I am a diehard Starbucks fan because of their ability to produce a really good Decaf Espresso to be used in various drinks. (Secret: It is in the roasting and quality of the bean itself, as a competitor once told me, and with this knowledge, it can taste just as good as a regular bean.) Many people are medically restricted to decaf, so it is not a choice for them but a necessity. This location in Falmouth has been my Cape Cod Starbucks for years. It is located in a former bank building, along the extension of Main St, to the east of downtown. The parking is easy, there is a drive-through too and the staff has generally been very good. I always go in as I like to meet staff and like to see the interior condition. It tells me a lot about the customers and staff. I was able to order my favorite drinks that I get when at home, while on vacation. I know that the products will be as close to what I normally get since the components are the same. The staff has been similarly trained and as a former retail manager, I always hope for consistency within a company, no matter the product. My career was not in food or dining but the experience is similar when facing the customer with a product. This store has done a very good job. Most of their customers are here on vacation, but I can clearly tell when a local regular comes in, from the welcome reception by name. This is a great sign of a well run shop. It's what I get when at home, too. They sell quite a lot of company merchandise and this time I decided to purchase one that I will never find at home at my local store. The souvenir mugs included a particularly pretty one featuring Cape Cod designs and since I am not sure I will be back, I decided to buy one here. It was worth the value to me as a reminder of a place I have visited for years, even before Starbucks was founded. As in every busy coffee shop, bathrooms are the least reliable part of the location. This one varies from time to time but it is always at least "acceptable." If I find myself back in Falmouth, yet another time, I will return to this shop for my morning Decaf Americano. read more

We have gone to this Starbucks a handful of times over the last several years. It used be a really great spot to pick up a drink and a bite real quick. I feel like in the last couple of years, it has gotten worse. No matter the time of the day, and the even if there is only a couple of customers in there, it takes forever for our drink order to come out. Today, we got there in the morning, and a handful of customers were inside. Half waiting for their orders, and half waiting to place orders. We ordered a couple of breakfast sandwiches and a couple of hot drinks. The sandwiches came out within 5 minutes, but then, we had to wait what felt like 30 min for them. The number of customers got bigger and bigger during that time, around 10-15 people waiting around for a long time. I think they need to do better job at staffing this location during busy hours. read more

Drive through or bust I have visited this Starbucks for many summers and other seasons. It can be a grand central station of Falmouth with people waiting for their drinks in the interior My 3 stars is lower or average because there seems to be a long wait time for drinks which does not correlate with the size of the establishment. I should know the algorithm and order 20 minutes before I arrive but it always seems to take a long time to get drinks. There is a spacious seating and restrooms in the back which is nice. The staff is friendly. I have order for mobile pick up and order in person. Wrap up - Order on the mobile app in advance to skip the wait time. read more

So after my last review, my fiancé made me go back. Even my Starbucks addicted better half was instantly appalled. Her drink was ready 25min before mine was. If they're ordered together, should they not come out together???? The management, or lack thereof, leads to chaos in the store. Nasty notes on a white board visible to employees as well as patrons. Instead of.....maybe something positive. No care of getting drinks out in a timely manner. There needs to be a cut off for mobile orders at some point. If the store is backed up 20min then maybe you should slow it down. Instead of losing customers. Service etiquette is cookie cutter. I would expect a company like Starbucks to get it. The only saving grace for today were the abundance of pajama pants in the store. This is a very slow and inefficient Starbucks. Workers always seem to be goofing off instead of doing their jobs.

Did the drive through during this first and only visits. Accurate and good fulfillment of drink orders. However, be advised that the drive through is tight so don't bring you large truck or try to tow your trailer through it. read more

This is a favorite destination when coming off Martha's Vineyard or as a last stop before returning to the island. I also get some amusement from recalling its previous role as a bank when I was younger. The most recent visit 48 hours ago revealed that the store is slated for a re-model next month, so I'll be curious to see how the design evolves. In previous visits, consistency and personability have been the name of the game here, with the staff doing a good job of maintaining fresh faces and dependable output in the face of often full crowds. read more

