They didn't let it bother them and the staff member apologized profusely for the wait. They ordered and I perused the menu. After many different thoughts as to what I would want, I ended up ordering a mushroom iced coffee. I was somewhat wary when I ordered it, but it sounded good. It came in two sizes and I opted for the smallest size. It came out and I was nervous, but it was actually really good. At almost $7 for the small, I was a little surprised. My kids however have informed me that this is a normal price anymore. I actually enjoyed the drink and would order again if over that way. They had a nice selection and had some baked goods you could order with your coffee if you want.

I did not have this shop on my radar and only found it because we were in Zelienople. It is located on a side street right off Main Street and parking was easy as there were a number of spots both in front and just past it. The shop itself is welcoming with a dark brown colored floor, a grey brick coffee bar and a wooden board ceiling. The tables are all live edge and the photos around the shop focus on nature. There is also a small area with merchandise for sale. For my coffee this morning I decided to go with an Americano while my wife went with an iced vanilla latte. We also picked up a stamped gingerbread molasses shortbread cookie and a biscotti which we shared with our kids. The biscotti had a nice snap and great flavor while the gingerbread cookie was deep and rich with those warm gingerbread spices. It was good enough that I went back up and bought another one just for my wife. As for the coffee, both my wife and I really enjoyed it. My Americano came out piping hot. After letting it cool a bit I tried it and thought the flavor was excellent. Letting the coffee speak for itself was the right move here. It had some fruity notes before finishing with a natural sweetness that I really enjoy in coffee. I would not call it bold, probably due to the size of the Americano, but it certainly was not muted either. Honestly, if I had added milk or creamer to this cup I think it would have ruined the flavor that I liked so much. My only issue was that the bottom quarter of the cup had a lot of grounds in it. There were enough that I ended up throwing the rest away. I was also able to try my wife's coffee and really enjoyed what I think was a homemade vanilla flavoring. It almost had a caramel like note that paired nicely with the coffee. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. My wife and I both liked the vibe of the shop and the coffee was very good. I only wish my Americano had not been filled with grounds at the bottom.

Coffee wasn't acidic at all, nice and smooth and husband's lemonade was well mixed and a nice blend of flavors. They do sell their own line of teas and coffees to take home. The Barista was very friendly and well versed in their products. He offered to remake our drinks if we wanted something adjusted and answered any questions we had. Price wise its a little steep for me $6 for a medium cold brew and $7 for a lemonade but with the quality we got I understand why. Hope to stop in again.

This coffee shop is located right on Freeport Road in Blawnox. The inside is cozy, with photos on the walls, a couple of pastry cases, and a wall full of plants and plant-themed artwork. The bright wood tables, arranged in a herringbone pattern, paired nicely with the baby blue chairs and gave the shop a welcoming feel. After seeing that they exclusively served Rosa beans and seemed very proud of that, both my wife and I decided to order Americanos. My wife chose hers iced while I went with mine hot. My daughter ordered a cinnamon swirl, and I added a chicken empanada. About five minutes later our entire order was ready, and we headed back to the car. I started with the empanada. It had a nice flaky crust, and the chicken filling had good flavor, although it was a little on the dry side. My daughter didn't share her cinnamon swirl, but she assured me that it was good. After finishing my empanada, I moved on to my coffee and thought it was excellent. It opened with a touch of bitterness before settling into a smooth, rich coffee flavor that I really enjoyed. I was hoping to pick up some distinctive varietal notes on the finish but wasn't able to find any. Even so, it was still a very enjoyable cup of coffee. My wife also enjoyed her iced Americano. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our coffees, and the food made for a nice accompaniment as well.

Nonetheless, I will list out the ways in which I think you might have a better experience going to another national chain ANY other national coffee chain, take your pick. I came here for the first time since the Pittsburgh location is within walking distance from my apartment. I was hoping to order a coffee and sit with my laptop for the afternoon on a weekday. In checking out the online menu before my visit, I discovered that Shibam is a national chain with many locations and its own app for ordering. In the app, the iced drinks appear to be served in glass, but in-person, they are not. Their house-branded plastic cups are hard to sip from. I couldn't get a decent sip of my iced latte without sounding like a wet-vac. How is the price? Is the quality worth it? Quick answer: no and no. I paid $8.67 for their flagship iced latte, The Shibam. It was prepared quickly since the shop was not busy. I couldn't even contemplate a pastry because except for the $3+ croissant, every offering was pricey. Add those numbers together, with an iced latte and a $8.10 "milk cake," for example, that's over $16, not to mention the app shoves the tip option in your face every step of checkout. My latte was weirdly separated (see photo) and took awhile to come together as a cohesive drink. Lastly, my lid was not fully applied to my cup when it was left on the pick-up shelf at the back of the shop by the barista. What can I say about the shop's interior? Too bright, too loud. I would describe it as hospital-chic. The floors are white, the tables are fake Carrara marble, and most of the walls an antiseptic gray with a handful of cultural motifs thrown in for good measure. Only the caning on the chairs add the only form of visual interest; everything else is as special as a mini-mall. The place echoes like the Grand Canyon. In other words, it's not a discreet spot to hold your spy meetings with your cadre because every word can be heard 'round the world. Yeesh. Final verdict: save your money and go elsewhere. I couldn't finish my $8 iced latte.
