Original creampuff Chocolate eclair Strawberry eclair The Original creampuff with the vanilla filling is the must try here. Plenty of eclair varieties and filling flavor options. Got the 6 pack box and the handle broke off on the way home. Luckily the creampuffs didn't fall out.

Beard Papa's is found within Tokyo Central in the food court. What is unique about Beard Papa's is that you get to choose puffs from a variety of options and choose between 4 flavors of custard filling. The service provided to us was very great with fast and attentive employees making sure they waste no time. The two employees working at the time were very friendly and helped us choose what to get. Eventually, we settled on the Ube puff with the vanilla custard filling. It was good, the outer ube shell was very delicious along with the vanilla custard. For the ambiance, as it's located within Tokyo Central, it shares its locations with many other restaurants packed together. The food court itself offers seats but it's nothing fancy or special. Good experience here at Beard Papa's. I would recommend it as it was very good.

Stumbled upon this spot while shopping in Little Tokyo. They have a wide selection of pastries and we wanted to try them all. Love that you select your puff and then select the cream you prefer inside. Flavors taste authentic and the puff dough was nice and flaky yet held its form well. Service was great. The young woman working was professional and kind. She gave great recommendations based on her preferences and what other customers enjoy. Ultimately we selected the honey puff with chocolate cream and the cinnamon puff with strawberry cream. Can't wait to go back and try other flavor combos!

Beard Papa makes delicious cream puffs. They have an assortment of shells and fillings which you can create delicious treats. These cream puffs stay firm, days after they're filled and still delicious. These make terrific sweet treats, gifts or a simple dessert. Next time you're thinking of buying a cake or pie, get a box of these instead, you'll thank me. The store front counter is right in front if you, its always clean and the staff are very polite. This is inside a Japanese market, you can shop for groceries and other food stalls too. There is plenty of parking in the lot.

The original puff that I tried was nice! It tasted a bit different compared to a couple of years ago but overall it tasted fine. But then I tried the chocolate cream puffs and they tasted moldy..? I checked the puff for any exterior signs of mold but I couldn't find any thankfully, but it still tasted like mold. I even quadrupled checked to be sure. Hm, I don't know maybe it's just the refrigerator taste but oh well. A bit disappointed as now I have to dump the rest

Have you ever looked at dessert and just could help but smile? Every time I have a cream puff from Beard Papa's that is my reaction. The giant choux pastry shells are dipped in chocolate and topped with a variety of toppings then filled fresh with a vanilla, chocolate, or green tea custard. This beard papa's is found in the little food court inside Tokyo Central and you can't miss it. Please try it if you're ever in the area.

Tried the ube flavored puff with green tea filling and was great! The staff there was very kind and gave excellent customer service and the ambiance is fast casual since it's inside the Glendale Galleria Mall!

I haven't had Beard Papa's in years! What a great these were. So many of my childhood memories include these. The CHOCOLATE WITH CHOCOLATE CREAM inside was the best! We even had them in the fridge for a while but I couldn't wait until they were room temp. They were super rich and wonderfully light. The classic CREAM PUFF was delicious of course. Perfectly plump and cream filled! These are great. The HONEY BUTTER were decent. I couldn't taste a lot of a different flavor. Of course the cream puff itself was still great. I'd probably choose the first two for the future.

I really wanted to try everything again since I haven't been to a Beard Papas in maybe 7 years, but I was super full and also was getting a drink after lol. Went with one my my favorite flavors instead of 5 like I wanted. Green tea with green tea filling. The outside green tea flavor was very sweet and thick on the cream puff. Bit into the inside to taste the cream, and it was not sweet like the outside. It paired perfectly and cut the sweetness of the outside. The bottom of the cream puff was really crunchy and hard. Flakes everywhere and made a mess. I wish it was softer, so 4.5/5 I want a different flavor now. Yum! Would recommend

    Matcha eclaire

Was waiting for someone, meanwhile was craving some sweets and decided to get beard papas. I got the chocolate and matcha eclaires. They were $4 each which I thought was a little overpriced, considering that many bakery goods can be under $3 each. I had to order at least 2 because minimum purchase of $5 to accept card. Quality wise, I'd say it's really good! The chocolate and matcha coatings are definitely not fake, they put a big layer so you can enjoy the flavors. The inner custard filling was perfect too, not too sweet or overwhelmingly creamy. Nice treat to have!

For me, regular shaved ice usually lacks enough syrup or the ice is too hard. I'm such a wuss, I know, but I hate feeling like I overpaid for a cup of ice. It has been brutally hot and today seemed like a great day to have some shaved ice. The cafe is located in a Korean plaza on Western and 154th. Smoking Tiger coffee is also in the same plaza. The cafe is on the smaller side but there's lots of seating and you can take your orders to go if you want. It's cashless and you take your tray and trash to the counter once you're done. The menu has everything from fruity flavors to Asian flavors like hojicha and injeolmi to Cinnamon Toast crunch. You can get an individual size or larger size to share. The interior is minimalist with vintage-looking posters of the business. They have WiFi and complimentary water. We ordered matcha and mango flavored bingsoo. Both had a tall pile of ice with ample toppings and more syrup layered inside the ice which I think is an important very often overlooked step. I can't wait to return to try out more flavors!

