Beaucoup Cafe is a locals favorite here in Newport. It's a Cafe that is connected to a boutique store and is beautiful inside, comfortable, and extremely friendly staff. They have breakfast sandwiches, incredible pastries, specialty drinks, and a comprehensive coffee and tea menu. The thing that we just discovered this week is the gluten-free muffins that are UNBELIEVABLE. They have blueberry, chocolate, and banana-nut gf muffins. This is a cute little place. The baked goods are decent but nothing to write home about. The coffee looked good, but we had already gotten coffee so we'll need to try it next time. The staff were all super nice. We did order fresh squeezed orange juice and then they were out. They offered us another drink but not a refund which was a bit annoying. I know they're busy, but not letting more orders go in when they're out would be ideal. Not enough to stop me from trying again but enough to not have me running back. read more

Came across this little cafe while out with a family member... nice and quiet and great coffee. I got a decaf Americano with cream and a Croissant then hung out with my father in law for a good while relaxing and chatting. The menu is small but with some good choices. I can't speak highly enough about this coffee shop/boutique. It gives off a mix of French Riviera meets Americana vibes, and I'm loving it! The staff is super friendly, the pastries out of this world (they also have a few GF options), the coffee variety is fantastic and tasty, and I love their decor - especially the adorable stuffed animal ducks on the tables in the cafe area. It's also nice to know they try to use local ingredients when possible. I tried the strawberry milk iced match - so glad I did! Visiting for the weekend and wanted a coffee. This was conveniently located close to where we were staying. When looking at the good reviews, figured we had to try it. You walk up and you see the line is outside of the store, so automatically you think it has to be good. The line was definitely slower moving. But once you get inside, you can smell the aroma of the coffee and pastries which was good. Coffee was a little pricey, but it's good quality. I really liked my iced caramel latte and they did the perfect amount of oat milk, making it really nice and creamy. Once we placed the order, it was fairly quick for our order to be ready. Also, definitely one of the better croissants I've ever had. Worth checking out for sure. read more

Stopped by because I was staying at a hotel nearby for a family trip. The place inside is really cute. I would say the prices are typical for a cute cafe in a popular neighborhood. So they're pretty high. The lady helping us was nice. The wait wasn't too long. There aren't many coffee shops nearby so after I ordered I could see the line got really long. Staff was smiling and nice even as the line was almost out the door. The one thing that might keep me away is the clientele. They have jewelry and cute shirts and so much more. The vibe is so cute and French and the way it's decorated is so comforting and aesthetic. I wish I could come here everyday and do bible study's. A delicious and aesthetic oasis from the hustle and bustle of Thames Street, Beaucoup is a welcoming new cafe that I honestly hope thrives and grows! I really loved the frozen matcha and the fresh orange juice, but the pastries left a little bit to be desired. No worries, though. The atmosphere is calming and relaxing, and I would certainly go back, next time with a laptop and headphones, as it seems like a great place to get some work done! #synergy. The front counter staff seemed friendly and cheerful, and also were quite knowledgeable about their menu offerings, making accomodations and substitutions for dietary needs and answering questions with a smile, which was much appreciated. I really love this little cafe. The iced hazelnut latte with oatmilk is delish! The latte art is always such a treat! Croissants, ham & swiss are tasty! This is a new business so any review needs to be tempered with expectations for a new business. The facility is maintained to the top. The furniture and settings are really quite nice. It has a very airy and light feeling to it. The location has a premium espresso machine and you get Latte art (which, sadly, is a rarity in this town), but the coffee just tastes bad. The shot tastes long. I think this is a cute place that will do really well in the summer, but from a drink perspective, not at the top of my list. Harvest Market has a new coffee experience since the Coffee Guy left. It might be worth it to walk a little further down Thames for a killer breakfast sandwich perhaps a better? I've experienced coffee and cafes from all over the world. I'm here to say this is #1. In town for a Naval graduation I googled and found this gem. Right off the bat the girl taking my order understood my coffee language. Dry, more foam, etc. the gentleman who made my drink has coffee knowledge. This was the best cappuccino I've had to date. I popped into to this cafe for a cafe on a cold rainy day. What an absolute delight I found this shop to be. The staff was so kind, they allowed me inn with my dog. They didn't have to allow him in, but they did. Their service was 100 percent top notch. Their coffee was fabulous, and they had such varieties. I indulged in a slice of cinnamon bread, and it was scrumptious. I highly recommend you pop in for a tea or coffee and a treat. You will not be disappointed.
