My go-'tos are hot fudge sundaes and Death by Chocolate. Today, I decided to get the New York Cheesecake. Not bad. But not as good as Death by Chocolate. I recommend using their app so that you accumulate points for future discounts and also to receive coupon discounts. Service is always friendly and prompt. No issues with parking.
$4 Freezes, yes please! I've frequented Bruster's Real Ice Cream a few times for their ice cream but it was the first time recently that I tried their freezes. The freeze consist of 4 scoops of their sherbet, sorbet or Italian ice along with a whole bottle of Sprite. Once in a while, Brusters will have special nights when they do $4 freezes and this was exactly how i got to try my first freeze. The freezes are quite the deal and treat for the summer. They are so refreshing and tasty. I chose to get a peach freeze and enjoyed it a lot. My friend got a black raspberry freeze and this was also quite tasty. For four scoops of a sherbet, a freeze is definitely a treat and an indulgence! I think I may have found my new favorite treat at Brusters.
I scream, you scream, we all...well you know. My son offered to pick up Bruster's on his way back from cat sitting so I was all in. There was a new flavor called pineapple upside down cake that had caught my eye so I handed him my credit card and told him to hook up the household. It's nice that you get credit toward future purchase discounts which are appreciated. I ordered a large that comes with 4 scoops. Besides the new item, I added cherry vanilla, rocky road, and butter pecan. Guess I was feeling a bit nutty. The pineapple was a little too cakey for me but I'm glad I tried it. Variety is the spice of life right? Hadn't had butter pecan in ages so that was a walk down memory lane. A Bruster's day is always a good day. Love my ice cream.
We've been passing this location for years now and decided finally to pop by. It was rainy, so I wasn't expecting a crowd. I was right, but that still may be a bit unusual in SoCal, where we all scream for ice cream all year 'round. Large parking lot was mostly empty when we arrived and only filled in slightly for other businesses by the time we left, around 3:15pm. It took a minute for us to get noticed by the one person working, who we called out to a few times. She took our orders and got to work filling them. While we waited, I did a bit of inter webs research on why Bruster's resembled the same set up as Handel's. Turned out Bruce (the man behind Bruster's) worked for Handel's and had some of his own ideas about changes to the Handel's way of operating that, let's just say, Handel's wasn't open to trying. So Bruce went his own way, building on the same concept of ice cream made fresh daily in-house, unique flavors and a walk-up window. Interesting. Also interesting was the small portion in my waffle bowl. It was meant to be Medium, 2 flavors, but it looked more like a small, 2 flavors. In addition, the 2 scoops were offset with one flavor hanging over the edge, rather than in the bowl. Wonky. Lots of room in the bowl, why was it hard to aim the scoops into it? No one was being rushed, no line forming. This is a treat. Something special. Take a beat for the presentation. Especially if you're not giving full scoops. Make that bowl look like you filled it as best you can with the small amount you're dishing out. I haven't had this experience at other Brewster's, so maybe it's just how this location is run, or maybe just the person on this day. Don't think I'll return to find out. Cheers! "CC"

What can you say about ice cream? I got a double scoop of Strawberry ice cream on a waffle cone, and I do have to say it was sweet, creamy, and delicious, what real ice cream tastes like. Today, Thursday, they have BYOB Banana for your Banana Split. And get half price off.if you have a craving for delicious ice cream this is the place.
My son was the one that noticed this ice cream place as we drove by. We decided to give it a try after dinner. Great ice cream flavors and selections. Quick services and friendly staff. There's no inside seating. I love that they have waffle bowl.
After we finished dinner at King's Hawaiian,we decided to try Bruster's Real ice cream on the corner of Crenshaw Blvd and Sepulveda Blvd this ice cream very popular with the locals. When arrived there's was a long line but it when fast then we decided to order my wife order the Mixed Berry Cheesecake and I order a scoop of Ube ice cream. The staff member got our order then our order came out quick we were thinking to sit down on the patio but it was so windy we couldn't sit we have take to our car where we eat our delicious cones. My wife enjoy her Mixed Berry cheesecake ice cream she say it was very creamy and full flavor from the Berry and crust of cheesecake that my wife enjoy. I love ube it have a incredible flavors to it that I really enjoy buy I really like the deep purple color it look like Grimace from McDonald's it just the color. The staff are very friendly and gets your order right.

If you visit on Thursdays, you can BYOB (Bring Your Own Banana) to get half off. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to make it for that discount, but the treat was still good! You get three scoops: vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate topped with strawberry jam and another fruit (which I wasn't too sure of; I think it was pineapple?). It is then finally topped with whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. I haven't had a banana split in FOREVER (maybe 8 years), so this was quite the treat! Each flavor, except chocolate, had the right amount of sweetness. I almost finished the entire bowl! The cashier was friendly, so I got generally good vibes from the place. She also made my banana split nicely! I would definitely come again to try their other unique flavors. Apparently they have ube!
Bruster's have so many icecream choices! It's always hard to chose which one to get. Every flavor is rich and creamy! They even offer a free pup cup with a purchase. They put a cute milkbone on top! Both human and pup approved! Their cones also come with a drip stopper. I appreciate those small details! Thank you Bruster's
i come to bruster's alot during the summer but i was nearby and wanted to check out their limited time flavors i did a small cup of mixed berry cheesecake and triple chocolate with oreo. the small comes with two scoops so you can either get both scoops of same flavor or two flavors both delicious! but kinda loved the mixed berry cheesecake! i love bruster's bc they also offer complimentary doggie sundaes! but your dog has to be with you (they need to see the furbaby) service is always great! everyone is super nice and friendly and i get my ice cream pretty quickly seating outdoors only. its been pretty chilly so everyone usually just orders and takes it to go or eat in the car lol parking: it gets pretty busy and spots are smaller . but you can park at adjacent lots

