown and charged me $200 for it. To give you a bit insight of how much this usually cost, my previous dental office in Tribeca did it for free for me 4) They still submitted claim for dental cleaning to my insurance even though they did not do it. I had to go through several phone calls with them to get this sorted out, and in the last phone call, the front desk lady kept telling me that it's not their problem and certainly not their fault. She refused to follow through with the insurance company to sort it out for me. I would go back to my dental office in Tribeca despite 1.5hrs driving & $15 toll to get there.
