It has been two and a half days and whatever Jay and the crew of Beastin Beauties did to me, I'm still sore (in the best way). Yes, I did a hilly walk later that day, and ran yesterday, but the foundational soreness is 100% due to whatever magical land I stepped into Saturday morning for the special St Baddie's Day event where I had so much fun I didn't care I didn't know what the hell I was doing and didn't notice I was getting my ass worked. I run alot, I ran the LA marathon a couple weeks ago, and have been wanting to activate my glutes and hamstrings more and this class did it. The best part is it's super accessible. It you want to get worked hard you can, if you need a more chill workout, that's awesome too. I def stepped out of my comfort zone but I almost forgot I was in SoCal bc the group was so non-pretentious and welcoming. I'm a little in my happy feels about it. I chickened out and ghosted at the very end started getting paranoid my horrific dance moves would end up on social media and needed to leave anyway, but wow what an incredible environment. It's a little too far for me to go regularly, but I hope to visit from time to time and hope to bring a friend. Jay, your energy is electric. They're always updating. They offer online classes, in studio, cool merch, and many types of classes such as jam fit, body and booty circuit work outs, yoga, and sound baths! I dropped in for Galentines Day event and it was so nice to meet the members of the studio. They were all so sweet and friendly. Their previous location burned down :( This new studio is beautiful and clean and has cute pink decor and is newly renovated. There are hand-weights to supplement your workout starting from 2lbs+ and cleaned after every class. There are mini lockers, a bathroom and a beauty bar available. The front desk has fitness merch for sale as well as some drinks and pre-workout snacks all at good prices. Classes are fun and high energy. The drop in classes are only 8 bucks and even less when you purchase a package or membership. They have a virtual classes available too! Note: they're not on Classpass as of Jan 2022 as the owner doesn't get paid if you purchase from there. Ive been struggling in finding a place to work out. For 13 years I was just kept renewing my LA fitness membership and rarely attending my favorite step class. After I had three kids, going to LA fitness is such a challenge with kids club that charges you $5 per kid, with young adult/ teen staff certifified in kids care (they advertised, but they look unexperienced), and they will call you when the kids being fussy/ difficult, finding Beastin Beauties is such a relief. In Beastin Beauties Ive been attending Jamfit, and two Zumba classes and I love the instructors' energy. At first I was kind of skeptical because I never took Zumba before, and felt embarrased. But once I got there, everyone so welcoming and down to earth. They didn't give you personalized attention too much that made you felt uncomfortable, but they did notice and welcoming you. I felt the vibe of women empowering other women. I felt comfortable coming without make up and made a funny Zumba moves. And the best of it all, I could bring my kids and let them play in the back. I dont have to worry paying Kids club/ leaving them with babysitter/ strangers. Yes it is true what other yelpers mentioned; not pretty neighborhood, difficult parking, and restroom with no toilet paper and no paper towel, but couldn't satisfy everyone. These aspects used to be big issues for me, but with the benefits outweighs the negatives, I dont mind it at all. I won't post pictures due to privacy issues. Remove your class from classpass if you're not taking classpass and don't put canceled classes on the app? Waste of my time and gas

One of my all time favorite places to work up a good sweat! I found their Zumba classes through Classpass and have brought friends with me for a great workout sesh together. If you pay per class it's only $4 each but I think they have packages that make each class even cheaper. I love their high energy instructors and how they turn off the lights/use disco balls to make it seem more like a party than actually working out. I am always excited for zumba here and feel accomplished after! Their new location is still in El Monte but is considerably smaller than their previous studio. I do prefer the previous because the current studio's mirrors no longer stretch out from one side to the other, making it difficult to see if you're doing the movements correctly if you're not right in the middle. Nonetheless, their Zumba classes are super fun with great music and had me sore the next day so come check them out! read more

I usually take the 7:10pm Jam Fit class with Angelique Armada because it works with my schedule. I take class here through Classpass. Format: cardio hip hop dance, box, burpee to the latest hip hop and latin-pop, reggaeton. The music is bomb! This 1 hour class burns calories and keeps me winded. Only thing I would suggest is change ahead of time because the bathroom is really small. The music will be loud so prepared to get pumped. Pros: Great value for a cardio workout class. I heard its $3 regular price. Through classpass its $6. Compare it to most workout classes that are $10-$20 each, it's a steal. Fun dance moves. Many attendees...party. Close to my house. Negatives: the mats and dumb bells are a little dirty. But hey, it's a great value for the price, so I can't complain. Just wash your hands afterwards. Parking: it's tight because there are usually 15 to 20 ppl attending class, but many businesses are closing at 6:30p or 7:00pm, so I don't have a problem. Angelique is motivational because she told us about how she lost her baby weight and she wants us all to feel the same way. She uses tough love and is great at demonstrating and checking up on us. read more

