I wish there was more of a selection - specifically rompers and little girl clothing. The sizes seem a bit off, but maybe that's because all items are pre washed a lot from use so they all fit differently. I was wearing sizes anywhere from 0-2.5 and having some fit great and others wouldn't get on one leg! Kind of all over the map (I'm 5'4 and 109 lbs). I took some clothing in and got $54 cash or $65 in store credit. I picked out a couple items and took a gift card for the rest to use later. The girls were very nice and I've done clothing exchanges in Florida (Orlando, specifically) and they were rude and made it an awful experience. I wish I could give a better review to this thrift store because I like to support local small businesses. Unfortunately, the manager gave our group really poor customer service on a day they were offering a discount for writing an online review! She treated her employees terribly in front of us, and refused to honor the promised discount because our order was "too large"! This was my FIRST experience with selling items. I had a brand new pair of rain boots and a lovely brand new set of lingerie with the tags attached. I am a smoker and had just smoked a cigarette before entering. The young lady kept smelling and smelling my items! Then she SHOVED them in my bag and said that they smelled! I returned to work and asked my colleagues for their opinion. THE BOOTS SMELL LIKE RUBBER!! The other item also passed the sniff test. It was the tone and attitude that bothered me the most !! I will happily give my items to charity as I should have originally. read more

My dear sweet Hannah, Remember me!? ...Mrs. Hoooooole ...as you said so rudely to me over and over!?!? I have never been treated so poorly in a store and I am saddened to have shopped in your thrift store. Now, I do know that you called Brooke (the owner) and she told you to NOT HONOR THE STORE 20% DISCOUNT you have posted everywhere because you were having another "sale" which was mostly 15% off. This was even after 2 other employees working said they would (before ringing our items up), honor the 20% on top!! Therefore I do not fully blame you. But, Hannah, ohhhh sweet Hannah, you did not need to be so condescending, you did not need to speak down to the other employees that were working with you (the employees who were treating the customers with kindness and common sense) you did not need to roll your eyes and shake your head at us. You definitely did not need to shout my name out in the store "Mrs. Hoooooooole, Mrs. Hoooooole" over and over in the store in front of other customers. You only knew my name because you looked at my credit card. That is private information that you should not have been shouting out. If I ran this business I would say that you need to be fired immediately. But, I don't run it, and I don't know if you just had a bad day or if you commonly treat people like this. But Hannah I hope that you realize your behavior was not OK. It was not kind. It was not sensible. Even if you could not honor the discount because Brooke would not allow it, you could have treated us with kindness and you could have been apologetic about the situation. Instead you chose to treat us poorly, you spoke rudely, you patronized us and you give this business a bad name. I do hope Brooke reaches out and makes this right because I know ultimately it is up to her to rectify this. Hannah, like you told us " we cannot honor the discount because the amount that you spent is too high" that is on Brooke, not you. Its absurd that "because we spent too much money supporting this business, we lose the discount" I just hope that when you (Hannah) called Brooke and spoke to her in the other room while we were waiting you told her what really went down in the store and not your interpretation of what had happened. I hope that you told her that we were promised BOTH discounts before we made any purchases. I hope you told her that every other employee in the store told us that we would receive the discount. Because if this was my business and I heard the real story I would not have handled it like Brooke did. But again I don't know what Brooke was told. (Hi Brooke!!) The discount owed my family was a mere $60 - not enough... in my opinion, to make a decision that doesn't honor your store policy, your word and show integrity. As I can see, previous reviewer's have had the same experience as my family and I just hope that you can change the signage in your store to reflect your policies or honor the policies that you have posted. This place is amazing!! Doesn't feel (or smell!) like a thrift store, and everything is in excellent shape. I found boots for my daughter, shoes for me, and my very favorite brand of jeans. I've sold and bought with Beau Monde several times, each time being barely satisfactory. I just recently dropped off a bag of clothes (retail price probably was roughly $200-300; I was expecting somewhere around $50 if they took the whole bag... I was selling perfect condition clothes, some of which were brand name). I didn't receive any call or text for two weeks. I went back in with a friend and saw my clothes up on the mannequin and elsewhere in the store. A couple days later I came back in (again, still no text or anything from them) and asked about my bag. The girl who had helped me said that my bag of clothes went too long without being picked up, so they donated the rest to their outlet. I got $25 worth of in store credit for what they ended up taking... but got shorted who knows how much else. The girl helping felt really bad, however I won't be buying/selling anymore to beau monde. She even checked their phone for a text, but wasn't able to find anything... Overall I'm feeling dissatisfied and annoyed. Sucks losing all those clothes, especially when I could've sold them somewhere else that was more professional about business. read more

