The service is great and you're going to love the leftovers here. It's obviously the best pizza parlor in Colorado. I've tried about a dozen places and don't have a desire to go back to any except this one and "the original" near Longmont. Our scenic drive to Evergreen certainly set the mood for a cozy place to eat. The staff was courteous and we sat near the fire place which had good views in every direction. Our server Marissa was more than a delight. She went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our order and was very patient as we built our own calzone. Beau Jo's was our go for ordering take out during the stay at home order- we love the Chips pie and Margarita pie. Calzones are good too. Unfortunately their staff has stopped wearing masks and gloves during the safer at home phase. My family is immunocompromised and cant afford to risk it. I really want to like this place. We live nearby and have been here monthly over the last year. It's easy to take the kids and have a lunch or dinner out. While we order off the menu, it isn't too pricey - around $40 with tip for two adults and two toddlers, with leftovers to-go. As a diner with celiac disease, I have some major concerns. The last two times we've eaten here I've been glutened and I can't seem to get through to the staff or management about how serious and dangerous this is. The chain sponsors the Celiac Association, has been trained on cross-contamination, does substantial marketing and still can't get their act together. The service has been pleasant, well intended but borderline mediocre; waitresses and waiters forgetting refills, plates, silverware, and even a simple check in. They seem understaffed at lunch and dinner. When you order off the menu at lunch the servers give you the third degree and ignore you, leaving for countless smoke breaks and eventually dropping the check. At dinner things are a bit more organized but it takes a long time for your order - we always order our kids' meals first to avoid meltdowns. So, I don't know what the solution is but I will likely be taking our business elsewhere, and letting other celiacs know that this is NOT a safe restaurant. read more

Wow this was not the BeauJo's like the ones in Arvada and Idaho Springs. Came in at lunch time and it was dead and that worried us. Server had zero personality and was very dry. Ordered two salads and garlic bread to come at once. Took forever and it was hard to get refills. Asked once when she was at the bar and got a look like wow. Food was not very good. My Caesar salad had no real green in it and was the leftover lettuce with big chunks of the hard part of the lettuce. My wife got a large side salad and it had no flavor and same kind of lettuce. The garlic bread was good but no garlic flavor. This was definitely not worth what we paid and I think we now know why it was not busy. Will not be returning but will stay with the other locations instead. read more

Mountain Pies. Over the top pizza excess that is soooo good! I only order two things here, a mountain pie, or one of their calzones. (No ricotta cheese please). I can count on it to be perfect because every time I've had it, every time it's been perfect. This is worth the scenic drive up the canyon to get here, or you can take I-70 to Evergreen Parkway and drive in that way. Oh and the service has always been top notch too, even when it was snowing like mad crazy or you place a carry out order 30 minutes before the doors close. And sitting outside in the summer with the creek running by you....is wonderful. 5 stars of consistent perfection. Worth hopping off I-70 and driving to get to it. Now that I live in Las Vegas I can only get this rarely, but in March 2012, it was just as good as ever. read more

We arrived at the Evergreen Beau-Jo's after a long day of snowboarding, ready to scarf down an entire table of pizza. We'd seen a couple of ads around for the place and thought it was worth a try. We pulled up and couldn't figure right away if we had discovered a Colorado reincarnation of CiCI's Pizza or a local hidden gem. We were quickly seated in the half-full place near the back. Lot's of tourists and local familes mixed about. I just wanted to get something in my stomach so I just got us started wtih chips and salsa. Wow. The first disappointment was the chips and salsa. No question that someone had opened a bag of Tostito's chips and Kroger brand salsa. I get it. This is a pizza place, not Tex Mex, but this was embarrassing. Willing to put that aside, out custom pizza came out next. Topped with all kinds of meats and tomatoes, it looked amazing. I wasn't blown away but it wasn't too bad. Toppings were great but the crust was kind of bland. My favorite part of pizza is the crust so bad crust is always a frown on my face. I really wanted to love you Beau-Jo's. Your massive menu and endless options for custom pizzas sounded like a cool idea. Your honey-wheat crust sounded oh so awesome but you just had to let me down. Beau Jo's does customer service the way is should be done! Not only does their pizza taste great, and has a unique thick crust that they serve with honey on the side (OMG, YUM!), and they can accommodate a wide variety of eating habits (vegetarian, gluten free, whole-grain obsessed, etc), but they really know how to treat their customers right. A couple of friends and I came to Beau Jo's in Evergreen a couple of weekends ago for lunch, hoping to load up on carbs before an afternoon hike. We ordered a couple of pizzas, and one of them came out wrong. Not only did they take back the wrong pizza and whip up a brand-spankin' new one, but they took care of the ENTIRE bill. They went above and beyond the call of duty (granted...the "wrong" pizza was ordered for a gluten-free vegetarian and came out covered in sausage) by doing all of that for us, and their amazing service will not soon be forgotten. Nice work, Beau Jo's! Bottom line: food is delish, lots of options, and fab customer service. 5 stars in my book! read more

