Great friendly service, very spacious and relaxing space and ambiance. I had a regular drip coffee which is of medium roast, very smooth & silky, with some floral notes.
I went looking for some coffee since I am in the Waikiki area, and I found this place. I was thinking of getting some lattes, but they didn't have it, so I got a mocha espresso instead. The cashier asked me if I lived here so I could get a kamaaina rate, which was 10% off But this is a good place to have breakfast and you can study because to is a lot of seating. You can also sit outside, but since I have something to do and I have to go. The drink itself was good. I can taste the chocolate and the espresso.
Very cute location about a block from the beach in this cute shopping area. Enjoyed the seating area and the espresso smoothie; service was good and prompt. Would be back again for a quick coffee!
3/15/25- on a Saturday. This is my third review on this place and today is very quite. I would say this is about 2:45pm and it's chill vibe... nothing too loud and it's nice. This time I went with my favorite again- the croissant. And I went with a iced Matcha Latte... and because I said I wanted it for here it got made in a really awesome tiki glass cup... it's different then the typical plastic cup they have and I think I like the "stay in cup" then the plastic cup. My favorite server wasn't here today... perhaps Sebastian doesn't work on Saturdays... The server that made my wonderful order is "Art" yes that's his name. Easy to remember cause I'm into Art. Lol hahahaha. I will suggest that if your in the area again that low time is 2pm... I'm getting the hang of being here of lately now. Let hope they never leave the DFS area. On Royal Hawaiian Ave. Highly like the vibe here I always feel good here
Cozy hidden little gem hidden away from tourist bustle. The ambiance is so cozy and laid back chill. You order first to go or drink there, which they charge 12.75 percent, I believe... but that's considered tip if you think about it. Service was great! Coffee was good also! Overall, a great place to come early in the morning and chill.
Bean and Town has very good coffee. I'm not so much a coffee drinker, but the coffee here is very good. Good service and staff are very kind , service is fast too. They have very unique decor inside too.
Bean About Town is located in the rear of the DFS, and they serve a pretty decent menu of sandwiches, pastries, and beverages. We came here to get a caffeine fix and had the Caffe Latte (espresso and steamed milk) and a Matcha Latte (matcha green tea with steamed milk). Since we just had a big lunch, we were unable to try out their sandwiches. Ambience is perfect for remote work or a friendly meeting. The treats and food are delicious and the matcha (not a coffee drinker anymore) is very tasty. But my favorite thing is that you can bring your well behaved dog. They are dog friendly inside and outside! They even offer a dog water bowl. there's plenty of outdoor seating with umbrellas to relax and enjoy your treats and drink. Check it out!

After attempting to go to another really popular coffee shop that had an insanely long line and then another, I decided to try Bean About Town. I was happy to find only one other person in line and was starving by then because the other shops that hardly had anyone in there didn't look too appealing. Their coffees on their Yelp page looked delicious which drew me in. The guy at the counter was friendly and made some helpful suggestions. I liked how big the place was and didn't feel claustrophobic. It was a lot quieter than some of the other places I've seen and cool inside which was nice after walking around for a couple miles in the heat. I ordered a flat white and a ham & cheese croissant. The flat white was perfect and the ham & cheese croissant came warmed and had a nice flaky crust. It didn't feel heavy and loved that the cheese was melted. SO good, I crushed it! He also recommended the apple croissant so I'll have to come back next time and try that!
Tucked away in the DFS located in Waikiki. Had the 100% Kona Red Bourbon pour over. There's lounge seating and very comfy chairs! Came here after a hearty lunch and almost fell asleep on the chair. Service is was good. They bring your coffee to you. I also purchased two t-shirts to give away as souvenirs since they say Waikiki on them. I will definitely come back for more coffee!

There are interesting menus that are different from other shops, with simple pastries that seem to be a substitute for lunch. I think they are snacks and handmade peanut butter balls. Recently, I had an after lunch tea break at the Royal Hawaiian Center. I learned of Bean About Town and decided next time I wanted to spend a relaxing tea time at a private table there. The staff was friendly and I talked with them for a while and promised to visit again. In the back of DFS, which has completely changed, Bean About Town provides is a nice place for adults to relax. I realized that it was worth visiting. The barista was helpful when I asked her for her recommendation. She let me know about her in-house syrup that they handmade. I got the white chocolate syrup with my latte and it was great! Inside of this spot, there are comfortable seating areas. Great for when you need to take a break and relax with your toddler. They also have a gift shop next to it that is very organized and clean.

