The staff is super friendly and willing to chat even if busy. We had a party melt (really good) and burger (better than average). They have a nice selection of beers and wine for being a small place up in the mountains. Overall, we really enjoyed it. If it had been a bit cooler we really would have enjoyed sitting on the patio around the fire pit. A neighboring table ordered the pizzas which they said were really fresh and good. read more

I've consistently been to this restaurant over the years and it's the most comforting place to cozy up after a day or weekend on the mountains. I'm not sure if they still serve the stuffed soft pretzel, but that and their soup were my favorite dishes. A perfect little treat after skiing or hiking. Go and relax read more

The service was terrible, our waiter was drinking with the bar patrons instead of getting our check. I could have walked out and it would have taken him 20 minutes to figure it out. Friendly enough guy, but the moxy when he added a 20% tip for himself was outrageous. The food is good, but not what it was since it changed ownership and certainly not worth the price. Mid week afternoon stop in for a beer and a burger and felt like I stepped in to the pages of Steinbeck's Cannery Row of the Snowy's. Burger was perfect, draft beer was a touch flat, but if your drink here. It's for the effect, not flavor. Simple service and the obvious every day characters on hand keep ambience lively. read more

Love, love, love this place. I've been coming up to Centennial since I was a kid. Now we're taking our kid up here and she's been taught to ski by the nicest instructors. Our go-to after skiing spot is the Bear Den. The bartenders and wait staff are the best! They are so nice and friendly and remember who you are. We went a few days ago post Christmas and our waitress greeted us and said, 'first things first, pick a present from under the tree' to our daughter! So great! They brought our daughter's Mac n' cheese out right away while we were enjoying our drinks (heavy pours and hefty glasses of wine). We love the pizza and haven't gone wrong with the apps. Definitely recommend 5 out of 5 stars. read more

We are here for the first time today and really enjoyed it. We ordered the smoked trout appetizer and it was delicious. We also had the BLT and Ruben and both were delicious. The service is first rate the place was packed and two guys serving worked like clockwork rarely seen. We will be back. We also bout a couple of tee shirts. read more

Really enjoy the ability to eat outside, either upstairs in the balcony overlooking the Centennial Valley or downstairs amongst the quaking sirens and pines. Very peaceful but welcoming. The Bear Bottom was a highlight of our recent ski vacation in Centennial. The staff accommodated our large multi-generational group with excellent service and a welcoming attitude. We dined or drank there three nights in a row, and the teens and young adults loved the pool table for entertainment. The food was good (pizza excellent) and the hospitality was superb. The ambiance is rustic but incredibly warm and charming. We will make a point to come again in the future. read more

What a great little place at a tiny crossroads in Wyoming. This place has a great outdoor dining area with old trees and plenty of shade for that summer el fresco evening. The foods not too bad either. So if you're traveling from nowhere to somewhere and your going through Centennial stop by for a meal. read more

We came for breakfast. We went in the front cafe, we did not see the lunch/dinner area in the back. The cafe was squeaky clean and in excellent shape. The young woman working the counter/waiting tables and cleaning was energetic, personable and attentive. Thank you Paige for making our morning! The breakfast was cooked to order and an excellent price. The farmers omelet was large and had the perfect amount of fillings and the breakfast burrito (hold the beans and the hash browns by request) was 4.5 stars according to my daughter. Service is slow and sodas are canned. Otherwise, amazing place. The gluten free pizza is the best I've ever had. Their salsa and guacamole are delicious and full of flavor. My kids love their pizza, it's their favorite. Whenever hiking or skiing, we will definitely stop by. It's a great little place. Darren the server was awesome! He was so friendly and clearly was working his tail off for a busy night. He answered all the questions we had about the menu and anticipated any questions we might have about vegetarian options which I highly appreciated. The humus sandwich was super filling. My sister said the greenie pizza had a unique combination of fresh ingredients. My mom said there was a nice ratio of meat to sour kraut. My dad commented it was the best chicken fried steak he has ever had and huge portions!! Also tons of options for food for that type of restaurant!! Definitely a place to stop in town read more

