In todays business world customers are what every business wants and needs. But apparently NOT for this place. They must have more customers than they want. Call them, you will see. I called and was told please wait. No problem. After 5 min of listening to the kitchen work I decided to jump in my car and drive to the location. I walked it, still waiting on the phone, and asked to speak with the owner / manager. I gentleman walked up and I presented my phone to him. Classic diner spot! Got there on a Sunday before 9:30 am and the restaurant was already busy. My friend and I picked our table and were served soon after. The server was super friendly and helpful. I went with the blueberry pancake breakfast meal and it was tasty. The coffee and breakfast was exactly what I'm looking for in a diner meal. I love Beantown Diner. Not at all pretentious, just good homemade food. They prepare their own deli meats--that is, they make their own turkey, corn beef, etc. Their corn beef hash Benedict is amazing!! Homemade corn beef hash, ample potatoes, very good homemade hollandaise, and the cooks make their own deli poached eggs the old fashioned way (stirred into boiling water, they are simply perfect. I only took a point off because it can get very noisy and crowded, but the staff, simply put, are super busy, yet somehow also very accommodating. read more

Do not eat here! The wait staff is racist and rude. My waitress in particular was rude, condescending, and aggressive...about a breakfast order... I watched as she squeezed herself in between a family of color as they were coming in and then proceeded to not serve them. She called the other waitress over who was busy complaining about another customer who she realized forgot his phone but wasn't willing to make any attempts to make him aware of that. Instead she made jokes about it with the other customers. I informed the manager but to be honest he couldn't have cared less as he had just received another complaint five mins prior and was busy making dishes in the kitchen. I've seen enough, I go there all the time and tip generously. never again! I will stick with The Corner cafe where the waitress is the kindest. i was only at beantown because it's Monday and Corner cafe is closed. The food is good. I was a customer for years. I'm done. There was always that one server who was extremely rude. She seems to adhere to the principle that the customer is always wrong. Yesterday, she refused to give me a takeout bag--three times. I was bewildered. I politely suggested she add a surcharge to my bill. She retorted that I should just put my leftovers into my handbag. I didn't deserve that. I was never anything except nice to her, and I had my 90-year-old mother with me. Something triggered her, but I left in tears. Money is too hard to come by to spend it at a restaurant that employs jerks. I wish I hadn't tipped her so well over the years. She never deserved it. read more

Loved my experience here! I have to say this was by far the FASTEST service I have ever received! Maybe because they open at midnight so there isn't a big rush at the "typical" open time. We were able to get seated right away and not even 10 minutes later our food was on the table. Reese's pancakes were top notch. They had the perfect balance of buttermilk pancake and peanut butter flavor. Bacon and cheese omelette was packed with crispy bacon. Could have used a little more cheese to even the taste out but overall delicious! Steak Benedict was cooked great! Steak cooked exactly how it was asked to be done. Hollaindais sauce was on point. Great service, good food, and a generally welcome vibe! We were served by Pam, one of the best, awesome people that I've come across. We ordered the Steak and Eggs and Beantown Bomb omelette. Everything that we had was excellent. The kitchen messed up our order which Pam was able to quickly fix. Our english muffin and beans came out slowly as the kitchen forgot to include them. And the steak, while I know it was ordered rare, was actually on the cold side. If it wasn't for Pam, this would have been a three star visit. Everything tasted great, and I do understand a busy kitchen as all of their tables were full, which is why I'm willing to overlook the faults. Looking forward to coming back more often, but I'll call ahead to make sure that Pam is working that day! read more

We go to beantown every Tuesday and sometimes Thursday. Breakfast and lunch are always so fresh and good. Omelettes are thin and good. Pancakes fluffy and filling. If you're looking for fresh turkey go here they make it fresh almost everyday and have great clubs. If you like lox eggs and onions go here but ask for it fluffy otherwise you may get a small portion with little crumbles and it's $15 so speak up for this one. The lox platter is fresh and amazing . The grilled chicken salad is so big and the chicken is good. Owner very nice servers are awesome Adam is super nice and if he knows you he knows your order. The 2 Sharon's are also fantastic along with the other girl too. When you come here you get yo know the staff and the people and you feel like you are eating at home! read more

