the cutest little breakfast joint in Weymouth! My husband and I are visiting some family this weekend from Florida and they took us to eat here and it did not disappoint. I went out of my comfort zone from my regular order I usually get at a breakfast place and got egg Florentine with spinach, tomato, and Canadian bacon with Hollandaise. We stopped in for a quick lunch and had a great meal for a good price. I very much enjoyed the gyro sandwich. It almost tasted like i got it straight from a Greek festival, and that is a high compliment! My wife ordered a chicken salad sandwich that she absolutely loved but I was off in gyro land and had no time for chicken salad. Our waitress was super nice and didn't mind that our baby was throwing fries around on the floor (don't worry I cleaned up most of it myself). Service was quick and food came out fairly quickly as well. There is plenty of parking although the lot is a slight pain to get in and out of. We would definitely eat here again! read more

Wife ordered a veggie omelette that was a massive scrambled mess - way to many mushrooms and black olives; it didn't resemble an omelette at all. Each order is WAY to much food. When I was a newer Yelper and could only vaguely imagine hitting my 100th review, I thought I would use it for something grand. But in reality, reviewing Nikos makes perfect sense for this half-Greek gal from NYC who spends a lot of time looking for Greek diner-worthy counterparts here in the greater Boston area. While Nikos is still very different from the diners of my youth, it does a good enough job for me in providing a great breakfast experience. We've been here a few times including this morning when even bright and early the place was hopping. At 9:30 AM we got a seat right away but 10 minutes later there was a line waiting. It's a cute place with a certain quaint charm to it. There is a fairly extensive menu of options and my eyes are always bigger than my stomach. This morning for example I wanted to order an omelet and pancakes. But more wisely, I just got the Florentine omelet that had spinach, mozzarella cheese and tomato in it. It needed perhaps a couple of more minutes on the grill to melt the mozzarella a bit more. Nonetheless, it was delicious and I beat my husband to the clean plate club finish line. He got an omelet that was way too complicated with ingredients for me including things I don't eat like ham and pepperoni, but he loved it. The omelets can be made with egg-whites only; an option I personally look for and appreciate. As you would expect they also come with hash browns and a choice of toast. I liked the fruit on the side which included orange and very sweet cantaloupe. Nothing like some fruit with your fat. The downside on some occasions including today, is that the coffee isn't very good. Today it was bitter and I ended up not drinking it. They need to invest in a better coffee machine as I think we can agree, bitter coffee is not the way to start an otherwise fabulous meal. Nikos is only one town over from us in Hingham but wouldn't be a bad ride from Boston if you had other things you wanted to do here on the South Shore. My quest for the perfect diner in New England certainly isn't over but this place sure is good. read more

Nikos is the place to go to if you are in the Hingham-Weymouth area for breakfast. While the food itself is just above average at best, the welcoming environment, generous portions and extremely reasonable prices make this one of the best breakfast joints in the area. Even the meals that are meant to be smaller have enough food to feed any ravenous eater. The waitstaff is always friendly, and they add to the environment as well. The only criticism I have is of the food. This isn't to say that it's bad, it's that it's only "pretty good". You will not be blown away here, but you will be satisfied. 4.25/5 read more

Went there Yesterday for breakfast. I ordered the farmers omelette, only containing veggies listed on the menu. I asked waitress if there was any meat in omelette she told me there wasn't. ( i am strictly vegetarian ). I got the omelette and started to eat it then noticed there was some ham on the plate. Not sure if it was in the whole omelette but i stopped eating it after. I use to get the steak salad from here a long time ago. It was delicious back then. However, it's not so good this past year. The steak has been very over cooked and tough the last 3 times that I ordered the steak salad. I figured I would give them the benefit of the doubt today, and order a steak salad. Updated: I'm sad to say the Niko's we enjoyed when we first moved to the 'hood is no more. Those who are still giving it high marks likely never visited during the good 'ole days. We returned recently and the menu has changed and not for the better. I can appreciate the addition of the ever trendy "avo toast"... but missed some old favorites. The menu is much smaller and not as unique. The food was okay. Home fries were lackluster but everything else was palatable. So why the low rating? Customer service - very poor. There were some issues with the bill that could have been easily resolved and it was like pulling teeth, lots of denial and blaming the customer for a situation that really just involved a simple reversal of an incorrect credit card charge. In the end, they lost us as customers. We will go next door where service is with a smile and the food is better these days. read more
