The was my first time to Beantown Diner. The staff are friendly and efficient. I was greeted upon my arrival and seated quickly. They offer alcohol beverages and the best breakfast ever. I had the 2x2x2 which was so good I didn't have a chance to get a picture of my eggs and bacon. The pancakes were perfect; the right size, texture, and taste. I would definately return to this diner for breakfast.

Loved my experience here! I have to say this was by far the FASTEST service I have ever received! Maybe because they open at midnight so there isn't a big rush at the "typical" open time. We were able to get seated right away and not even 10 minutes later our food was on the table. Reese's pancakes were top notch. They had the perfect balance of buttermilk pancake and peanut butter flavor. Bacon and cheese omelette was packed with crispy bacon. Could have used a little more cheese to even the taste out but overall delicious! Steak Benedict was cooked great! Steak cooked exactly how it was asked to be done. Hollaindais sauce was on point. Hot chocolate was one of the best I've had.

This is a small diner so the wait to be seated is expected. We waited about 20 minutes to be seated. This is a family friendly diner which is a plus when dining with a toddler, having highchairs is a plus for me. Not only was our waitress really nice but our food were really good. If you plan to dine here, plan ahead for there will be a wait, there's also plenty of parking

First impression was that it was PACKED for a Monday so it must be good or a local favorite. We kind of saw it coming when we were lucky enough to find the last parking spot. Their menu has everything that's typical with some creativity on the pancakes. It was actually hard to decide what I wanted since everything sounded good and we went around noon so either breakfast or lunch food was appropriate. We ended up ordering a cheeseburger and the Fenway omelet with turkey sausage instead of pork sausage. One thing I didn't like that we noticed after is that we were charged $2 for turkey sausage even though we replaced it due to dietary restrictions. I got to try the omelet and it was amazing! Cheesy, a tiny crunch from veggies, a tad spicy from the sausage. The egg was cooked perfectly. The burger was good but I wasn't wowed by it. I was afraid they'd use store bought frozen beef patties but it actually looked handmade and thick. The cheese melted right on there and it came with fresh tomatoes and lettuce. The bread might have been a mixture between a croissant and brioche bun, it was good. The fries are average. I would come here again for sure but get an omelette!!

The chef here is amazing!! I love the way they do the omelette, not too thick. Great customer service and quick !!

Great Diner!! Tons of different options to choose from. I loved my blueberry pancakes! The Beantown Turkey Omelette was fantastic with real roasted turkey....not deli meat.....with fresh mushrooms & onions. I got the Rueben Sandwich the next day and was impressed with the housemade corned beef!! When I'm near Stoughton I'll dine here! Also daily specials on the chalkboard.

It's colorful, it's groovy, it's bright, it's nostalgic. Even the employees are wearing shirts with funky themes and patterns. There are TVs showing shows from back then. The floors are checkered, the ceiling is silver, the chairs are red and the tables are blue. We were seated at a booth, which can more than comfortably sit 4-6 people. The menu is HUGE, think cheesecake factory but for a diner. There's a little bit of everything but the font and everything around it makes it hard to focus on what each item is. I went very simple and chose the Simon and Garfunkel which included two pancakes or French toast, two eggs, two bacon, two sausage, toast, and home fries for $18.99. After about 15 minutes, our food came out. The bacon could have been crispier, with some parts being wobbly. The sausage was thick, juicy, and savory. The potatoes were a little bland and mushy on the outside. The eggs were cooked medium, just how I requested them, and the englush muffin was a little different than your traditional ones since it didn't have the little pockets of air but it was still good. The French toast was moist, but I wish it had more cinnamon - the egg was the dominant flavor. Overall, it was a very satisfying breakfast. There is plenty of parking as it's in a plaza

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing from start to finish. When we first arrived, we noticed the chefs in the kitchen wearing bonnets, which came across as unprofessional and not what we expected given the reputation of the place. After being seated, we waited nearly 10 minutes without any service and had to flag someone down just to take our order. We ordered oxtails with eggs on cocoa bread with cheese, along with jerk chicken with French toast. When the food came out, the order was incorrect--they brought jerk chicken with waffles instead. My mother-in-law politely explained the mistake to the waitress (a middle-aged woman), but instead of fixing it right away, the waitress began going back and forth with her, insisting that waffles were what we ordered. I stepped in to clarify that we had definitely ordered French toast, but even after that, the situation wasn't handled properly. When the dish came back, it was still wrong, and the waitress had an attitude the entire time. While we were there, we also noticed that other customers didn't seem satisfied. Several plates around us looked barely touched. The man sitting next to us ordered the same oxtails with eggs on cocoa bread and cheese and didn't eat his meal at all before leaving, which raised even more concerns about the food quality. To make matters worse, as we were getting ready to leave, I tried to place a to-go order. At that point, the waitress was still going back and forth with my mother-in-law. She then took our plate and said she wasn't going to deal with this and refused to take our order altogether, which was extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. Overall, the service was rude, the order was mishandled, and the experience did not live up to the expectations set by the reviews. Between the long wait, poor communication, and lack of professionalism, I would not recommend coming here.