I am so happy I found this place! I have been to a couple re sale clothing stores, but have yet to find one like this! There clothing is in great condition and they had amazing brands like Paige,free people, true religion,hudson,lucky brand and even citizens! The customer service here was not good. In particular, the employee named Hannah was very rude to our group. We had left a review to get the 20% off that was stated throughout their whole store. After we had checked out, the cashier forgot to give us that discount so she called for Hannah to assist her. Two of the employees stated that they would honor the 20% off discount even though they already had sales that day, since they had postings everywhere about the discount. However, Hannah had stated that they would not honor the 20% off discount since there were other sales going on that day. We stated that there's postings everywhere in the store and that two employees told us we could get the discount. She proceeded to call the owner, Brooke. After their conversation, Hannah explained that they are unable to give us the 20% off because we spent "too much" and offered us a small in store credit instead that did not come near to the discount we should have received. We explained we live 8 hours away and don't have a storefront near us. At the end of the encounter, we took the small in store credit and was given no discount as stated on the signs throughout the whole store and promised us by the other employees. Hannah was very rude as we were walking out saying, "can't wait to see you next time" in a patronizing and sarcastic manner. The other employees working were very helpful. read more

Just had a shady experience selling my clothes there. I asked if the buyer was available to look at the clothes when I dropped them off, as I live a bit away and didn't want to come back. She said no, which was fine. I filled out the slip and they said they would get to the clothes within an hour. I specifically marked and told them "Do NOT Donate", I want the clothes back since they were all expensive and I could sell them on my own. I wait 2 hours with no call, then I go back and ask about the clothes. The clothes were at the bottom of the DONATE bin. I think the buyers literally just take anything that is dropped off and just "donate" it to Beau Monde if you don't look over their shoulder! The girl behind the counter then looked through them in front of me and didn't even apologize that they were basically trying to steal my clothes. Do NOT sell your clothes here if you don't want to just "donate" good stuff that they can then resell without paying you for it. It is a great place to shop, just not sell. read more

I really struggled on whether I should or shouldn't leave a review but that last few times ive shopped and sold with beau monde have been rough. I'm not trying to throw anyone under the rug, I know Brooke has worked hard to make people happy but you can't please them all I guess. When I first started shopping at BM (maybe 5ish years or so ago) I was so happy, prices were great, styles were great and I was glad it wasn't snobby like Plato's closet. I recently brought in a bag of clothes for which I got $6 credit for. When I took the bag home I was confused as they took at least 3 nicer items. I called to ask about it, the manager was very knowledgeable, she said the clothes they grabbed are for the outlet so I only got $1 per outlet item. 2 of those items I bought for a decent price from beau monde themselves. Like what?! The last two years more and more I feel like if you don't dress like a 15 year old you likely won't be able to sell or find decent clothes there. I've even struggled finding kids clothes there for my kids. They seem so picky and I feel like it's just full of little teenage clothes. So I'm sure if you're ages 11-18 you may find something. But I guess in my mid 20's I'm too old. Better luck elsewhere. read more

I am very happy with this store I have 4 kids and can always find them all something great at pretty good prices. They seem to always have something for everyone but me but that is how it goes I guess :) They just opened a new outlet where everything is only $5 which will be amazing when I go to go school shopping for my kids.
