Can I just say, I LOVE MY BROWS As Houston was shutting down for COVID back in March, I started to do my research. The most important outcome for the look of my eyebrows was to look natural. I came across Permetika Cosmetic and viewed their website. I saw the videos of the news anchor Dominique Sanchez. I have always thought she is beautiful inside and out. Dominique's eyebrows by Connie looked natural so I was sold. I decided to book my appointment in early June. I went to her new beautiful location in Magnolia. Now some people might complain about the drive but I was thinking about flying to LA to get my brows done but instead, I found Connie. I am glad I did. When I met Connie, she was very sweet and professional. She would observe my brows while I was talking with expressions. Brows frame your face and it's important that MY brows fit MY face and not a one size fits all stencil brow (which by the way looks ridiculous). Another important issue was sterilization of equipment and she was very over the top keeping things clean. We both wore masks while she did the procedure. Connie is an artist and the best in Houston. I will not go to anyone else and in fact, I will see her for the touch up in September. By the way, I never write reviews on Google or Yelp because let's face it, I am lazy. However, I think it is important to share my experience because when you are doing your research you need to read people's experiences, especially when you are microblading your brows. I was not happy when I left after she did the work. I had my doubts and she told me that it looked good and she seemed very frustrated and in a rush to get me out of there. I was uncomfortable so of course I said yes fine they look good. But I hated them from the moment I got it from that chair. Today I went in for my final touch up appointment to see if there's anything she could do to make it better, but all she could do was tell me that they're perfect when they are absolutely awful. It takes very little time to get certified in carving somebody's brows and filling them with pigment compared to being a doctor. These doctors know what they're talking about when it comes to a face. She had obviously just broken up with her boyfriend and was not happy as she was cutting on my eyebrows! That was a definite RED flag! I made an appt for a consult in December of 2021 to talk about microblading, this is when she had an office in San Antonio. Since then she got married and moved to Houston. My brows had thinned out as I aged and I am sure from the 90s too as well as they were turning blonde. I also have weird, wired, think brow hair (not thick brows, just the hair follicle itself) During the consult she asked what or if I were on medications and I told her yes, just a high blood pressure med and a cholesterol pill, and a depression/anxiety med. She gave me her recommendations and we were good to go. I made an appt for the treatment in Jan of 2022. She also told me no caffeine for like a week before, I couldn't get the brows wet, no sweating, etc. Which I followed to the T. My brows looked good for like 4 days and then when I went for the touch up, they had totally disappeared. Jess did not have a clue as to why but did my brows again and only charged me $150 for just the price of the fill in. I went back a month later and my brows still disappeared. She seemed to not know why. I had followed all the instructions. Her website clearly states: What is microblading and how does it work? I did message her and she offered to again to it for $150, but here is my thing. This is YOUR business. We had a consult. I came for my appointments. IF you don't know what happened I think the right thing to do is to refund my money. I didn't even ask for all of it because she still used her time. I asked her to refund half of it and she refused. For that, I will never back her again. Maybe she needs to look into the product she used or get more education on it because I find it funny that she does this on all ages, all walks of life, all skin types but I am the only one that it didn't take on and you can't refund even part of my money? I am a single woman on one check and it took a lot to spend that kind of money on myself in one sitting. I paid $600 total and I would like at least half of that back since it did not work and you did not have any explanation as to why.