Super fun place to get your sweat out! I took the advantage of 7 day free trial and tried their Zumba class. Class was super fun and instructor knows what they are doing. The only down side is that sometimes instructor just started without instructions and a lot of students just looked very lost. One of my best friends was already coming to this studio for a while and encouraged me to try it out. They have a 7 day trial week for FREEEEE. Walked in to the studio a few minutes before class started to set up my account. Got my account set up and was able to view their class schedule on Mind Body App that I already had Instructors have been great and I totally enjoy the energy and motivation that the group gives each other. I like the environment knowing that the group is really here to sweat their bottoms off. I usually try different fitness studios to try to find something I like but it can be hard when you're a little self conscious about people who have been practicing/training for much longer than you have. Every body is an athlete. I know you're wondering why I gave it a 3 star review especially since I'm saying how great the instructors and classes are. I'm knocking stars off because I don't find the facility to be very clean. They have foam mats that you can use for class but they've definitely been loved and used. There isn't anything to clean it with so it's kind of gross when you're done using it at the end of class and roll it up to put it back for another person to use. So I would suggest bringing your own. Also had to use the restroom, there were no seat covers, which is fine because I make my own from toilet paper. There wasn't any paper towels to dry my hands with. There was also a sink on the outside of the restroom that did not have paper towels. Might not seem like a big deal to some, but it means a lot to me. Especially because it was more than once. Restrooms are one of the harder things to keep up with, says a lot as to how well they keep the rest of their facility clean... Parking: Shared lot with other stores. I would attend the last class of the day so the other businesses would be closed by then. I also parked in the one handicapped spot they had anyway so it was not a problem at all. Tip: Definitely be careful out here. While waiting for the 8pm class, there were a lot of homeless people roaming nearby. I also had my window rolled halfway and a homeless woman asked for some money. Then on my second visit there was an argument outside and someone pulled out a knife on him....yikes! read more

Sitting in the parking lot at 5:47am on a Tuesday because Beastin Beauties is worth it. I have a gym membership at UFC which is not too far from this place. Ironically it is located next to a booming donut shop BUT you won't see any of the girls going into the shop. I came here for Jay and her Jamfit class. Beastin Beauties is a wonderful place to work out. The people are very nice and the work outs are effective as well. However, I've noticed that the Zumba classes that Lizeth teaches begin either barely on time or after, yet end earlier, due to the next class after, which is understandable, but I think she should begin her classes earlier then. Don't get me wrong though, she's awesome though, both as an instructor and person. This isn't the reason why I'm giving this place two stars. The facility, including the bathroom, should be more clean. In addition, there are NEVER any paper towels, soap, or seat covers for the bathroom. This falls on the owner, since this isn't the instructors' responsibility. In fact, they're trying to keep the place as clean as they can. Overall, it's a wonderful place to work out, yet the only negative thing I can say about it is the lack of cleanliness. read more

I have been looking at this studio for a while due to the fact one of my favorite instructors from my pole studio conducts twerk classes here sometimes. My instructor was hosting their twerk or treat event that just passed and I was super excited to go. I went on the mind and body app and signed up for the class. I got SUPER excited when I saw that the class was only $5 because they didn't post the price on the Instagram flyer. About an hour later I get a text from who I'm assuming is the owner or maybe someone who represents them, they never introduced themselves, stating that I signed up for the wrong twerk class and that the amount is really $15. I politely let her know I did not know that and asked for a refund due to me not having that amount in my budget. The person then asked me where I saw the posting for $5 so they could take it down and I let them know I bought it on the app. They then noted that it said "Memorial Day" on my ticket and I let them know that it was maybe attached to the twerk and treat sign up on the mind and body app. I got a rude response of "that's odd, everyone else is buying the twerk one. Ok", insinuating that I tried to buy a ticket at a lower price, when AGAIN the price was never on the instagram posters. I politely sent screen shots of my booking through the app and the $5 pricing they were charging on this app. I never got a response. I am super disappointed at the professionalism shown by their representative. This is the first time I have engaged with a studio that accused their customers of trying to "get over on them". I love my instructor but sadly I don't feel good about the environment this particular studio might have if I were to ever attend a class here. read more

First let me say I love the concept of strong women working out together. I was really excited to check out their Zumba class. I was also happy to see they offer the first 7 classes free. The first time I went the instructor was absolutely amazing. She kept us engaged and maintained a high energy, maximum workout the duration of the class. Now you're probably wondering why I gave them 3 stars. The second time I went (2 days ago) was subpar. The reason for this was mainly the instructor. She was late to class by 15 minutes, she instructed the entire class in sandals, she had moments where she went all out with the moves but most of the time she couldn't hang and took many breaks. While she took her breaks we continued on our own struggling to remember the moves.She didn't hype everyone up or give encouragement...she was mainly there to show the moves and that's all. I may attempt to take the class again in hopes there's a better instructor than the last. read more

Best work out studio in the SGV.. I always struggled working out at gyms or at home solo because I lose motivation quickly. Then work out classes at typical gyms are too packed. I found a gym that offers small group work out classes nearby in El Monte, geared towards women and a community focus. They offer a variety of work out times. They mainly offer Zumba and dance classes but they have a daily toning class. The teachers are welcoming and have high energy. Highly recommend. Parking for evening classes can get packed as they share a lot with other businesses. read more

I checked this place with hopes to get their membership but I didn't have a good impression at all ... the class didn't start on time. the person in charge was all frustrated because their iPad check in system wasn't working so we were all waiting and waiting then when she finally decided to start she used her phone to play the playlist music and she had to stop and start every one song she kept being interrupted by texts or calls so she kept trying to keep the class going but it was just too disorganized for me. Parking is very difficult because is shared with many other stores in the mini mall that they are located. The class being late and interrupted was not fun. They don't have A/C So it was stuffy hot and because ppl are sweating, it's a gym so it was smelly. You need strong air and I didn't like that ppl had their kids in the room waiting, it just not my thing. 2 stars because they seemed really nice! read more
