    Wine, beer and cocktails-October 2025
    Jennifer B.

I already like Charlotte airport-even though the concourses get really crammed sometimes. Everything just seems more manageable there. Maybe it's the atrium-all that light streaming into the central part of the terminal. Maybe it's the piano player or the rocking chairs. Now I can add Beaudevin to that list of pleasantries. It's right there in the atrium, tucked behind a sushi place. It's so peaceful-you can watch the people rush by-without really hearing them or getting hit by their luggage. It has bar seating... fully inside seating... and seating just outside the main dining room-for that al fresco/"dining on the patio" feel. I chose that spot during a recent long layover. It was perfect. So was my server! She was so pleasant and upbeat, vibrant and helpful. She knew exactly when to check on me. I went with the Greek salad and a Pinot Grigio. Both were very good. Then I tried an Albariño. Chef's kiss-spectacular! The decor included some glam lighting and wine bottle theming. The chairs, while attractive and comfortable-we're definitely well worn (with lots of peeling). But... it didn't take away from the ambiance. Everything was clean. The food menu is fairly limited but there are lots of wine and cocktail options. As for prices... well, you know... you're at the airport. But I'll definitely go back again-and sip away, while watching the changing light outside those big windows. You've gotta grab those dreamy moments when and where you can. Cheers!

My margarita that had floating black specs (you can actually see them in this picture) Gross!

This is located in the airport behind the sushi place. The place was extremely understaffed so it did take a while to get waited on, but the food was good. I had the turkey panini and it was delicious. I liked that it was a quieter spot away from the hustle bustle of the airport but I think they need to get more wait staff. I ordered a margarita and it came with a ton of black floaters in it so I sent it back (not sure of the ice, the glass, or the like was dirty but it gave me the ick). They have an app that allows you to order your food which is a good option but we saw a bunch of people sit and leave after 5 minutes because nobody greeted them or waited on them.

I had high hopes when I came across Beaudevin, especially after a stressful day filled with flight delays -- my expectations were halfway met. Here's the good: their Bloody Mary is very good, very well done. The Artisan Cheese Plate is also good, for the most part (more info. below); and I especially enjoyed the herb goat cheese, aged pecorino, and apricot preserves. Now, on to the bad: though the menu clearly specified that the cheese board includes brie, mine didn't. Also, I don't like blue cheese and can't eat it at all so I requested olives in place of the blue, which I was told would be an easy swap but, sadly, I received the blue cheese after all. As for the service, I wouldn't say it was good and I wouldn't say it was bad; it was simply ok and could certainly be better.

It's not Vino Volo, I'll tell you that. It took forever to get seated, even though I was staring at a few empty tables. Then, you had to use their website to view the menu so it was hard to flip from wines to food to other stuff. Finally, the waiter brought a menu over, but I had to "hurry" (his word) as it was the one from the counter that potential customers can look at. I almost walked out at that point. It IS a peaceful retreat from the rest of the crazy airport noise and traffic. However, the service was lacking and wine selection wasn't all that enticing. The main reason I won't return is the lack of any kind of wine flights. Or maybe they did and I missed them.

My first impression was the WINE sign..I absolutely love wine and thought this may be an intriguing place to try so I did. Overall, I think it was a great choice! Ms Joyce was very nice as a hostess and my server was Patricia, she was great also. So, let's get into it! The ambiance was nice and chill. I even considered looking into the possibilities of a franchise...hmm

This was the $6 grilled chicken add-on to the salad.

Do not go here if you have to catch a connecting flight, or if you want reasonable service or warm, good tasting food. This was one of the slowest airport restaurants I have ever been to. The poor bartender was nice and clearly trying, but he was the only person working until an apathetic manager showed up. It took over ONE hour to get food, which is terrible at an airport restaurant. This was for a green salad with grilled chicken, and a soup-sandwich combo. The chicken was a $6 add on for a few strips of dried, flavorless cold chicken. The tomato soup tasted like canned, bland tomato soup. The grilled cheese was all bread and cold cheese. The manager did write off one entree as an apology for the wait, which was appreciated (and the reason for 2 stars instead of one), but still a negative experience not worth the price or anxiety of slow service between connecting flights. I expected quiet, high quality and efficient service like Vino Bolo, but this was definitely not that. When in CLT airport, I will definitely steer clear of this one.

We had a nice charcuterie board and sparkling rose' between planes, and it was nice, not overly crowded which allowed us to chill. It's in the atrium, so it's easily accessible from all gates. Bon appetit!

