Wow! I had been waiting to try this place for a while and it lives up to the hype! The parking was easy-plenty of space. We were seated right away and had such a kind waiter. The outside is gorgeous with the river in the back. What a paradise. The pizza mountain crust was out of this world! I love that you can create your own and personally I think mine should be on the menu it was so good. We got a pesto chicken pizza with artichoke hearts and red peppers with a four cheese blend and honey on the crust. Their pesto was so fresh and delicious!

This is another area to eat in off the main dining area

The first time I came here I was impressed with place. It's comfortable, with a fireplace and there is a balcony you can dine on that overlooks the river. Their mountain pizza is somewhat of a novelty. I like bready pizza and their mountain pizza has a puffy bread crust. After the first time I longed to return for more. So the other day when we were driving through the mountains to enjoy the Fall colors we stopped again at this place. We ordered the mountain pizza with sausage, green peppers, mushrooms, onions. I didn't pay close enough attention to notice it also came with pepperoni. Colorado people LOVE to put pepperoni on pizza! I don't care for it because a few slices and it's instant heartburn for me. So when the pizza came I was surprised to see pepperoni everywhere on the pizza. I picked off what I could and ate the rest. Next time I have to pay more attention. We noticed they also had cobblers for dessert. We ordered the apple and cherry to go. When we got home we opened the cobblers and they were generously covered with fruit. We realized then that Beau Jo's is kind of a one-trick pony. They seem to use their mountain pizza dough arrangement with their desserts also. So eating the cobblers were like having a cherry and apple mountain pizza. It seemed... disappointing because we were thinking "pastry" not "pizza" and we didn't finish either one. In general, they do what they do very well. If you like what they do, you'll love their consistency. If not, you'll tire quickly of it. I think at this point I'm going to take a rest from Beau Jo's because the novelty has worn off.

I would say overall we had a very good experience at the Bojo's the other night definitely felt a little bad for the staff because it was clear they were getting getting it handed to them a little bit and they were short staffed but our server Alex was wonderful even though she was brand new. She said it was her fourth day and she really did a good job. The food took a long time. The kitchen was pretty backed up and our appetizer ended up arriving with our food, which wasn't an awesome, but it happens.

A staple in Colorado. It was good, but I wasn't wowed by any means. I think it just depends on your palette / pizza style preference. I love thick crust but I wasn't in love with this one. We also got the garlic cheese bread. The mariners sauce was my favorite. Nice and fresh. And warm!

First time to finally eat here after hearing people talk for more than a year about the virtues of Colorado mountain pizza. Having now tried it, I gotta say, I'm really not sure what all the hype is about. The two of us split a medium cheese mountain pizza. If I'm grading on service alone, I'd give them a five. Both at ordering and at pickup, the women at the counter were very helpful. We were planning to eat outside, so the woman helping me loaded me up...plates, napkins, Parmesan, pepper, honey, and bags for all of that as well as our two diet Pepsis. Also, the pizza was piping hot and ready to go when I walked in at the 20-minute mark. As far as the pizza itself, it looked really good. Also, had it not been such a hyped up pizza, I might've graded it higher. However, we were really expecting it to be better than it was. Perhaps eating it hot isn't recommended. The first bite of each slice pulled all the cheese off the entire piece. Unless you held it on with one hand while biting the end, the rest of your slice was just sauce. Speaking of sauce, kind of tasteless. And that world famous twisty crust? Not that great. Way too much. A little dry, and not much flavor. And yes, the crust is better if you dip it in honey, but then again, isn't just about everything better dipped in honey? With enough Parmesan and Italian pepper, the pizza is decent. However, with too much crust, there really isn't enough of the regular pizza part of the slice to make it worth it. So in summary, pizza gets a 3, service gets a 5, and it rounds to a 4, which is better than their overall average, so I guess that's a good thing. I'm not going out of my way to get this pizza, but if I happened to be in the mood for a lot of Parmesan, Italian pepper, and honey, maybe I'd get it again.

Wanted some good pizza for my birthday so we decided to get Colorado style pie. Love the pizza here. Haven't been to this particular location in a couple of years and they have remodeled the place. It looks very nice and clean. We got seated right away and had a super nice and friendly server. We ordered a mountain pie with pepperoni, Italian sausage, red hot chicken, green chilis, onion, mushroom, and mozzarella cheese. Excellent pizza! Of course one of our favorite things is the honey for the crust. Awesome experience.

