Sammy came out first…read morething in the morning for an estimate on a large dead pine right against the corner of our house (plus two other tall pines and some trimming). His crew was already in the neighborhood and showed up just a few hours later. They safely took down all three trees (including a full stump grind on the big one near the house), removed a giant heavy branch hanging toward our roof from the utility tree, and trimmed two others. Everything was done professionally with great care around the house, power lines, and landscaping. They clearly know what they're doing and worked efficiently -- the whole job only took a couple of hours. The price was very fair for the amount of work and the risks involved. Highly recommend Master Tree Services for any tree work. Reliable, fast, and trustworthy.

Sammy also informed us to let our town know which tree would be cut down to obtain the proper permit and approval. They also provided their updated insurance on file with our town. Everything went smoothly and on the day they were scheduled, they confirmed prior to the date as to what time they were starting. Sammy is very responsive via text and they did an excellent job pruning our trees and taking down the large oak tree including grinding the stump. Definitely would recommend them to others for this service.

There is no access with machinery, so the tree needs to be climbed in order to do the work. For over three years I tried to get these people next door to allow me to hire someone to do the job, stating that I would not only pay for everything but would also pay to have trimming on their side to even out the tree. They refused, no reason ever given. About a month ago, at midnight, there was a huge crash and I discovered that one of those limbs ( there are four of them) had broken off, hit my roof, landed on my generator and then onto the walkway at the side of the house. I was lucky I was not out there at the time, since I had just taken out the recyclables for collection in the morning and had been right there a half hour before. My village said if I could get a certified arborist to state the tree was dangerous they could put "pressure" on the neighbors to allow me to get someone to cut the limbs. I called Hefferin, they sent a guy who agreed the limbs were dangerous and should be cut and it was agreed they would send that to me in writing along with a quote for the most of the job. I then got an email with a quote of $1600 to remove "dead branches" from my "oak tree". I emailed back that it was not an oak, and these were not dead branches, and I expected something in writing about the danger of these limbs. The email I got back was that they could not send me that letter till I agreed in writing to what they had sent me. She apologized for the error about the type of tree, and said yes, she knew it was a maple tree!!!!! Obviously I was not signing any agreement to have dead branches cut off either a maple or an oak, I know that it has to cost way more than $1600.00 to do what I need done here, and this appears as nothing more than a scam to me. I was told I would get an appraisal of the situation and a price to take care of the problem, and they are playing games. Can you imagine committing in writing to pay for something which does not have to be done and not having the real problem even addressed, let along getting done???? I now have to find someone else who is legitimate. These people are dishonest at the very least.

They showed up in the middle of our cafe service and we told them no one informed us of this work, that our patio was full and we didnt have enough space to move all the guests indoors [which Isaiah confirmed as he came into the cafe], I told them we could shut down the patio around 3pm (about an hour later) as this would affect our guests. He said he would speak with him manager and I asked him to come get me after they spoke. Instead of having a conversation and finding a resolution, they fired up the chainsaws and started hacking away at branches directly over our guests- even though they clearly knew it was a risk. Our guests had to run out of the way as they have zero concerns for the guests under the tree Even the staff of Dom's said to us "I told them not to do it" when they saw us recording. I also asked one of the workers actively cutting down limbs to grab a manager now, but they didn't care what I had to say and completely ignored us. We called their manager, who was so wildly rude and said 'well we put a no parking sign up and its common sense if you know how gravity works'. Why would a no parking sign down the block from me have anything to do with guests sitting on our patio?! So incredibly rude and aggressive- and truly do not care about safety!

They put up "Do Not Park" signs last week to stop residents from parking under the trees they would be cutting (great!); however, they didn't come until the following week because of "rain" (it rained 1 out of the 3 days they were supposed to work). They decided to trim the trees without warning, with cars parked on the side of the street. To my surprise, my windshield was cracked because a branch they cut fell on it. I immediately called their office, to let them know and made a plan to have their windshield guy to come and replace it three days later. I took off work the day he was supposed to come so that I can be there to help, and after calling the super multiple times to see when this was happening - I was told their were "scheduling conflicts". (I had a family emergency I had to get to as well and their super told me "we all have family emergencies"). I called the office to get their insurance information so that I can file a claim through my insurance so I didn't have to deal with them flaking on me again, and the woman answering the phones/head of payroll rudely started accusing me of making a false claim and that I was "lucky" they were replacing my windshield, and that she (payroll czar) looked at the pictures I sent and there's no reason I couldn't drive two and a half hours upstate (while pregnant) to a family emergency (it's illegal to drive with a crack larger than 12 inches in NY). These people are rude, flakey, and don't care about the damage they cause. DO NOT WORK WITH THEM!!!!!!
