If you haven't been to Beanie's Coffee inside Hype Tea Market yet, you are seriously missing out! The vibe is incredibly welcoming, the owner and staff are friendly and helpful. The drink menu is completely unmatched in Reno, with Biscoff Lattes, Lemon Bar Matcha, and Frescas con Crema. You absolutely have to get the Banana Pudding Matcha Latte. It is made with real bananas and topped with crumbled Nilla wafer cookies. It tastes just like a banana cream pie but balances perfectly with their high-quality matcha. It is smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. They also have a coffee version. If your looking for decaf coffee unfortunately they dont carry it. Hopefully soon! I do love that they have cold foams to top off your drinks. And carry alternate milk options like almond and oat milk. We also ordered the Banana Cabana cold brew off of the Summer Special menu. Yelp Review -- Beanie's Coffee I heard about Beanie's Coffee from my brother, and as a huge matcha fan, I was immediately intrigued when he told me they had a banana matcha! I love trying different matcha drinks, so of course I had to go give it a try. When I first went, it was pretty empty, so I was able to order really quickly--which I loved because I'm not a fan of waiting around, although who is?! The person working was super friendly and actually took the time to go over the menu with me, which I really appreciated. I ordered the Banana Pudding Matcha and OMG... SO GOOD! It was seriously delicious. It even came topped with little vanilla wafers, which was such a cute touch and went perfectly with the drink. I loved it so much that I went back the very next day for another one! The second day they were much busier, but it was still totally worth the wait. Everyone working was super friendly and sweet. I ordered the Banana Pudding Matcha and it was amazing! Sometimes adding a non-dairy milk on a speciality drink can make it a bit lackluster, but I ordered it with oatmilk and it was delicious! The shop is small but inviting, definitely a place I can see myself getting some work done or chatting with friends! I hope to be back soon! read more

don't usually go for the sweet coffee treat situation... but this one got me. Had the caramel cold brew with banana cold foam and yeah... this thing slapped. Balanced, not overly sweet, and the banana actually worked way better than I expected. Could've easily gone artificial or heavy and it didn't. Just smooth, clean, and honestly kind of addictive. This was my second time going to Beanies, and they seriously have some really good drinks! The first time I went, I tried their banana pudding matcha latte, and it was by far the best. I honestly think they have some of the best matcha drinks around. The flavor was smooth, perfectly balanced, and not overly sweet. On my second visit, I tried the raspberry cheesecake drink. The cheesecake topping was so creamy and delicious, it added the perfect rich touch to the drink. Definitely a spot I'll keep coming back to! read more

I tried coming here 3 different times and finally got to try it! The first time, we didn't realize they aren't open in the mornings; we showed up around 9am but they did not open until around lunchtime. The second time, they happened to be temporarily closed for a few days and we didn't know until seeing a sign on the door. Right around that time, they actually changed their hours to be open earlier in the mornings! On the third try, we finally made it in and got to order some coffees. The shop is located inside another store which makes it feel like a hidden gem. I was going to order a different drink but once I read the raving reviews about their banana pudding matcha and how it was their best seller, I knew I had to try it. This drink was incredible!! Not something I typically would've ordered but I was very impressed. The banana flavor didn't taste artificial, it actually tasted like real banana mixed into the drink. The matcha had a perfect level of sweetness without being too bitter or overpowering the banana. You could taste both flavors equally and they completed each other well. This is definitely a spot worth stopping for and trying out! The customer service and hospitality were unmatched. I ordered a mango matcha latte. I had asked if it was very sweet and I was told she would re make it for me if it tasted too sweet for me because she wants me to be happy and enjoy my drink! It did end up being too sweet for me and she re made it for me no cost at all and was happy to do so. Never once have I had this great of an experience at a business. Beanie's is a great hidden coffee gem in Reno, I honestly wouldn't have known about it if it wasn't for my fiancé. The staff are friendly and welcoming and have always been genuine and sincere for the last 3 times we've been there. This small coffee shop is tucked away in the Hype Tea Market, but the ambiance suits the energy well. Lastly, but most importantly the coffee is delicious, this is probably the best banana matcha I've ever had, it's not too milky and watered down like what Dutch Bros and Starbucks are serving, you can genuinely taste the banana and matcha. I'm not sure if they're actually blending an actual banana instead of using powdered versions of it, but it makes a whole world of difference. Tried Beanies inside Hype Tea and the matcha was actually really good It's not a standalone café--it's located inside the shop--but the quality surprised me. They are located inside Hype Tea. You won't see their name or sign at the top of the building. It will be on the door, glass & a sign outside the door. It seems they forgot or got our order mixed up as we waited for our last drink for a bit. Luckily, the barista noticed us still waiting. That , I appreciate as they were observing & gave acknowledgement. We got Strawberry matcha, banana pudding matcha & brown sugar espresso. All good! Must try! Their banana pudding latte is absolutely one of the best, if not the best, banana lattes out there. nothing beats out fresh made banana pudding to flavor the latte. tastes fresh and real, where as sometimes banana lattes taste too artificial. it's really good, and the owner is super cool and attentive. they remember us and our orders. my brother also loves the cloud matcha! says it's really refreshing and the perfect combo. we've put a lot of people on and will continue to do so. check it out, worth the price, and the sweet treat. read more

i am absolutely in love with this place! i found them on an instagram post randomly one day and i love checking out locally owned coffee shops - all of the options here are so good and the espresso is incredible! the drinks are not super sweet & and they always make them look so cute. the team behind the counter are so helpful and kind, the inside of the shop is super fun to look around in, and it's just overall an amazing spot to check out. read more

We decided to stop by after being in the area, and were pleasantly blown away by the spacious seating area (for working or conversing), kind baristas, and incredible roasts of coffee. I obviously had to opt for my go-to order of a lavender latte, which was so fragrant and one of the BEST that I've had. Highly recommend checking them out if you're looking for a quality coffee shop that's not in Midtown, and I know that I'll be back again very soon!