We had a Lil' Italy Colorado Style Mountain Pie. It was delicious. I think it is a novel idea how they make their crust extra thick and then serve the pie with a bottle of honey to drizzle over your crust for dessert! They have outside seating overlooking a little creek. So it was a really nice lunch on the patio!

Amazing place for lunch or dinner if you are in the area! This is one of my favorite places to grab a bite in Colorado. Today I tried their nachos - magnificent! We got half size and it was a lot! Always recommend their stuffed mushrooms. Me and my friend stopped by on Sunday afternoon and we were given a table outside right away, service was great, our server was wonderful. And you should get a table outside - it's a vibe

I've actually been here a handful of times before, but always stuck to the pizza and pasta (which are great). I honestly can't believe I overlooked the sandwiches for this long. I went with the chicken parm sandwich and it was outstanding--crispy, perfectly breaded chicken, rich marinara, and just the right amount of melted cheese on fresh bread that holds everything together without getting soggy. Easily one of the best chicken parms I've had around here. I reluctantly traded half for the sausage and peppers sandwich, and honestly... it was just as good. The sausage had great flavor and snap, the peppers were cooked perfectly, and everything tasted fresh and well-balanced. It's rare you order two different sandwiches and can't decide which one you liked more, but that was the case here. One of the sneaky best deals: you can add a cup of soup for just $2. I tried the rustic sausage and potato soup and it was excellent--hearty, flavorful, and felt homemade in the best way. What stood out beyond the food is how consistent everything felt with what others say: high-quality ingredients, generous portions, and that authentic, no-frills Italian deli vibe. You can tell they care about doing simple things really well.

They were pretty busy at around 5:30 on a Saturday evening and we were lucky enough to snag a table since they also take reservations and some were being held. The service was great, she gave us her recommendations and was very very patient while we all decided what plates to share. They give you some small plain bread knots when you sit down and had no problem, giving us a refill, even a side of marinara sauce for dipping when we asked. We started with the Caprese appetizer, which was fresh and delicious lightly, garnished with the balsamic glaze that sets the flavor off, not too overpowering. We shared three different pastas - the penne rustica, the shrimp and artichoke, and the pesto tortellini. The rustica was definitely the best, it had such a depth of flavor, and the sauce was a perfect rosé of creamy tomato, with the vegetables helping set off the textures and flavors even more. The other two pastas were good, but I wouldn't prioritize ordering them again, the pesto tortellini was so rich and creamy, but lacked any pesto flavor, which was surprising since it was vivid and green, and so visually appealing. The shrimp and artichoke was good, but didn't allow me, I felt like the artichoke needed more seasoning or something to bring it out a little in the sauce and pasta mix. The owner Nancy was such a sweetheart. She was so attentive and came over to us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Next time I'll be trying the Bolognese :)

And on our way back down we came to The Little Bear Saloon. A friend of his was in a band playing there that night. There was a $10 cover, which is fine with me, it all goes to the band/bands. We got there at 7:30 and the band started at 7:30 so there wasn't any seating in the main room, where the band was playing (obviously this is common sense but it was how our schedule worked out). Don't worry, we got a booth in the next room and it was still plenty loud. Our server was great, funny, and made sure we had our needs met. The food: ok, it is not great food. My dining companions had burgers and pizza. I opted for a Greek salad as I had eaten an entire dish of pork belly at the Denver Zoo, I'll write that review separately, and I needed something that was not greasy. The salad, it wasn't a traditional Greek salad but I did definitely appreciate it. Since the rest of the menu is rather limited and mostly pizza and burgers, I didn't know if it would be good. I'm kind of picky about lettuce. It was good though and I ate every bite, and also a slice of my daughter's pizza. The food overall was not very special and I wouldn't recommend making a trip here just for the food. But since we hadn't made a special trip here for the food I'm not taking off any points for that! It's a fun environment; the bands, the maximalist decor, the signed photos from so, so many musicians and bands that have played there over the years. Plus nearly every inch of the wood has been carved with the initials or names or messages from customers. I spent some time looking but only scratched the surface (so to speak) of exploring it all. The women's bathroom was a little bizarre, and according to the guys in my group the men's was even stranger. Everything was clean and functional so that was good. We all had a great time. My daughter bought a sweatshirt. On the train back to Omaha the conductor smiled and said "oh, the Little Bear Saloon? That's in Evergreen, right? Oh, I know that place!" He chuckled. I'm going to bet that there are a lot of people who can chuckle at their memories of the Little Bear Saloon.
