Sweet Portugese French toast w a caramel drizzle and a side order of bacon. Red Sangria. Mmmmmm
    Dave C.

Great place found gem by accident Owner greeted me from forward facing kitchen. Very comfortable sit down tables. Able to handle small to large. Ordered Portugese Sweet bread with a caramel glaze. French toast thick but airy like Angel Food cake but Tastier. Caramel glaze on top partnered well with the side of bacon and the Red Sangria. Great Eats.

The shrimp and grits was outstanding!

Love this place, the food is always a one love, their rum punch. The service is great love the ambience. It's very chill laid-back.

What a find!!!! Every time I come here the host is always super nice and very patient. I think I've tried a bunch of things on the menu. I absolutely love the oxtail coco bread sandwich it's one of the best sandwiches I ever had, super creative and flavors just burst in your mouth. The grits are ok with some salt added, chicken wings are delicious. One of the best run punches around. The atmosphere is chill like a local spot where everyone knows you. Decor is a little dated but you're here for the food. The only major downfall is that this place is barely ever open not even open for dinner. Just a straight up weekend brunch spot but I try to go as often as possible

I cannot recommend this place enough! My husband and I got breakfast here on Sunday. The staff were very nice and friendly but the food was out of this world. I got the Benedict and it was so flavorful. The sausage with it was very spicy, but very tasty. I stole some sweet bread from my husband and it was the perfect way to get a break from the heat. Ambiance was okay, it's nothing too fancy, but you go for the food and not the decor. They are cash only so make sure you bring cash! An ATM is next door though.

Different blended kitchen I was confused,, Jamaican, Haitian, West Indian, American cuisine cute inside ,, cash only establishment and the server added her own gratuity which is not ok it was only 5 of us we paid it and left extra everyone was satisfied with the meals although grits, eggs, sausage & toast should never be $15 and when you ask for water there isn't a choice only bottled water they charge $2 for meanwhile at the local grocery its 24 for less than $5 smh ‍ ,,,, try for yourself and leave a review,,, no complaints on taste of food which came hot

Surf & Turf Benedict, Jerk Chicken & Belgium Waffles, Portuguese Sweet Bread French Toast (added fruit)

Ore A Love Story has been on my brunch restaurant list for a long time. Today, I finally got the chance to check it out with two friends. We ordered the Surf & Turf Benedict, Jerk Chicken & Belgium Waffles, and Portuguese Sweet Bread French Toast (added fruit). The Surf & Turf Benedict was my favorite. The meat was seasoned well and not too dry. Overall the flavors meshed really well together. I expected the Jerk Chicken & Belgium Waffles to be the best out of the three due to their popularity on Yelp but it was actually our least favorite. The chicken was pretty flavorless but had great crispiness. The waffles were decent. The Sweet Bread French Toast was pretty good, but nothing too special. Food wise, I'd rate them around a 3.5 but their customer service was good which brought me up to a four star rating. If you're in the area, check them out. I think that their menu is pretty unique and interesting. However, their food was not mind blowing in my opinion.

What an impressive restaurant! My best friend raves about this place so we checked it out. The restaurant has a number of Caribbean dishes. My sister and I had the lambi and grits while my friend had the shrimp and grits. No complaints! I asked for pepper and hot sauce on the side. Once I began eating, I completely forgot to add pepper or hot sauce because the dish was so good without it! The staff is also extremely pleasant which only enhances the experience. I cant wait to go again.

Ok I can say the food at Ore is very good. We decided to get brunch at Ore after church and was able to get seating right away. I ordered the shrimp and grits ($17), my cousin ordered the french toast plus a side of strawberries ($16), we both asked for their Rum punch ($8 each), One "child size" chocolate chip pancake ($9), a side of strawberries ($4), a side of bacon ($5) and a child size juice cup ($4). While ordering I did explain to the waitress of my toddler being extremely picky and making sure her pancake was child size, the waitress assured me it would be however the pancake was massive (I typically wouldn't care about something like this however after explaining how she likes her pancake, having to now plead and beg for my toddler to eat the damn pancake and now feeding her myself, this all could have been avoidable had the pancake came out how she wanted). Because my toddler is somewhat of a divaaaaa she no longer wanted her strawberries since her pancake wasn't made to her standards (‍). My meal (shrimp and grits) only needed a little bit if salt and pepper but was overall good. My cousin loved her french toast. I was so full from my meal that I barely finished my rum punch however it was a refreshing drink. When we received the bill we noticed that they already added their own gratuity (after tax) to the bill, which we thought was strange. We believe customers should determine what percentage of gratuity needs to be added based on service especially when its a small table (it was only 2.5 of us eating).