Bingsoo was refreshing but in the corn one, we didn't love the texture from the chocolate chips and in our mango, the chunks were very big and we just wished it was a bit more bite sized. Overall a great spot and we like it! Lots of seating which make for a great date or spot with friends.

The place has this classic ice cream shop feel with pastel aesthetics mixed into a modern clean vibe which mixes practicality with style. I LOVE the glass panel decoration and the front decor which are simple details yet convenient decoration. The options have an interesting range in diversity, from ice cream and drinks. Their combinations are so unique, blending trendy flavors like matcha, honey, and many more delicious flavors. My favorite flavor I have tried so far, was the Dalgona Affogato--which I picked because I was thinking of the squid games. The dessert was so smooth but the honey was slightly overbearing. If that is not to your preference, they have other options that can certainly fit to your taste buds. The ice cream is perfectly sweet and an excellent treat in this summer weather. The honey crisps placed on top of the ice were so little, which I wished they had a bit more since it tasted so good with the smooth ice cream. Another thing I hoped was for the affogato to be a bit bigger portion. But then again, I am unsure about the sizings of affogato since this is my first time trying it. Thank you Honeymee Gardena for the experiance, hoping to try more in the future. (Update: Making this edit because I accidentally spelled the cafe name wrong in my previous review which I apologize for. The typo was made because when I was writing the review, I was also very busy so I wrote everything in a hurry and wasn't able to make changes. Their omakase has three price tiers, and only the $90 per person option features A5 wagyu. If it fits your budget, I highly recommend this set. While it's a $90 per person teppanyaki counter experience, be prepared: the 98% of meat requires you to grill the meat yourself, so mastering the heat is crucial! I also tried their grapefruit choju--made with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice--and their matcha beer from Kyoto. I highly recommend both; they're absolutely delicious.

We came to Wagyu Butcher on a Friday night early dinner for our anniversary after a recommendation…read morefrom friends and it did not disappoint. If you're gonna splurge, go all out, am I right? But seriously, they offer 3 levels of omakase and the lowest tier does not seem worth it IMO. While you do get Wagyu, it's all lesser cuts. The middle level is the minimum to make the exp worth it, but as I said above, if you're going to splurge, get the full A5 experience! You won't regret it! Stepping into the restaurant, there is a small vestibule of sorts that separate the entrance from the actual dining area creating a sense of separation. Diners all sit along a huge c-shaped counter where there are gas burners for every 2 seats. Servers lean over the counter to take orders and provide advice on how to best cook your meat. You start off with a mix of small bites equating to the appetizer course. All levels come w a Wagyu sashimi which had just the right amount of savory and a great way to foreshadow dishes to come. At the start, the chef reviews the meats for that evening's meal. He was very cheerful but TBH, I couldn't only understand every other word he said but the message was clear -- this A5 meat is from Japan and high quality. Before every course, servers would reiterate the cut and its accompanying sauce as well as give grilling instructions. While I was nervous about having to cook these small $$$$ cuts on my own, it turned out ok. I just erred on the shorter side and threw pieces back on the grill if too chewy. All the A5 cuts were buttery and delicious. Our omakase came A5 cuts of filet, chuck flap, striploin and sukiyaki. All the meats were already pre seasoned to some degree and meant to be eaten with specific sauces but I liked to sample each piece as is before trying it with the sauces. The filet and chuck flap I thought were better on their own. The striploin was my favorite though as it was a thick strip that god a good, Cheung char on its sides but middle was still rather rare and you could bite through so easily. Second was the sukiyaki which was drenched in a whipped butter and so flavorful. The non-Wagyu items were fillers. The short rib was decent and flavorful but the skirt and sirloin were so sinewy and chewy even after longer grill times. They were lowlights and why I don't think the middle or lower omakase levels are worth it. The top level also came with a shrimp ajillo and bone marrow dish which was basically giant, raw, butterflies shrimp cooked in melted marrow. The shrimp took on a beefy undertone while the marrow had a shrimpy flavor. You had a small slice of a grilled baguette to eat and I used it with w marrow. It was so decadent and rich and unexpected. Definitely a stand out dish. Finally the meal ends with a butcher curry (which was delicious, I could eat a giant bowl of that on its own). The portion that comes w the omakase is not big but it's mean to fill you up if you're not yet full. Then came "chef's dessert" which was a light and fluffy but of a strawberry cake with raspberry sauce. Though hefty on the wallet, the meal was fantastic and we had a great time. All that said, I wish the side sauces had been better communicated at the start of the meal (salt, garlic paste, pepper powder and negishio(?)) and and to call the experience interactive is kind of generous since interactions are just them explaining the foods and is not any "more interactive" than interacting with wait staff other restaurant. But that's such a minor complaint as we could have asked about the side items or engaged with the staff more. Highly recommended but come prepared to spend. Else save up so you can spend.
