Never-ending emails over the course of a week criticizing the toys that they had for the hamster, telling them which food to buy, which bedding to buy, what room to keep him in...yes I am serious. If I could give zero stars I would. They ended up saying forget it and to not worry about it but really, I am upset that they were subjected to this by their adoption counselor (really a person who is fostering the animal) but more than that I feel sad for the animal/animals that could go to a loving home but instead will be stuck in foster care.

( the crab was clearly dead. It had been mostly consumed by something else.) Then my dog did it again! He found another crab. This one I wasn't sure, I think it was dead, it was mostly intact. My dog tried to eat some of that leg on that crab too. I asked my electronic device if dogs can eat crabs on the beach. It said no, because of parasites and shell pieces. I called this vet. They asked me what breed he is and how much he ate. The gal who answered the phone went and asked the vet about it. The vet said, since it wasn't a big Alaska crab, it was just one of the little crabs around here, the dogs should be fine; just watch the dog. I feel reassured. The vet sounded knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. They also sound invested in the health of my dog. Thank you!

Just seconds after Dr. Lebouf delivered the devastating news that my…read moregirl had terminal bone cancer, she launched into a self-righteous lecture about the dangers of grain-free diets. She quoted studies and strongly implied that my feeding choices had caused or contributed to her demise. She even added, "I know it's too late for B, but I know you have another dog and want to protect them." I was too overwhelmed by grief and tears to respond in the moment, but several things went through my mind: * I have no idea why she assumed B was on a grain-free diet. Not even true * This is classic "blame-shifting" but why? * There is no chance shelf stable slop pellets have better outcomes for animals than fresh food diets, I suspected whatever study she referring is going to be about pulse diets, where food slop companies swap out rice for anti-nutrients like chickpeas (terrible for dogs and actually leech nutrients, mostly indigestible). When they asked about her diet, I believe I just said "mostly home made - fresh meat and vegetables." I never said I gave them grain free kibble. I feed my dogs a balanced fresh-food diet (meats, vegetables, and rice in proper ratios, with age- and condition-specific supplements) about 80% of the time. When I can't prepare fresh meals, they get premium kibble (that contains rice), mixed with high-quality wet food. There is zero evidence in the scientific literature comparing a properly balanced fresh diet to commercial kibble. The studies Dr. Lebouf referenced appear to be the familiar ones comparing grain-inclusive kibble to "grain-free" kibble formulas that simply replace grains with pulses and legumes. That is not the same as comparing fresh food to kibble, and it is misleading to present it that way. Earlier this year I brought B in after she suddenly started limping in pain. They diagnosed arthritis and a soft tissue injury, charged $500 for imaging, and sent us home with pain medication. It's hard not to wonder whether the cancer was missed at that visit, considering it was in the exact location. B was a rescue who had endured severe abuse and malnutrition in her early years. She arrived terrified of everyone, trembling and submissive. For some reason she chose to trust me. Within a year she had visibly grown, gained confidence, and become the sweetest, most loving dog. She wasn't supposed to be mine forever, but we became inseparable. Losing her has been heartbreaking. I waited a long time before writing this review. I didn't want it to come purely from grief or anger. I understand that cancer can be difficult to catch, and I wouldn't be writing this if the only issue had been a missed diagnosis. I'm writing because of the condescending, sanctimonious way Dr. Lebouf spoke to me during this moment. She quoted science in a misleading way - I believe - because she either didn't actually read it or doesn't understand what it says. To be clear - there are NO STUDIES comparing grain free fresh food diets to kibble with grains. But this is how it was framed as if gospel. It was so inappropriate, but also inaccurate. I can only assume this is being preached repeatedly to other pet parents at the clinic. Many other staff members at the clinic are genuinely kind and great with animals.

Vet might have spent 5 minutes giving the dogs "annual physical". Looked at teeth, ears.....the end. No heart check, no dexterity checks, never mentioned fatty tumors. Almost $100 for the "annual physical". Glad it's only once a year.

The "customer service" rep I spoke to was condescending, disrespectful & made no attempt to salvage our long standing relationship with this clinic. When I asked for valid reasons why the estimate had gone up, I was told "this is our policy" & that the original estimate was "probably wrong". When I asked for a call back from someone more knowledgeable who could explain/justify each increase on the higher estimate, that request was not honored. I was honestly shocked & hugely disappointed by this interaction as we have always had positive experiences with this clinic, but I have since been told that they are very expensive compared to other vets in the area & it truly seemed that they were just trying to make more money from my pets injury. Unfortunately, this negative experience coupled with no attempt to make this right has erased anything positive I could say. If cost or ethics are of no concern to you, then I highly recommend them, but if fair pricing & respectful customer service for you & your pet family members matter then you should go elsewhere. They've lost a loyal client.

Despite the fact that there is no "cancellation" or "rescheduling" policy on Dr. Maloney's website for "The Pets Mobile Vet", and most vets allow up to 24hrs, I allotted 48hrs to notify her of my need to "postpone" my cats checkups, hoping for whatever slot might be available at a later date. Therefore, I contacted Dr Maloney on Monday 6/8/20 to reschedule an appointment that was coming up on Wednesday (48hrs) 6/10/20, due to another conflicting obligation. She responded with a less than unprofessional, uncivil text. Down right self-centered and rude. See attached: Dr.Maloney in grey and mine are in green. Hence, I will take my animals and money elsewhere.... and you should consider doing the same or also encounter Dr. Maloney's unmerited and misdirected anger problem.