If I could give ZERO stars I would‼ These reviews are definitely from people that know them or are not used to actual Haitian food. I am not sure how this place is still open. Between the presentation, and then the rude Caucasian woman (owner or "chef") - I'm not sure where to start. 1. I got the Haitian Fried Rice- it tasted days-old. It was supposed to be djon djon (mushroom rice) -LOOK AT MY PICS DO U SEE DJON DJON? The rice had a a large-overcooked egg over it and 4 over cooked pieces of goat on top. Oh, for "color" they added "pikliz" which was not pikliz. It was purple cabbage soaked in vinegar- no spice whatsoever. I was extremely shocked and disappointed but I attempted to try it. The last thing I wanted to do was have a bad experience. The taste turned my stomach. The food did not taste fresh. I decided to ask for a "Jamaican patty" - it tasted like the frozen ones I get from Market Basket; no authenticity there. 2. My other sisters ordered meals too. Grits were supposed to be made with "creole" sauce- but it tasted like a very watery marinara sauce... she was very unhappy with the unclear advertisement. She asked for this to be taken back. The Caucasian woman who we believe was the owner was combative. After asking for it to be taken back, we did our best not to share how horrible it was. Simply said this isn't what we thought it would be. She responded that they " need to keep doors open" and there are no refunds. NO one had asked for that, but that was her focus. She refused to take our meals off the table and walked away. Like really? The other meal had a lobster in it but same issue. My sister ate the tail. She said this was okay but overcooked. We are disappointed. The onus of service and quality is on the owner and chef. This place is horrible. The kicker is: the receipt was written in crayon. The meal price was not as advertised on menu. My $21 dollar meal came out to 28?! Like all I can say was, this was a joke. Y'all couldn't get away with this in Boston, but Stoughton .... yeah serve this to people that don't know what Haitian food is or good food at that. Paid over 100 for meals that were horrible and we only ate the patties which were also overpriced. Go here if you want to play with your hunger, time and MONEY. Ore a love story is Orrrrr a hunger story gone wrong Your Ambiance was okay WAITER Alexandra VERY PROFESSIONAL ! Oh and they do not take CARD

Jerk Chicken and Waffles: An interesting brunch take on the traditional dish. Presentation was nice. I prefer my boneless chicken for this dish but was pleasantly surprised with the flavors in the chicken. Waffles were cooked well. Overall, solid brunch restaurant. Worth a try!

Wow. Stopped here for brunch - amazing service, delicious food, smells and feels warm from the minute you walk in the door. We got two jerk specials (BBQ jerk chicken - crispy perfection - and jerk goat with Haitian fried rice...need more of this in my life). Kiddos got salmon burger (yum! And comes with both bacon and home fries at brunch) and the Portuguese sweet bread French toast (huge but all of it was gone including one bite pilfered by me). The mocktail special was a hit too!

I will review this again with the hopes that service and speed gets better. It shouldn't take 1 hour to get an omelette. While service was friendly, it was lacking in follow through. I got an apology from on of the owners who was also waiting tables but the lack of follow through continued. Tables with more patrons who arrived after me got served before me. The guava mimosa was missing the guava flavor. The Petion Ville omelette with smoked herring, though tasty needs more smoked herring flavor. The Portuguese sweet bread was irresistibly yummy and the plantain was on point. This place can be a good Caribbean restaurant but needs to work on service and timing. I am not looking for fast food but tasty food in a timely fashion.

Oxtail - daily special. Over Haitian rice. He didn't leave even a grain of rice in the dish :)

Really cute place- wouldn't know it was there though unless you looked it up!! Great food and good menu. Waitress was super nice. No reservations, but only had to wait maybe 15 minutes for a table around lunchtime.

I've always enjoyed church even if I don't go anymore. There was only one person working when we were there and he was trying to balance take out orders with having a dining room. It was rough. The dining room was cute. The green tableware was cute. The dining room needed to be wiped down. They really needed one more person there if they were going to have the dining room open. The person serving and doing everything was very very nice. The food was good, though we waited quite some time for it. I got a basic eggs and toast and my husband got a chicken puff with spicy coleslaw which was tasty. The menu looked good but many of the things on it weren't available. The juice in particular. There are some menu items that we would love to try here some time - the goat in particular. And may come back to do that - but we will not come hungry just in case they are regularly that understaffed. Other particulars - the restaurant is in downtown Stoughton. There is plenty of public and street parking in Stoughton, but you may not get to park right in front of the restaurant. Within walking distance to the Stoughton commuter rail (which only runs on weekdays)

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner offering dine-in, takeout, and third party delivery. There is table seating and the order counter in the same room, but this place doesn't feel like being at a sports restaurant. I decided to order takeout from KPA recently and placed an online order for a Spaghetti with Hot Dog ($10 plus tax) and a Spaghetti Poulet ($12 plus tax) My order was ready for pickup in about 35 minutes. The portions of food packed in square Styrofoam containers were both good sizes. The Spaghetti with Hot Dog had a mix of sauteed al dente thin spaghetti noodles tossed with grilled hot dog pieces, oil, red & yellow peppers, served with hard boiled egg and spicy ketchup for dipping. The Spaghetti Poulet had a mix of al dente cooked thin spaghetti noodles, oil, red & yellow peppers and a separate container of chicken poulet mix with hard boiled egg & spicy ketchup on the side. The Spaghetti with Hot Dog was pretty good. However, the Spaghetti Poulet with the shredded chicken mixture had a pungent odor of canned "cat food" which had pieces of grizzle in the mix. This poulet had a very salty flavor and I could not add anymore to the spaghetti. I definitely should've ordered the BBQ ribs & fries instead of the Poulet dish.