Beautiful wine bar / restaurant. The decor pulled me in. Delicious charcuterie boards and wine. Happy I stopped in during my flight layover and delay. The staff was doing their best with all the flight delays today. Can't imagine the pressure but glad I had the waitress I had. So sweet. Kept calling me Darling. too cute. In the midst of chaos, this was a relaxing area to chill for a few in between flights. Little Flies are a problem here. Needs to be looked at by the manager. Had to shoo a few away....

If I could give it 3.5 stars I would. I got my sandwich to go and didn't wait long at the bar to get it but when I first walked in 2 different employees just looked at me & didn't ask if I needed help or anything. There's a side entrance that says it's to place carryout orders so that's where I was standing. No one came so I went to the bar area & that's where I placed my order. My order came out quick and my sandwich was delicious but the service is definitely lacking.

Located in the CLT Airport, the Beaudevin is a decent option if you have time to kill and are fiending for some vino... The wine selection is the best offering here. Great variety of wines and pours. Definitely not an issue here... During my visit, it appeared that they were understaffed. The servers were covering extensive areas throughout the venue. I was sitting in the outer tables by the entrance and had to wave my server down for refills. She was nice and trying her best. I ordered the turkey panini and it was average. I was keeping my expectations in check as I realize I'm in airport. The turkey portion was minimal but there was plenty of bread. The dish came with a small serving of potato chips. If you're looking to get your wine on, stop on by. If you're feeling pretty hungry, I'd probably check the other options in the airport. Safe Travels!

Right next to all the fast food places in the airport Comfortable seating. Nice place to eat or drink between flights Large bar area with good wine and cocktails. Upscale feel but comfortable I got the tomato soup and grilled cheese Very tasty and delicious Helpful service and quick Not a big menu but enough for various things

Beaudevin means beautiful wine! This place was the winner of the best new airport bar. Offering wine, sandwiches and small plates. I ordered the Salumeria panini cured meats salted Italian with an olive spread. This was very flavorful and savory. The tomatoe basil soup has just enough tanginess to compliment the sweet basil seas Our server, Simon was great. A great option to chains in the airport.

I will 10000% be stopping here every time I come through the CLT airport. I've passed by it so many times and somehow it never clicked in my brain that they were there. I've ordered from the sushi bar that's right in front of them, but I am SO glad I tried them out. My server was fantastic and very kind. She made sure I was taken care of. Checked in with me and made sure I got my food on time. I had an hour layover, but we all know that goes by so quick. It was towards the end of the night so it wasn't too busy, there was about 4 or 5 other groups around the restaurant. My wine was tasty and my food was amazing!! Soup and grilled cheese are simple yes, but they have some great ingredients that make it taste that much better. Can't wait to come back!

Using the app is easy. Very small menu

We both enjoyed, enough to get a second round (I opted for a full glass of the sparkling wine from the first flight). For tapas, we shared the meatballs, salmon, and broccolini. The first plate came out very quickly, less than 5 minutes, and was piping hot. They were delicious and there was plenty of sauce leftover for dipping bread. The broccolini and salmon were done perfectly as well. Everything was super flavorful and it was just the right amount of food for us. While I take full responsibility for arriving 15 minutes late, I was shocked at how rudely the hostess--who we later learned was the manager--handled the situation. Rather than a simple acknowledgment of the delay, or improbability of getting a table, she made a point to shame us, emphasizing that accommodating us would be an extra burden for her. This set an uncomfortable tone from the start. When she begrudgingly seated us at a table that had somehow magically become available, she made another unnecessary comment, implying that I should do my part to not make her job so difficult again. My partner was immediately put off and suggested we leave, but I decided to give the restaurant another chance, assuming the manager might just be having a rough night. Unfortunately, things did not improve. The food, best described as uninspired frozen bar fare from the main Duckworth's kitchen, took over 30 minutes to arrive--and even then, it was served before our drinks. When the drinks finally did arrive, they were nothing exceptional. I ordered a French 75, and my partner had a Paloma, only to realize that even the drinks had come from downstairs at Duckworth's. Given the restaurant's supposed reputation, I was surprised that it didn't have its own bar, unlike how things are set up at The Cellar. The only redeeming aspect of our visit was our waitress, who was pleasant and professional. However, what puzzled us the most was that despite the manager's initial reluctance to seat us, nearly half of the restaurant remained empty throughout the evening. With at least three or four servers working in a relatively small space, it was clear that staffing wasn't the issue--so why the hostility? It was hard not to wonder if other potential diners had been similarly turned off by the manager's deplorable attitude and the underwhelming menu. Overall, the experience left a bad taste in our mouths--both literally and figuratively. Between the lackluster food and drinks, and the uncalled-for attitude from management (she is bald and was wearing a dress on the evening of 2/14/25 at 9:30PM-11PM), I cannot recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience.