Customer service was great. They were very helpful helping me decide between two flavors. I ended up going to with two scoops of the dark cherry ice cream. This place is always busy. Process seem reasonable in today's economy. If im on the area and want ice cream, I would come back here. read more

I do wish I could give a better rating for Brusters, but I do have to be honest in saying the last few times I've been, the ice cream was just okay, not just that but for whatever reason the customer service is always borderline bad... :( last I went I got one scoop of banana cream pie and it was pretty good but not the best I've ever had, I still see myself stopping by if I'm in the area or someone suggests it and giving another chance, hopefully I can come back and have a more positive review! :) read more
Came to this place last night for some dessert. Came across this place while searching for a ice cream place beside cold stone and Baskin Robin. This place seem like a change in LA, Sso I decided to give this place a try. Their flavor selection is pretty big and some unique flavor. It's thuraday and it was 1/2 off banana split when you bring your own banana. I didn't bring any banana however the customer in front of us gave us a banana and I was pretty happy. Brought my own banana for their promotion that runs on Thursdays: bring your own banana for a half-priced banana split sundae. You can choose either the original or customize using your own selections. Their original combines your banana, sliced, and one scoop each of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry ice cream, along with chocolate syrup, strawberry sauce, pineapples in syrup, whipped cream, and a maraschino cherry for the toppings. It's good ice cream with a nice creamy texture, but the toppings had an artificial taste so I'd like to try them again with other flavors but without the toppings. read more
Blueberry Cobbler, my new favorite!! Something about that pop from the blueberry had me wondering where have you been, better yet why haven't I ordered you sooner!!! My son ordered the chocolate shake and was very happy, but I think he wished he had ordered some brownie in the shake This location is hot they are always packed so don't let the lines fool you, they work well transitioning customers at the window while handing out yummy orders. Something to he said about freshly made ice cream, on a 100 degree day!! Oh and the Banana Splits are all that, I watched a lady walk away with a work of art!! Stopped by on 3/31/25. We have been here many times before and I can't believe that I haven't reviewed so here it is. My kids wanted ice cream after lunch. The staff were nice and friendly and provided good service. My kids enjoyed their ice cream. They thought the prices were less than Coldstone and bigger portions. I am surprised I have not reviewed this popular local ice cream spot. I've stopped by the walk up window and ordered pints to take home from raspberry swirl and vanilla to banana chocolate chip. When I have visited Bruster's, I always want to purchase their banana cream pie but, they don't seem to have it. Brusters has good ice cream but, it's not my favorite. Customer service is usually courteous and friendly. They offer you samples if you're unsure what to get which I have been on the last couple of visits. I'm sure I'll be back. 3 stars! read more
I had a bad feeling as I was watching the vanilla ice cream being scooped. It looked like soft serve rather than frozen ice cream. A bad sign was when the containers were dripping melted ice cream on the counter, in the parking lot on the way to the car, the car, and the cooler I put the ice cream in. When I got home ice cream dripped in the freezer as I transferred my half gallons to the freezer. Orange sherbet was soft and very sweet with orange flavoring. Better than what I had at Vons but not as good a flavor as Handel's. Vanilla had an inconsistent texture. Mostly creamy with a small of ice crystals due to the ice cream having melted and refreezing in my freezer. Nice vanilla flavor which reminds me of Fosselmans. Blue pop Italian ice was cold and icy. Loved the sweet and tart flavor which is raspberry based. Green tea ice cream was rich and creamy. Green tea flavor reminded me of the green tea ice at Benihana. Cherry vanilla was rich and creamy with sweet vanilla ice cream and cherry pieces which gave this ice cream burst of sweet cherry flavor. I enjoyed some of my Bruster's ice cream but the vanilla was not as good as it could be. I was very disappointed in how Bruster's was not able to keep some of their ice cream frozen solid. You are not suppose to let your ice cream melt and then freeze it again. It also made a mess in my car, cooler, and freezer. It's unlikely I will return as I can get better quality ice cream from places that sell their ice cream in pre-packs that come frozen solid. read more

While driving around, I found Brusters ice cream. I saw the sign that said nondairy flavors while I was sitting at the light so I made a U-turn and got some nondairy strawberry ice goodness. They have Sundaes, Banana splits, ice cream cakes, pints, quarts and half gallon sizes . Also waffle cones, sugar cones. They have Oreo/cookies and cream, mint chocolate chip, chocolate and strawberry that's Non-Dairy made with Oat milk. They have a bunch of milk based ice cream also. They also make freezes(icees) with sherbet and sorbet Italian ice OMGOSH, I have to return. #vegangoodness read more
Very similar setup as Hansel's, with lots of yummy flavors to choose from. They had the holiday flavors so I tried their ginger man and peppermint with Oreo cookies. They were both really good! Ginger bread was a bit too sweet for me but I'm glad I tried it! Service was nice and fast! Would go back to try other flavors on their menu! read more

They do! And no, they don't have a min I think. I've ordered just one small ice cream w/ no extra charges on a cc.
In regards to this place, is the seating only outdoors and in addition, is ordering just walked up to a window or is there an indoor lobby?
Seating is only outdoors at their patio tables and you place your order at the window. No indoor area at all here.