We visited this location Wednesday, June 15. I am an embarrassed regular at this location (please don't tell my parents how much I spend on one latte). While the staff is overall nice, I cannot comprehend why, with eight baristas, drive thru and mobile order ahead were the only options that day. "Why didn't you drive through?" Asked one employee. Well, our truck doesn't fit, so I fumbled around with my phone to mobile order while inside the building as eight baristas stood around on a slow Wednesday. A man approached the counter, was told the drill, and marched out angrily saying that he'd never be back. I get it. I get the labor shortage, the reduction of hours of operation, etc., etc., but the is just stupid and borderline insulting. We don't all have the access to automobiles or smartphones, believe it or not. I am well steeped in the industry, and this system seems just whacked. Starbucks as a whole needs to stop half-assing their way through the present. Fast forward to Thursday, June 23, 2022, as I wrap up writing this review and same protocols are in place. I'm actually standing inside Starbucks using their Wi-Fi to write this review. Eight baristas. No counter service. I prefer the Buzzards Bay store where they fly POW and military flags... On the West Coast, Starbucks are ubiquitous. A famous city block in Portland (Oregon), has one on each corner. But on the East Coast, you can have a one Starbucks town. This Starbucks has been renovated, cleaned up, has a drive thru. There's ample parking, since it's in a large strip mall. For the most part, the staff is friendly, tho cleanliness varies according to the time of day. While they've had short-lived promotions like unicorn&tie-dye Frappuccinos, they have solid specials like blueberry cobbler/pie Frappuccino, or the Nitro Cold Brew with cascara and foam. If you need to be caffeinated after a long day of work, Starbucks is reliable. Tho they have Massachusetts signature mugs, it still has a West Coast vibe. It's a bit fancier than other coffee shops in the area. read more

The people are nice and try hard but they need to Adjust how better way to handle when it gets busy. There answer is to turn off Mobile on weekends. With covid 19 around this summer that does not make sense . Set up mobile by door to have orders ready and tell folks drinks will be ready in 15 min. read more

The location of this Starbucks is in a high-traffic area and there are times where you would have trouble if you want to turn left. The over all establishment looks good on the inside is not really that big but could probably see a couple dozen people, maybe. This Starbucks does have a drive-through as well. You can tell with some of the employees that they just don't want to be at work because you can hardly get a smile out of them. They are very courteous though and sometimes looks like they run a fin crew which makes it difficult when you're trying to serve the front end and the drive through at the same time. There is only one drink that I come here for and that's a quad shot mocha. Most of the time when I get it they don't mix it saw a lot of the Boca ends up coding the bottom of the cup minimizing the overall flavor. read more

the falmouth location is extremely unprofessional! I had waited an hour for my mobile order and was told it is because of the cape cod summers and that it would be another half hour! We came to this Starbucks for the past two days while on vacation at the cape and my caramel macchiato tasted horrible. I order mine hot and stirred and the first tasted like a skim milk steamer with no coffee. The next tasted like a slim latte with no caramel! If I didn't have to kill an hour I would never have been here but opt for the bridge Starbucks. The girl working the drive in, 8:15 am, Sunday morning has to be the loudest, talkative employee I have ever heard. No regard for customers or fellow employees. Customers lounge in this location using chairs as foot stools, chair backs are broken ( check table chairs by the door), tables and chairs dirty with 4 employees standing around when not to busy at 8 am. Never vacuumed from the night before, wrappers and napkins all over the floor and this was not from this am. As we speak a woman has just started dragging chairs and tables back into the places that they belong, exposing more crumbs and .... who knows what, from the day before. No vacuum. No uniform policy? No set shirt or dress code. Make on floor that's restocking is in baseball t shirt, cargo pants and converse sneakers. He is working, restocking shelves and bringing product to the floor. Positive is the male counter person. Very nice. Greets you when you walk into the door and approaching the counter. This place ughhh, how is this location still open and operated this way. This Starbucks is ALWAYS busy and packed basically being the only coffee location outside of downtown Falmouth. The drive thru is also always long. I STRONGLY recommend placing your order on your mobile and picking up. They are super efficient with fulfilling orders and you don't have to wait in line. Literally the best, you are in and out. Slow and rude service. Be prepared to wait 30 min or more for just a black iced coffee. Then once it's made, you can stare at it on the counter and wait an extra 10 minutes for the employees to hand it to you. I've been to Starbucks all over the United States and this is by far the worst one I've ever been to. I waited 32 minutes for my coffee today and this is not the first time!! Almost-every time I come here The minimum you have to wait is 10 minutes and they never offer you anything for sitting and waiting for so long. It's always understaffed, never clean and never prepared for the amount of people that are going to come in, because this is a vacation spot. I would not recommend this Starbucks and I will be making the drive to Mashpee Commons for my Starbucks from now on. read more

I went into the Starbucks Falmouth location today, delighted that there was only one person ahead of me in line and two others already waiting for their drinks. 20 minutes later after watching numerous cars go through the drive up and an employee get about 10 drinks ready for the customers that put their orders online did I get my drink.
