No. 4 - The House Special (Pancakes on separate plate)
    Mark T.

A solid breakfast place - nothing even remotely remarkable, but nothing bad either. A good non-pretentious option for meeting with friends, maintaining a family tradition, or when you're too lazy to cook for yourself. I'm going to level with you - I was actually hoping to go elsewhere (In Easton), but underestimated the breakfast Valentine's crowd. I was hungry, and this place was [relatively] nearby, and had solid reviews. I ordered the No. 4 - The House Special and a coffee. Pancakes, toast, home fries, two eggs, bacon and sausage. I will say that having pancakes AND sausage is always appreciated (and quite rare). Otherwise, other than being a filling meal, there was nothing to write home about. I mean... there is something to write on Yelp about, but there's always something to Yelp about. Same thing with the coffee - solid, but nothing to go out of my way for. Something of note: I prefer my bacon and home fries to be a little more crisp, though I wouldn't call them underdone. This is more preference than anything else. My server, Martha, was very kind and took good care of me. Finally, with the COVID situation - when it gets busy, the operation becomes a little disjointed. There is one person seemingly acting as host, cashier, and take-our coordinator. Who's next in line, and for what? For instance, I went up to pay, and was charged without the option of leaving a tip (until I asked). I realize these are unusual times, and businesses are doing their best to adapt - so no points deducted there.

#2 - the eggs, bacon and sausage

Friendly staff and affordable meals with great portion sizes. No frills dining. Quick service. We had a sausage gravy over home fries and eggs and a #2 combo plate with fluffy pancakes, two eggs, bacon and sausage.

Quick friendly service, the omlette and home fries were perfectly seasoned. I liked that they packaged the toast separately so it didn't get soggy!

I love this place, customer service is always great. This place is a regular visit whenever I'm in town visiting. The food is seasoned just right, hot and fresh.

The pancakes are made perfect and the home fries tasted yummy and crispy. Overkill on the butter with the toast . Great breakfast with my daughters

Very friendly and quick service. Their fried food is good but never have the whole clams. The place is clean and prices reasonable.

And so suddenly I was driving the dark, mostly abandoned streets of Brockton around 8:30 on a Sunday night, wondering if I could find something to eat. I was almost ready to give up on my search, which was seemingly fruitless, when I saw the sign for Cape Cod Cafe up ahead, and also saw its proud sign for "The Original Bar Pizza," and that seemed like a very powerful beckoning to enter. Very authentic industrial age New England vibes, I was fortunate to be "double-teamed" by two excellent waitresses, who nodded knowingly when I admitted that this was my very first time at the establishment. I was immediately encouraged to try the Greek salad, and (of course) a bar pizza. The Greek salad was very good, and although allegedly a small salad, after I had finished eating it, I had little room for the bar pie, which was roasted red peppers, onions and linguica. It arrived with awesome caramelization around the edges, and I managed to finish inly one small slice before packing up the remainder. All very pleasant and delicious, but I decided that I would have to pass final judgment on the following day (today). Phenomenal bar pizza--quite possibly better than my favorites at the formidable Lynwood and Town Spa! Not cheap (with a Sam Adams draft, tax and tip it was over $40) but very worth it, as the leftovers were a full additional meal today. As for the pizza, the waitresses and I all agreed that the pizza there is like the best of Chicago pizza (caramelization and very fresh ingredients) without all of the dough and senseless calories, married with an A+ Boston South Shore bar pie. So I now realize that although I had never before heard of Cape Cod Cafe, yet another gaping hole in my education has been properly filled!

It appears clean, it has ample seating and a nice bar, and the staff was friendly on both of my visits to the establishment. However, the pizza wasn't as good as I was hoping for. It wasn't "bad" by any means, but it was in line with what I would consider very average pizza. On top of that, their pizza menu has a fair variety of odd combos, but lacks some of the classic pizzas I feel many people favor. While the dining experience was good, I would probably refer clientele to another restaurant if you're on the hunt for mind blowing pizza.

Everything was cooked perfectly and I had zero complaints. What really stood out though was their Wednesday half-price pasta special. They offered options like chicken parm, spaghetti and meatballs, sausage and ziti, and chicken broccoli Alfredo. I went with the chicken broccoli Alfredo and for $8 it was an absolute steal. The portion was massive and the Alfredo sauce was delicious....creamy, flavorful, and clearly not one of those bland jarred sauces (hard no for us). I'm picky about Alfredo and this completely delivered. I've gotten three meals out of it already, but it could easily feed two adults depending on portions. It's definitely a heavier pasta dish, so I can't imagine finishing it all in one sitting. This is absolutely going into my Wednesday dinner rotation. Really impressed overall.