First impression was that it was PACKED for a Monday so it must be good or a local favorite. We kind of saw it coming when we were lucky enough to find the last parking spot. Their menu has everything that's typical with some creativity on the pancakes. It was actually hard to decide what I wanted since everything sounded good and we went around noon so either breakfast or lunch food was appropriate. We ended up ordering a cheeseburger and the Fenway omelet with turkey sausage instead of pork sausage. One thing I didn't like that we noticed after is that we were charged $2 for turkey sausage even though we replaced it due to dietary restrictions. I got to try the omelet and it was amazing! Cheesy, a tiny crunch from veggies, a tad spicy from the sausage. The egg was cooked perfectly. The burger was good but I wasn't wowed by it. I was afraid they'd use store bought frozen beef patties but it actually looked handmade and thick. The cheese melted right on there and it came with fresh tomatoes and lettuce. The bread might have been a mixture between a croissant and brioche bun, it was good. The fries are average. I would come here again for sure but get an omelette!! read more

There is no line and everybody just packs into the main waiting area, there seems to be no designated person to take your name. Lots of mix ups and arguing among waiting customers/staff on who is next in line to be seated when I was there (staff/customer were literally yelling). While this has nothing to do with food, it definitely deters people from going here. read more

Arrived at noon for a late breakfast. We weren't exactly greeted, just had someone point to a table for us to sit at. We waited 10 minutes for the waitress to take our order. You could tell she was extremely stressed as she was rushing around everywhere. we should've known by the Help Wanted sign at the door. Fast forward to 1:00pm... we watched 2 other tables seated well after us receive their food. At that point, we knew it was downhill. We were very hungry with no food in sight. Beantown diner was a hit for us that night. This was my first visit but my boyfriend tends to go here a lot. We got the French toast which was tasty & 2 orders of homefries and egg&cheese sandwiches. The egg sandwiches felt pretty thin (each had one egg). The homefries were great. Nice and crispy. We brought my cousin with me and he also liked the homefries and the French toast. For all three of us the bill came to 35$. Pretty affordable. If I'm the area, we would come back. Only complaint I have was our waitress was clearly stressed out and didn't care about keeping it on the low. She took forever to bring my cousins French toast. By the time it came to the table he was done eating everything else and we were already annoyed. However, it was a busy night. Just wished we got more attention throughout our time there. read more

We recently moved to Stoughton, and this has become one of our local faves. THE BEST POTATO HASHBROWNS! They are potato chunks vs. shredded, but the seasoning they put on them is addicting. Tasty, affordable breakfast & lunch staples - no frills diner feel, but the staff is very quick and all have been there for forever so it feels like family. Typical family owned diner, extremely packed. Super family friendly restaurant though and servers were warm heartedly welcoming. Service was phenomenal, always checking up on us even though it was busy! I ended up getting their country omelette which basically consisted of mushrooms, Swiss cheese, onions and sausage. The perfect ratio of meats and legumes. Not compete without a side of home fries, although I'm slightly disappointed that the home fries were more grilled than fried. I do come here because their food is decent and the reason why gave it 3 stars. However when walking in I feel like I stand out like a sore thumb. I'm African American and I tell you the truth when I say the service is different for us in my opinion. I walked in today and instead of asking me how I can be helped the woman answered and took calls to place phone orders. I finally was helped and placed my order. I waited at least 25 minutes. I was giving the wrong food. And was told someone else "took mines". The cook shouted "I don't like when you guys say that someone took it". Meaning she gave the wrong food away. She apologized and had me waiting more went looking for the guy as I would have then took the food back. They finally decided to make me my order. Walked in and stood at the door about 15 seconds before we sat ourselves. It felt awkward the chef just looked at us and didn't say a word. I ordered Chicken Cordon Bleu Omelette with extra cheese. I requested my omelette soft. It was really good loaded with meat. Home Fries were seasoned well pretty good even though they were luke warm. Toasted Blueberry Muffin was tasty it had sweet Blueberries. Homemade Corned Beef Hash was decent. The more I ate the more I enjoyed it. My husband orderd the Beantown Toast. He really enjoyed his food. Bacon was crispy and tasted amazing. Sausage was good. Ham was incredible. Hubby said the Homemade Corned Beef was really good.
