    Turkey Pesto Sub
    Sara M.

We were looking for a new sandwich place to try on a late weekend morning for breakfast, so we stopped at this deli. Atmosphere is seat yourself clean diner, and service was quick! I got a cup of coffee and turkey pesto sub, and my husband got the spicy Italian. Portions were huge and we each could only eat a half. Ingredients tasted fresh and homemade. Will be back for sure to try other options!

Sunday morning, breakfast. Many empty tables, dunno why. Great, attentive service. The corned beef hash is a very generous portions, but a bit spendy at $17. The corned beef is shredded and very tasty, but was overcooked to the point of being dry. The $13 Reuben is excellent and huge. Highly recommended.

I have been here before with my parents but it's been a long time. I've been craving latkes recently and only a few places on DoorDash have it near us, including Siegel's Deli, so we ordered from here tonight. The latkes are about $4 each and they come with your choice of sour cream, applesauce, or both. They are very large and worth the price, as they were delicious. I got a cup of the kreplach soup, which was also tasty but expensive ($11), and my husband got a corned beef sandwich (about $18), which was huge. We also got two sides of their sliced New Dill pickles, which were great, and they included one Old Dill pickle slice with his sandwich too. I'm curious if the prices here are a lot cheaper than on DoorDash, because the sandwich was rather expensive. That being said I would order from here again, and probably get latkes and New Dill pickles, as they were very, very good.

Siegel's Deli is a great place for breakfast. The food is delicious and the portions are generous. As you can see from the photos, we had 2 eggs, meat and a side. All this for the unbelievable price of $7.50. I highly recommend the sausage and the deli rye toast. OMG! The staff at Siegel's is very friendly and super efficient. They are very attentive and frequently offer warm ups on coffee. I have been told by my friend that she has often stayed for long periods of time without any pressure from the staff to settle up and move on. Seems like a great place to linger and relax.

One of my favorite spots in Metro Detroit. I stopped in for an early lunch and wanted to get an old favorite with some left over for dinner. Seigel's Deli is typical Jewish Deli here in the Detroit area known for Corned beef, pastrami, and their soups. Today I ordered the Elliott, which is corned beef, coleslaw and Russian dressing on Jewish Rye bread. I got a bowl of their cabbage soup to go along with the sandwich. They also serve an old and new dill pickle with every sandwich. I have to say they never disappoint with the food. The service is great, since the same ladies have worked here what seems like forever. The decor is kind of old school, but always clean. This place feels like home. If you like a good sandwich and bowl of soup, check out Siegel's. You won't be disappointed.

My sandwich was so large, it could legit last for 4 meals. I had 2 peices today and still have half leftover. I got takeout at 11 am and they were packed with people. Worth the money. I had to take meat out of it to fit the sandwich in my mouth.

Fabulous little deli! Absolutely loved everything we ordered! The sandwiches were loaded with meat. The corned beef was very fresh and practically melted in the mouth. Bread is fresh. The ratio of sandwich ingredients to bread is excellent. The Reuben egg rolls were crunch, a smidge greasy, but flavorful. The club sandwich has real turkey - not lunch meat! It was delicious. There was also a Reuben which warned the comment "this is the best Reuben I've ever had and I've had a lot of Reuben's!" We did carry out and the service was very quick and friendly. We will definitely be back!

Stopped at Siegel's right before closing tonight for a Reuben sandwich. The place is very cozy but offers lots of seating. The young staff was friendly and accommodating. I ended up driving at least 30 minutes before I could eat the sandwich; therefore, the bread became soggy from the sauerkraut. I'm sure the sandwich would have been fantastic had I eaten there. However, it was still very good. The corned beef was fresh and tender. The menu is extensive, complete with Deli favorites. There were plenty of desserts available to choose from. I will try the peach streusel on my next visit. The deli offers my favorite Dr. Brown soda. I always give major points to a deli that serves Dr. Brown's. According to the signage out front, this Deli has received accolades as the best deli in the area. Judging from what I saw and the taste of the sandwich that I had, I would agree. This was one of the best Reubens that I've had even with the soggy bread. Don't get me wrong, the bread seemed perfectly prepared. I merely should have thought about my choice and travel time. On my next visit for a carryout, I will ask for my sauerkraut on the side.

Back then, Tony's then known as Daves Deli/Embers did a pretty good job for breakfast and I was pleased to see that they still do after all these years. For my return meal here I ended up getting the Two Egg Grandslam for $9.99 that had Two eggs cooked to order, hash browns, toast and meat of choice. The eggs were well cooked, with four pieces of meat, a very generous portion of hash browns and a rye toast that is just simply the best in the area where it is the same as I remember from 30 years ago. Relative to staff and facility, it is definately not a newer contemporary facility that many of the restaurants are in the area but is a tad more dated/rustic. Having said that it is defiantely clean and being well maintained where I was totally fine with the environment. Relative to staff, it felt like being at home as you could clearly hear the staff talking/arguing in the background (in a friendly way) where you normally do not hear that in most restaurants in the area. My only gripe, which is fairly significant for me, was after giving me my first cup of coffee they never returned to top it off or refill it during my breakfast which is a big no no for me and really a deal breaker. Not sure if this is the norm but if this were to happen again I probably would not return. For the purposes of this review I did not ding them on this but if it were to happen again I would not return. Overall good food at very reasonable prices is hard to beat and assuming my refill issue was a one off I would definately return in the future.

It was extremely obvious that these sausages are made with premium meats as they were just so darn tasty with great texture! Aside from the large assortment of sausages, there are premium cuts of beef, jerky, fish, Brisquet, pork and higher end Wisconsin cheese to choose from among the food that they sell. Additionally, they have a made to order Deli sandwich counter that includes assorted well known sandwiches you expect to see at a Deli to include some not so typical sandwiches that include Cuban, Pulled Pork and Brisquet sandwiches all at very reasonable prices. Took about 15- 20 minutes to make, as it looked like it was closed when I inquired about their food. There was nothing being made, nothing hot or fresh offered in a warmer or at the counter. All made to order I suppose. The food is okay. It's not banging by any means. The antipasto is weak. You can count the olives and toppings they added to basic bed of lettuce. $8 for this and its true value is probably half that. Tomatoes were translucent and super thin. The sub is nothing more than a gas station pick up. Very light on the meat for an Italian. Like the onions though. $10 for that, true value is probably $6 or less. The Chicago style pizza smelled awesome and looks pretty good but they didn't add the sauce on top?? Not sure why. Ended up being more of a large arsed calzone. Still decent and cheesy but also seemed very salty. Very filling as well. Overall a dense pie that I wouldn't necessarily go out of my way for.