Telling people to wait 40 min when you have a dozen empty tables in the main dining room/patio, is just wrong and bad business. I stopped here on a busy Saturday afternoon. I had been to two other restaurant/bars close by that were too busy for me to be served. So, I found a seat at Beau Jo's bar and had a beer. Decided to have a couple slices from the buffet ($8.) It was "OK", nothing special. What really got my attention was what was going on with the hostess turning customers away while the place was half empty. Then a couple sat next to me at the bar, and we began chatting about how they were told it would be 40 min to be seated on the patio. Well, we could see at least 4-5 empty tables on the patio, as well as 8-10 empty tables in main dining area. So, the couple eventually realized how silly it was and just went and sat out on patio anyway, without being seated by anyone. The manager got upset and went and told them to move. (?) The bartender told me they (Beau Jo's) had let too many staff go home, so they were short staffed and that's why no one could be seated in several sections. WTF? I was blown away at how many people they kept turning away at the door. People would even ask, "40 min? You have empty tables all over the place..." etc. It's been awhile since I've seen customers treated so rudely. I have family coming into town soon, and I thought the Beau Jo's patio might be nice, but I wouldn't risk this nonsense. I'll take 'em to The Little Bear instead. read more

Beau Jo's offers outstanding paleo pizza options! They far exceeded my expectations with their surprisingly delicious gluten free / dairy free pizza, quick service despite being very busy, and their super friendly waiter. I ordered the veggie pizza on their gluten free crust with Follow Your Heart non-dairy mozzarella style cheese and wow! I was very impressed. That is the first time I've had a paleo pizza that tasted absolutely delicious. It was deceptively similar in taste and texture to a traditional pizza. Very yummy! Drizzling honey on the crust was a fun and creative way to enjoy the crust as a dessert. I love that they offer such a unique option, one I've never seen at any other restaurant. It was tasty! I highly recommend Beau Jo's to everyone, from families with kids to individuals of all ages looking for pizza, salad, sandwiches, and appetizers. read more

Thursday evening, mild weather, we get seated on the patio. Nice, but music blaring much louder than on the inside. Order coffee with cream: coffee comes, no cream. Coffee half cold by the time cream arrives. No spoon. Coffee stirred with fork (it does work, but you have to lick it clean first, so you don't have salad dressing in your coffee:-). Spoon comes after dinner is eaten: thanks, I think, I got it licked... Dinner: the salad bar was fairly well stocked and fresh. No complaints here. I would have that again. The Motherlode Skillet however, well, let's just say, apart from better late than never, it sure looked larger on the picture, or perhaps it was exactly the size of the photograph - a tiny bit tiny to say the least. I always thought, a Motherlode was, well... a motherlode... Taste was o.k. We supplemented the pepperoni with some from the salad bar. Within about 15 minutes of finally getting served after what seemed like an eternity (oh, and this was not a particularly busy evening), the patio umbrellas around us were being closed. No one asked, how we liked the meal until the bill was presented (That also took forever). No refills were offered on coffee or drinks. Ah, yes, I did get some extra lemon on the side with my water. Yep, I highly recommend this place, if you are looking for more lemon with your water! Cheers! read more

I consider this place an old reliable. The pizzas are good, the service is dependable and friendly, and the patio looks out on a beautiful section of Bear Creek. About the only drawback is the lack of parking some nights, but usually there's space on the street if not the adjacent private lot. read more

I had a friend from Denver suggest going to Evergreen for some Colorado Pizza. We enjoyed every minute of it. We had a classic pepperoni pizza. I was a little suspicious of putting honey on the crust but Oh My! It is a must. The Spinach Artichoke dip was one of the best. Outstanding. Ate here (party of 3) for lunch on a Friday afternoon. We are from out of town and we saw this place on the food network and made a note to try this place if we came to Denver. I'm glad I remembered. The service was great, the food was fantastic and the prices were reasonable. We had an appetizer, a 3lb mountain Sausage combo pizza, 3 drinks and 1 glass of wine for around $40. Not too bad for an incredibly large pizza crammed with fresh toppings.
