I knew I wanted thicker, arched ombré eyebrows, so my research began. Typically, I read reviews and view before and after pictures when it comes to cosmetology. I booked with Maggie, owner of Mpressive Faces. Any questions and pictures I presented to her, she was open and honest to. Disposable blades and precautionary measures are taken into keeping a sterile field with the Microblading. The process from maximum numbing to finished brows took about an hour. She did not disappoint as far as covering the old and perfecting my new brows. A one month follow-up is recommended for any fading and/or corrections. My Microblading usually lasts about 12-16 months before needing a new job again. Every client varies, depending on their skin type and the care of the initial Microblading. I came across Permetika Cosmetic and viewed their website. I saw the videos of the news anchor Dominique Sanchez. I have always thought she is beautiful inside and out. Dominique's eyebrows by Connie looked natural so I was sold. I decided to book my appointment in early June. I went to her new beautiful location in Magnolia. Now some people might complain about the drive but I was thinking about flying to LA to get my brows done but instead, I found Connie. I am glad I did. When I met Connie, she was very sweet and professional. She would observe my brows while I was talking with expressions. Brows frame your face and it's important that MY brows fit MY face and not a one size fits all stencil brow (which by the way looks ridiculous). Another important issue was sterilization of equipment and she was very over the top keeping things clean. We both wore masks while she did the procedure. Connie is an artist and the best in Houston. She lied (first excuse) and said I had the appointment time wrong, even though I had email and text message confirmations.
