About a 15min wait but well worth it. Nice breakfast this morning. Hash & eggs for me with Cajun sausage side. Asparagus bacon and Boursin cheese omelette for Sheryl. Both cleaned out plates!

This place is worth the wait. It seems to be the "it" place for locals and visitors alike. On a Saturday morning at 830, there was a 30 minute wait when we arrived. The hostess took my name and number then I received a text when the table was ready. The menu is good with tons of specials which seem to be both daily and seasonal. We ordered the special #3 which we split between 2 children, a corned beef hash with eggs and toast. The hash was rather salty and the eggs slightly on the dry side but the hot sauce fixed all that. Then a Portuguese French toast. There was so much food that nobody could finish it. On the ambiance side of things. There are local photos on the walls and what seems to be sound reduction panels on the ceilings but it was still rather loud due to all the conversations in this full restaurant. I can't wait to come back

Moonakis is always consistently very good. We waited about 15 minutes for our table at 11:15am on a Sunday. My friend and I enjoyed our food but definitely needed to season the eggs and potatoes. Pancakes are always so so good. Only real complaint would be the food came out before the water, but it really wasn't a big deal! Will definitely be back here later this summer!

This is clearly a popular spot in town. It's a small cafe vibe and it's always packed, so plan ahead because there's always a wait (on weekends, at least; I have not been during the week.) The service is fantastic. The regular menu is robust enough (try the Portuguese French toast), but they regularly have a wide variety of specials to choose from as well. If you're an omelette person, there are plenty to choose from to fit every taste. I've enjoyed their Benedicts or their Salmon platter when I've gone.

Eggs Benedict and a blueberry pancake.

In my opinion, this is the best breakfast place around. Exceptional service and the food is great! Very clean, food comes out very quick. Highly recommend giving it a try if you haven't eaten here.

Came here for breakfast and had a positive experience. We ordered a couple of things as a group: the açaí bowl special, eggs Benedict and a sampler dish of eggs/meat/pancakes. Everything was flavorful and cooked to our liking. Our server was super friendly and constantly checked in to see how things were going. It's a cute place and I had a very positive experience. Would absolutely come back.

All of the servers are super nice. Food comes out wicked fast and everything is so good. Definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area.

UPDATE: Wow, what a nice response from a business owner!. Even after I left an honest review about our experience, the overly hot restaurant with broken AC, and food that gave me a massive stomach, the owner took it upon himself to attack me. Now I really regret visiting this place. Rather than say "I'm sorry your experience wasn't ideal, we strive to do the best we can and will make sure we are doing everything to make your dining experience enjoyable", this is what he comes up. Maybe I got sick because in addition to AC not working the place where they store their fish was also running hot. And even after this hideous response, I am leaving my original review at 3 stars, even though they clearly deserve much less. I feel bad for the hard working staff that do their best to make guests happy. ORIGINAL: I really wanted to love this place. We came here for a Tuesday morning breakfast and the place was packed. We only waited for about 10 mins for a seat. I ordered a smoked salmon eggs Benny and my husband had lemon poppyseed pancakes. He seemed to enjoy the pancakes and I did finish my portion of the eggs Benny. The waitress reassured me that she loves the dish and is very particular about what smoked fish she eats and that Moonakis uses good quality fish. I took her word and the taste was yummy. UNFORTUNATELY however, Within about 1-1.5 hrs, having only had their eggs Benedict and half a cup of coffee that day, my stomach completely turned upside down. I found myself in the bathroom for about an hour in pain and discomfort. Clearly either the fish or hollandaise sauce used was either not fresh or rancid. I NEVER get reactions to food like this and it ruined my afternoon. Very disappointing. On a completely separate note it was hot like an oven inside the diner. I was actively perspiring while waiting for the food and afterwards, at which point we just went up to the counter to pay just so we can leave and get fresh air outside. The waitress said the AC was on but not working well.... Who knows. I felt bad for her as well since she's the one running around serving tables. Maybe it was an off-day or maybe a number of people got sick, but the post breakfast experience was not a fun one for me as I got very sick. The waitress was friendly and polite throughout the service. I just wish it was more comfortable indoors with some AC and that I hadn't gotten food poisoning.

This cafe has a small dining room so there is almost always a wait but it is worth it and you will be in & out before you know it. The staff is friendly and efficient and the menu sticks to the standards which they do very well. The cranberry pecan pancakes & waffles are delicious. The pancakes are quite large, fluffy with a crisp outside-perfection. The bacon is prepared perfectly crisp & the eggs scrambled exactly as requested. The chocolate chip pancakes were a hit as was the eggs Benedict. The #3 provided enough food for the 3 of us but as everyone had ordered their own, we had breakfast leftovers!

If the weather is bad, park as close to one of two hotel entrances and walk through the hotel. Atmosphere- was obviously a "Bar and Grill" for the attached hotel. The bar is still there but is now the check-in counter with the rest used as haphazard storage, bit of an unpleasant eyesore when you walk in. No decor to speak of, cleanliness was ok. Overall it was just a boring room. Service- The restaurant was empty, only 1 booth with two people were there. Two signs at the counter, one said "Wait here to be seated", the other said "Please Seat Yourself". After a 12 minute wait (we were the only people waiting) the waitress tells us to sit anywhere as long as it was in 1 of 2 booths. Other than the wait to be seated the server was very nice and professional. Food- known for their Hash, I had one of their hash omelettes and it was good and I enjoyed it. Was it "being known for" delicious? No. But I'd certainly have it again! Breakfast potatoes were delicious!! Overall- Not what I expected, not a solid 3 star experience. Worth trying but I'll forget this place shortly after I hit "Post Review"

Although there was a short wait to be seated, it was less than three minutes, and we were quickly shown to a cozy corner table tucked away from the pub and the main dining area. Our waitress greeted us warmly and took our drink orders. I ordered a Blue Moon, while my wife tried their version of a margarita. The beer was enjoyable, but my wife was not a fan of her drink, as it lacked the traditional margarita flavor she was expecting. For dinner, I decided to try something new and ordered the traditional Reuben sandwich. The bread was nicely grilled, and although I am not usually a fan of pickled vegetables, the sauerkraut was actually quite good. Overall, the sandwich was enjoyable, though I felt it could have used a bit more corned beef. My wife ordered the chicken fajitas, but unfortunately, they were disappointing. The chicken was dry, and the dish overall missed the mark. As we were leaving, her final comment summed up the experience: "We probably would have had a better meal at the 99." While parts of the meal were enjoyable, the overall experience did not quite live up to our expectations after such a long time away.
