I had a few items to check. I sent a letter in advance by email to Angel to make my needs clear. It seems that really made her angry. One item is, I'm getting 9.14 MPG below Ford's advertised fuel economy rating. I sent her all the data from my last 11 tankfuls. I was advised by Katelyn to do that. 1st thing Angel said was, she was looking at the stats on 'Ford Pass', and my car was reporting over 51,000 miles. She accused me of not getting service for over 25,000 miles. She said an air filter wouldn't last that long. That was what was causing my poor mileage. I told her that was incorrect. I had only put about 5,000 miles on the car since the service at her place. I told her that the car only had a little over 31,000 miles on it. Angel blamed the mistake on her computer. It sounded to me like she was looking at the wrong account. She probably had more than one tab open. She made several other accusations. Conditions that cause poor mileage were actually all listed by me, in my letter to her. I don't know why she felt the need to tell me what I had already written to her. At one point, she stated that she had been in the business for 25 years. She was really talking down to me. Something you never do in the service industry. I said something like, "Just so you know, I was ASE certified in about 1980." She said, "I don't see how that's 'revelant'". Of course, she meant "relevant". People tend to make mistakes like that when heightened. I answered, "Isn't it just as relevant as you bringing up your 25 years?" She questioned if my new tires were adequate for my model. I told her since the tires have been on the car, the mileage actually improved by 5 MPG. She just kept digging the hole she made for herself. She pointed out in my letter, that I didn't appreciate an almost $600 estimate, as the items I needed looked at were pretty insignificant. Except for the mileage. I needed the windshield wipers set back to the factory position. They are resting up on the windshield. They should be tucked in. Another item is, I've no idea how much life was left on my brake pads. I just wanted a brake inspection. Basically, I purchased the extended warranty from a nice gentleman in the BT sales dept. They charged me plenty for a pre-coverage inspection. The warranty was about $3,111. I paid in full with my debit card. He told me that whenever I had any concerns, bring the car in or call for valet service and my deductible would be $100 per visit. I assumed that would be the case. My Ford dealer in AZ has been doing it exactly that way for several years with my other car. Angel was charging me a min of $165 for every issue that I listed. These were "1st hour charges." I shudder to think what a 2nd hour costs. I said that seemed exorbitant and not what I was told when I purchased my warranty. She assured me that they had shopped area competitors and her rates were, "definitely the cheapest." I told her that there was a shop in my neighborhood that I believe would do a brake inspection for $40. She said, "Well, why don't we cancel your appointment for tomorrow and you can go do that." The call had gotten worse with every second that ticked off. I told her, because she was an 'a$$hole', I would move my service to another dealer altogether. BT Ford is not cheaper than Germaine Ford, my new choice. I went to Midas and had my brakes inspected. It was to cost $24.99. It was done in 20 minutes and they said it would be no charge. No problems. Plenty of pad life remaining. Angel hung up after saying, "I recorded this call so, we'll see who the a$$hole is." (It's still her, by the way ) How bizarre. For what reason did she record the call? Did she make the call expecting confrontation? I was fine. She brought the negativity. She had a superior in the room witnessing the call on speakerphone. I will never spend another dime with BT Ford. Stay far away!!!

The car had a smoke smell that was promised to be taken care of and with 3 treatments is still not taken care of. That's not the worst part. I just unfortunately recieved a car that was not certifiable. The check engine lights have been on. The transmission replaced twice. Leaking engine oil. Tires had to be replaced, within 5 months brakes and rotors both replaced because it was squealing so bad. The wildest part I was notified there is a junk yard piece on the right passenger side wheel. When asked how they determined that they said junk yard pieces are spray painted yellow and that "must have been missed before". Current check engine light is on. So I have politely asked the general sales manager to please work with me and buy this vehicle back and I would be happy to buy another vehicle off the lot. He was willing to give me a portion back but nothing spectacular considering I will be like $14,000 in the hole for what I stupidly assumed was a good purchase from a well known and reputable dealership. Please do not waste your money on certified vehicles they will not honor what they certified at this huge corporate dealership.