The BLT is delicious. It comes on a hearty bread, the bacon is crispy and flavorful and the veggies fresh. The pizza has a nice crispy crust and the sauce is tasty and the right consistency. The burgers are cooked and seasoned well on buns that dont fall apart. Service is fast and friendly. read more

Coming down the Snowie Range you will pass through Centennial. Next stop Laramie. But stop in this quaint little town and take a break here at The Bear Bottom. You will be welcomed with open arms. Very nice staff. The ambiance is log carbin like. Fireplace always going. Awesome rooftop deck. And yes some kind of money earning games here. Cold brew and full bar. Lunch & dinner menus. We had pizza (one gluten free) and a big salad. All happy with our choices. They have more then bar food, steaks, sandwiches and specials like prime rib and shrimp alfredo. There is live music and they have a outside venue that is kick-ass. Wyoming football and all sports on several TVs. This is Wyo so plenty parking. Open 7 days a week from 11 to last call. Some of Centennial business are only seasonal. Not here. No cowboy hats needed. read more

Best pizza in Centennial, and one of the best pizzas I've ever had. And I know pizza. We ordered the Krumholz which has a little bit of everything. First of all, we ordered a medium and they brought us a large (first bonus!). The crust was the right combination of soft and toasty, and very delicious. Good quality mozzarela and fresh ingredients for toppings. The second bonus was the bar tender Daryl, he knows how to make a martini! And so friendly and professional. The third bonus was the local beer. Surprisingly good. If you are in Centennial don't miss this gem. read more

If you're in the Laramie area and want a hole-in-the-wall, this is it!! Full bar, live music, great food (I'll come back to this), and staff who treat you like your part of the neighborhood. The Green Chili Burger is absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The patty melt was very yummy as well-traditional but not super greasy or over cooked. The Bloody Mary wasn't as spicy as we are used to but nothing here is spicy compared to Texas food so that was as expected. The only part of our meal that could use some sprucing up was the tots. Experienced the BBB & G yesterday. The atmosphere was quaint with natural wood tables and bar, a pool table, and many guests enjoying themselves. I would rate it higher but the $20 burger and tater tots just weren't up to the price charged. My family ordered several other meals all just as pricey and not, in our opinions, worth the fee. But in Centennial there are not a lot of choices to eat, being nestled in the Wyoming mountains, so if you are looking for something to eat after an amazing hike, you could do much worse...just bring your pocketbook, you will need it. A side note, their salads are HUGE! I will come back when I'm in the area to try their breakfast which is served until 11:00 in a different part of the building to see if we can't bring that star count a bit higher. read more

The owners of this place appear to despise their customers and people in general. Horrible attitudes and non-existent customer service. When we complained that our food was not only bad, but actually spoiled, not only did the owner not apologize or try to make it right, he arrogantly insisted that there couldn't possibly be anything wrong with the food. This restaurant and bar, when known as the Beartree, had been a much-loved place for years. The new owners appear determined to strip it of all the character it once had and run it into the ground, all while giving the finger to the locals who have tried to support them. read more

I have been eating here since it opened with a different name. Last year the owners changed and they changed the name. The food stayed the same and it was great until we arrived at our summer residence this year. We were very disappointed in how they handled the takeout service. Due to COVID we decided not to eat in so we ordered a pizza to go. The waiters were masked as directed by the State of Wyoming and the customers at the bar appeared to be spaced out correctly, however, we had to be within a foot of an unmasked customer in order to get our food and pay the bill. Kind of defeats the purpose of takeout! I wrote them an email asking them to make other arrangements and they never even bothered to answer. I guess these new owners don't care about what's going on in our country with COVID. I get it if some people don't want to mask up and be safe, but especially in a small community like Centennial, WY, I would think the businesses would provide a safe experience for those of us who do. They've lost my business. read more
