As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by a man that I presume was the manager or owner, who was wiping down the tops of the counters. We immediately started chatting while I looked over the menu. I originally came to pick up a bag for the Too Good To Go app, but decided to snag a salad and drink also. The same manager or owner was very chatty, I saw him cracking jokes either employees, and helping the cooks along with making my meal. I ordered the buffalo chicken salad and holy.moly. FRESH romaine lettuce, sliced tomato, cukes, and some great chicken, was enough for me to make two smaller salad (see pic)s. Everything was tasty, including the ranch, and the buffalo was the perfect blend of heat but not so hot it's unpleasant/numbs your face (If anyone knows what buffalo sauce they use - let a lady know!! ) Then, as I walked out, a man who I chatted with a moment, was cleaning and stopped just to wish me a great day. I was literally just laid off yesterday, so he'll probably never know how much it meant to hear today. 10/10 recommend Jersey's and I will be back! There were at least six people "working"--standing around talking loudly with the radio blasting, mainly--and even though I was just getting a single bagel with cream cheese it took forever. And no one else was even in the store. At a certain point, the manager/owner called over to me and said "we're having trouble with the toaster." I had been super clear that I wanted it "not toasted." Then because he could tell I was irritated and it had been, well, forever, he started scolding the workers about talking too much, the music being too loud, etc., to no avail. They just kept going. And when the time came to finally hand me my bagel, there was no apology, "I'm sorry," or any acknowledgement at all that it had been a really inappropriately long time that I had been waiting--again, with no one else in the store. And six employees working. The sad thing is that the bagels at this place are pretty good, about the best you are going to get in metro Detroit, but I won't be back. Management needs to step up in this place and enact a more professional approach to customer service.

My family used to get bagels here when I was a kid, I haven't had them in so many years. I decided…read moreto order them on Doordash. I ordered a dozen bagels and 2- 8oz flavored cream cheese tubs. I went with veggie and chive cream cheeses. The bagels were good, maybe not the best bagels, but fresh and a good value. The cream cheeses were disappointing. Today is 4/12, the veggie cream cheese had a date of 4/26 ( I assume a date to eat it by). It was terrible, something was spoiled, as it was so sour. The chive cream cheese didn't seem fresh, but it was edible. I'm food safety certified and work in the industry. Prepared foods should be used within 6 days, first of all, so that date was way to long. Secondly, it was spoiled, maybe the cucumbers or some other veggie was spoiled or the cream cheese was. There were soggy looking cucumbers in it, maybe it was that. I may get bagels again here, but I won't buy their cream cheese, as there are better bagel options out there.