It was my favorite car I've owned. I truly believed I was investing in a strong, reliable powertrain backed by a dealership that stood by its customers. Unfortunately, I couldn't have been more wrong. Just 2,000 miles after the warranty expired, the engine developed a loud knocking noise. Smedley's diagnosed it as a catastrophic engine failure but said I'd need to pay $2,000 for a teardown to confirm if it could be rebuilt for around $6,000 or if the engine needed replacement for $12,000. Faced with that situation--$2,000 just to find out I might owe $12,000 more--I had no real choice. I was under stress and financial pressure, so I traded it under duress and took a major loss, leaving me upside down on the next vehicle. Even after that, I tried multiple times over the next couple of years to work with Smedley's and Chevrolet to see if there was any help or goodwill assistance available. I was told the "next owner" would have to get it diagnosed, even though Smedley's had already done that. That made absolutely no sense. When I finally checked the Carfax report, I was shocked to find they had simply done a "tune-up" on the truck and put it right back up for sale. To add insult to injury, I later got a text from one of their salespeople offering me a "manufacturer discount" on an electric vehicle. I've never felt so cheated by a dealership in my life. My entire family (extended w/GM Family Discount)--who have bought from Smedley's for decades--no longer trust them and now take their business elsewhere. It's sad to see how far they've fallen from the honest reputation they once had.

We keep an eye on him best we can and he now has agreed to give up driving as he get lost and cannot find his way home. He stopped (by himself)in at this dealership when we were unaware and the salesperson convinced him to buy an $80,000 Tahoe. Now I get it, there job is to sell cars. Problem is it was very clear Dad was not of his right mind. When they went out for a test drive, the salesperson took him to a bar for drinks!! They got him to sign the paperwork which my dad didn't even know his own address, phone number or any of the critical loan information. Most of it was incorrect. They had to notice he couldn't find his way back to the dealership on the test drive. Once I found out, I contacted the dealership and they were very uncooperative and unwilling to fix the mistake. I even offered to take a loss just to get dad out of this new car payment of $1200/month as his SSA is only &1580/month... I ended us calling the bank and they requested the medical evidence of his dementia so I sent the Cleveland Clinic diagnosis from 2019. The bank contacted the dealership and the dealership was still very unwilling to work with me. Even the owner -Joey Smedley was nothing but a swindler. They basically took Dads 2018 Silverado as trade in and gave him pennies for it. They took the Tahoe back but we lost over $6000 PLUS they kept his Silverado and would not return it. We ended up losing a ton of $$. Some of this is just due to Dads illness and I can understand we had to take a loss. But they took advantage of an elderly old man and I would never go to this dealership because of this. Shame on you Smedley!

I stopped looking for a new van one day and had to practically beg someone to help me out. The guy was not very informative or helpful and more worried about telling me his life story. I left that day with very little information. I then decided to email because they had what i was looking for and give them another chance. I was dealing with a guy named Jim Rothwell. We emailed back and forth for a couple days and came up with a deal on a certain vehicle. My husband and I headed there on a Saturday. Didn't tell the guy we were coming till we got about halfway there but he was able to set an appt time for us at 1:00. When we arrived he was with another customer which was fine. We were checking out the van we had been dealing on all week and he finally made it over to us. He proceeded to tell me that it wasnt the exact van we had talked about but that one was at another local dealer and he could get it for us. If we wanted to test drive that one while we waited that would be fine. It was pretty much the same van but just a couple more options and more expensive of course. We took it for a test drive and gone for about 20 mins. When we arrived back we didn't see the other van. We went inside at waited for about 45 mins. In the meantime he was selling another vehicle. He either needed to let someone else help us or something. That should have been our first red flag. After waiting that whole time he walked us over to his desk and told us that the van we originally wanted had sold. But this was available for more money. How convenient. He shot us a price that was more than we agreed on and I told him that wasn't acceptable. He started talking about a different trim that we talked about which wasn't true and making stuff up. They had checked out our old van for a trade in so I told him he was done wasting our time And give me my keys back. He went to get keys and of course talk to his manager. At this point I'm furious and just want to leave. He comes back out with another offer and all he did was finagle numbers to make it look good. we got our keys and left. Figuring out the numbers he was charging us $3000 more than what we agreed on. The experience was terrible but it gets better when a couple days later he text me to say the offer was still available. I responded with our terrible experience I wouldn't buy from them if they dropped the price $5000. He came back with GOOD LUCK. I responded with I didn't feel like anything about your offer was legit. His reply was we are begging you and take your entitlement elsewhere best of luck. I replied with wow that's great customer service and he replied with YOUR NOT A CUSTOMER. I can't believe that a salesman talks to people like that And by the way his name was Jim Rothwell I would not recommend this place to anyone