I've known about their Kaimukī location for a while, but finally made an effort to visit the one in Waikiki. It's located inside the DFS, and has a large area at the back of the mall. The coffee shop can be entered from the mall or outside; they also have outdoor seating where you can order on your phone. Indoors is cozier and more fun, with bar seating, tables, and oversized chairs to relax. They have a lot of merchandise to go, including beans. If you're stopping in for a refreshment, they have a nice menu of hot and cold coffee drinks, teas, sodas, etc. They also have baked goods- I tried the 'ulu banana bread and really enjoyed it. I also had an iced cold brew, which was strong and creamy. Prices were reasonable for the quality and being in Waikiki. They can pour your drinks for dine in or disposable to go. This is definitely a recommended coffee shop in Waikiki! read more

Solid coffee shop serving pastries, Açaí bowls and sandwiches. I had a macademia nut latte which was good. Açaí bowl was solid 7/10, have had better on the island. I wish they would've added more almond butter. My 3 star review mostly coming from the fact that they don't have a bathroom available until 11am because it's shared with the duty free store next door. Not even sure if that's legal, but a bathroom should absolutely be available during their opening hours. Had to leave rushing to find a bathroom nearby. However, good for working with good WiFi and ample seats. read more

One of the best coffee shops I tried while in Waikiki. I tried their coffee flight which came with three pour overs of locally grown coffees. My boyfriend got a strawberry yogurt smoothie which was satisfying. They have very nice outside patio that you may go sit at after you order and they will the order out to you. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and coffee options. Wish we had more time to have stopped in again. read more

We loved this place so much we visited twice during our week long stay in Waikiki. We love trying different coffee shops out when we travel and we usually go to a different one everyday but we liked this one so much we had to go back. On our first visit I had a delicious pour over and my girlfriend had an americano; we also split a piece of the ulu banana bread. The coffee was dark and robust and the banana bread was balanced with the perfect amount of sweetness. On our second visit we both got iced cold brew and split a bagel with cream cheese. The coffee is fantastic, the staff behind the counter are outstanding and they have a wonderful patio to sit and watch the world go by (there's also a bunch of indoor seating). If you're a coffee nerd you'll love this spot. read more

We found this cute coffee shop on Yelp while looking for a nearby coffee place. It was located inside a mall, which was easy to find since there were signs outside the mall showing its location. Service was quick. The staff was helpful and patient when we asked about the drinks. They even chatted with us while we waited for our drinks to be made. I ordered a Shakarato and an Iced Latte. Both drinks were strong but not overpowering, satisfying my morning coffee cravings. Overall, I recommend this place to get your morning caffeine fix. The service and drinks were excellent. read more
I am obsessed with Bean About Town. I never had macadamia nut milk before, and let me tell you- LIFE CHANGING. It honestly tastes like a creamier version of almond milk. I got an iced latte with mac nut milk and coconut syrup my first day in Honolulu, and I've had it three times since. I'm obsessed. I also got a ham and cheese croissant which was delicious, and came with a pickle as well. The staff was so so sweet and helped me choose what to order. The coffee shop itself is inside the Duty Free Shopping Center and in a perfect location next to a mall in Waikiki. The inside is super cute with flower details and comfy seating. 5 out of 5 stars a million times over! read more
Small place in the DFS basement. Never been here, but heard about the coffee. It did not disappoint. The iced latte was perfectly balanced with coffee and sweetness. Service was good as the baristas explained the various drinks and beans they sold. Wold go back again. read more

Omgoodness. Such a cute, spacey, vibrant café! They offer A LOT of indoor and outdoor seating. This is the perfect place to study, catch up with friends, or even read a book in peace. This is a good respite from the crowds of Waikiki, tucked away in the DFS Galleria. Got here a couple of times, trying the cold brew, lemongrass tea and the banana bread. All were delicious, and I'd especially recommend the cold brew with one of their homemade syrups in it. Service is friendly and quick. They have really nice seating outside, though you run the risk of inhaling bus fumes when the tourist buses are parked at the curb. read more
All things were so good here. Had the cortado (or something) coffee and it was so so tasteful! Got a couple coffess to go as well. I also tried the caprese sandwich, which was a delight. I had a nice time enjoying my coffee and sandwich in their outdoor seating area which is well decorated & clean. Definitely recommend this place for coffee! Must visit. Five stars and two thumbs up for this wonderful coffee shop inside the DFS on Royal Hawaiian Ave. My friends had already found a table outside, so I went inside to order. The interior was calm and quiet, and my whole ordering experience was entirely pleasant. I joined my friends outside, and the staff brought my coffee out to me in a lovely ceramic tumbler on a thick wooden plate with a big napkin. My drink, a flat white with macadamia milk, was delicious! I don't go out for coffee often, but if I needed a fix or just wanted a coffee place to meet up with friends, Bean will be one of my top choices. read more

Lukewarm coffee. Wish it was a bit warmer when served. I'd recommend to order extra hot. Staff are friendly and polite. There are some sofas in the area and it doesn't get too busy. Nice place for breakfast coffee read more

I stopped by this cafe twice for a matcha fix! I ordered two matcha lattes with oat milk: one with lavender syrup and the other with vanilla syrup. The quality of the beverages was very nice; the matcha didn't taste chalky. The only thing I don't like is the amount of syrup added. The syrups were overpowering that I didn't get much of that matcha taste I was striving for :( Service and the atmosphere of the place is nice however! Friendly people and very clean cafe. I recommend this place to those who want to get their work done in a great ambiance. I wouldn't go back to get a matcha latte, but I would go to try out their pastries :) read more
