Decided to pop in after dinner at The Obstinate Daughter. It's a cute spot with a good variety of ice cream, as well as some adorable merch for the Obstinate Daughter. Opted for the popular flavor combo of olive oil/dark chocolate. I personally loved it, but others weren't a fan. I like the combo of salty and sweet, so definitely be forewarned if that's not your thing. Service was great, the line moved pretty fast.

We really enjoyed the gelato from Beardcats! We also tried the GIANT rice crispy treats. Yum! Such a fun themed dessert shop. We will definitely be back again!

Yum!! Everything was so fresh and flavorful. I love their fun seasonal options, and you can really tell nothing tastes artificial.m. We also tried one of the baked goods, the pecan bar and OMG, 10/10 (sadly didn't snap a pic).

Cookie Butter and Orange Ginger - both were phenomenal!

We loved this place! Much better than the ice cream place on the other side of the street. Parking is tough, it gets crowded and space inside is tight. But, it is so worth it!!! Got the Cookie Butter and Orange Ginger and both were amazing! Don't bother getting a cup of tea (it was a cold and rainy. Ight when we went). It was too much of a production make it worth the wait.

I am quite particular when it comes to gelato and I have to say... this is some of the best I've had outside of Italy! I was pretty shocked to find gelato of this quality in Charleston, especially in such a touristy area. Lots of fun flavors too! The shop itself is kind of small, with a few small tables. It wouldn't be the worst idea to take your gelato to go and eat it on a walk/along the beach. Wish I had a spot like this near me!

Didn't know about this place that was right below OD! We wanted something sweet after dinner and it was conveniently nearby. Cute place with shop that sold some swag. Hubby got the Salted Olive Oil gelato since it was GF and I got the coffee. Flavors were on point, but the texture was just too soft. For me I feel like gelato is a cross between hard and soft serve. A nice firmer texture but still creamy and soft. This was almost leaning in a soft melted stage, but since I had it in a cone it was a bit difficult to eat. The guy did warn me about the cone breaking because he gave me a cup. The waffle cone itself was delicious, but thin. My cone completely fell apart as I got halfway and gelato was melting quickly. But again, as for taste it was good.

The gelato is excellent! The service was friendly and pleasant. The most amazing Gelato was the Olive Oil and Sea salt. Must try! Family tried the hazelnut and strawberry- also good.

This gelato place is embedded under a restaurant. While the restaurant was (and usually is) packed, getting gelato was reasonably fast. In addition to a stracchiatella flavor and some hazelnut, I added a dark chocolate sorbetto. I find that chocolate sorbet is one of the real winners of the vegan dessert market; you taste the chocolate more than you would with dairy ice cream and the version here was strong but sweet enough to be edible. All of it was good quality stuff. And being walkable to the beach adds extra value.

This is your ice cream destination when in the Charleston area, but find them out from the city in Sullivan's Island which is around a 15 minute drive from downtown. Parking is free off street and can be extremely challenging during peak Summer and weekends. They are below the Obstinate Daughter. The shop is very small, but a few places to sit. The main area to enjoy is on their patio if not seating for Obstinate Daughter. The service was immediate friendly. Enjoy all the samples you like and if getting a waffle cone they are made fresh. They also have merchandise and even a locally made Bloody Mary mix. I was with my daughter who got a chocolate cone and I got a vanilla bean egg in a cup. Both of us were very satisfied. The young lady with the store being slow chatted us up. Don't miss this one.

Fun little ice cream spot on Sullivan's Island. They have a nice selection of freezer cookie sandwiches and take & bake cookies. They offer gelato and sorbet. Allergens are clearly marked - which is appreciated.

Really tasty gelato. Fast and friendly service. The red velvet and hazelnut flavors where my favorites! It was super hot out but there were plenty of spots to sit outside in the shade and enjoy some ice cream. Beware : gelato melts super fast in the Carolina heat so u getter way fast!

Delicious ice cream! Small little store under the Obstinate Daughter. We stopped in Beardcat's after lunch there and it was the perfect sweet treat after a yummy lunch. They let you taste test flavors and all of them are so delicious, it was very difficult to decide. The pistachio was very good. All the workers were very friendly.

It's located behind the main drag on the left as if you are heading to the old train depot. They have parking there and it's less than a minute walk to the market. They have a variety of locally grown (John's Island & Wadmalaw ) vegetables, Fruit & Nuts. Plus today I met some local artists, Elizabeth for one, working on a variety of platforms painting beach themed work. Amazing. She has some beautiful work on display. I saw shrimp for sale and of course coffee. I also noticed they have bathrooms in a building at the back of the market. Some nice plants for sale here also. I really loved this Market & wish all the vendors well. Just sad that I discovered it late in their season.

The location can't get much better than that. There's plenty of car and golf cart parking. The market lasts from 2pm until 7pm, so there's no mad rush of people creating a shortage of places to park. Although there are limited numbers of venders, they're each unique. There's no endless numbers of craft tents, but a select few. Love that they have a sweetgrass basket vender. The plant vender offers all organically grown products. There's also a food truck and live music. I was able to buy all the ingredients for a fresh mozzarella salad. Fresh basil, olive oil, mozzarella and tomatoes.