I asked for Homefries to be cooked extra crispy but it didn't come out that way. Sourdough toast was not fresh and barely toasted. Gather is a place where the value proposition I seek is there. The food options are unique, creative, and interesting. It left me feeling indecisive about four of them before a discussion with the server helped me narrow things down... barely. If I were more or less local, I'd return and try the other three! I had the opportunity to try the Peach Cobbler French Toast and the Campfire Hot Chocolate. The campfire hot chocolate was a delight! I loved the addition of marshmallow, graham cracker bits, and a chocolate drizzle (plus whipped cream, of course). The cocoa itself is solid, but the campfire additions are what make it great and help me feel like a kid again (though I've never been around a campfire). Then there was the Peach Cobbler French Toast. Don't let the photo fool you, this piece was both large and thick! While it might not have had the crisp exterior and soft interior of "perfect" French toast, I think that is by design, with this dish being a hybrid between French toast and peach cobbler. With that said, there was some crispness on the outside and a soft, peachy, bready/cakey interior. The peaches were in perfect amounts, and the sweetness was on point. The mark of a really good French toast is when it doesn't require syrup and butter to be palatable, and this one was perfect as is. I also want to give a big shout-out to the service. The food came out fast, fresh, and hot. The server was very kind, friendly, and attentive. Final Verdict: Gather is a rare breakfast place that makes items I could not make for myself at home. The prices seem to be in line with the quality of the product, and the service was excellent! I would love to return when I find myself in this general area of Mass.

It's pretty small 10 tables or so with a counter area that had 6 or so seats. Menu looked great! It took our server close to 10 minutes to come to our table. They had 3 or 4 servers on for 10 tables should be no issues. We ordered our food and I ordered a flight of lattes. So the appetizer came out, it was the breakfast egg rolls. They were ok. Not much flavor to them. My French toast came out next with my wife's eggs. The French toast i asked for extra butter on the side. I didn't get any butter. I asked the server and finally got some. Next my side of sausage and corned beef hash came out. Still no water, side plates or silverware. Finally, my lattes came out. My wife's latte never showed up. I had to return my French toast to the kitchen. It was barely grilled and was super mushy. It seemed like all the kitchen wanted to do was push out food with no timing of the rest of the ticket. Overall, I see so much potential, maybe we will give it another try. With so many amazing brunch places, it's hard to give 2nd chances.

Owned and run by the same couple for at least 20 years, this place is consistently the very best in the area . Today was no different , scrambled eggs with jack cheese and a little hot sauce, delicious sausage links, fabulous home fries and coffee. My breakfast partner got a meat lovers omelette in a roll up. I posted a few pics of the meals today . Note bread is served with the meals we ordered , but neither of us has room for the bread so we tell them to not put it in the plate . why waste it. Service is fabulous , she ( co-owner) recognizes us whenever we (or I alone) eat there, even though have not been here in a few months . In Fact , today, after I gave my order she reminded me that I usually have jack cheese melted in to my scrambled eggs , and did I want it today. Well that is amazing service seeing as it's been a few months since came here last time. ( we live several towns away , and eat here if some shopping or business escapade brings us to Norwood.) Food was on the table within 5 minutes of placing the order.. For ambiance , well , this is a real diner car restaurant. Stainless steel exterior and all.. there are not many of these remaining in the country. I think about 10 booths and 10 counter seats. The place seems like a potential Norman Rockwell painting . Alas, Norman is no longer available for this task. I believe it is a historic site building so the , down 2 steps to the bathroom , is allowed but keep in mind if you are not capable of making the trip down the stars. Honestly the only negative I can come up with is in the winter time don't sit near the door. There is no entrance vestibule so the cold can be noticed when the door opens and closes. I suspect that modifying the building may not be allowed to put one in anyway . Bottom line is don't hesitate , this is the best there is . For the next closest breakfast lunch restaurant that is of this quality you have to travel to the Wrentham - Franklin line on route 140 . I don't think we are allowed to mention other locations .
