Very fast service at a very reasonable price. I had a suit altered here. The suit jacket and pants needed a lot of changes to make the suit look sharp and fit me well. The shop owner talked through some options with me. Some of the changes were difficult, including changing the shape of the chest of the jacket, and the alterations worked reasonably well to address the issues. While I still don't like the way it fits me, the suit fits a lot better after the alterations. If I keep the suit, I may have it altered again. One pant leg that was altered had a hole where the seam wasn't finished or a thread came loose, I'm not sure. I sewed up the hole myself when I noticed it - this was on the day of an event I needed to wear the suit for. read more

I came here because I needed my wedding dress altered. Mila was super nice to me and charged me a very reasonable price compared to what David's Bridal wanted to charge me. She also went through and looked at what DB had recommended me to fix (sometimes they'll tell you to fix things that don't need to be fixed in order to charge more). Mila told me that taking in the top the way DB had told me to would affect how the bust looked. I was so happy to find that only hemming the dress and taking in the straps was necessary. So far, I have had a bridesmaid's dress hemmed; sleeves removed from a dress, darts put in around the bust to make it fit right, little snap straps to keep my bra straps in place added, and a hole mended next to a panel of buttons; a pair of jeans hemmed, and cuffs to a hoodie reinforced. I brought my mermaid dress in to be hemmed by about 6 inches. I wanted to be able to walk and dance at the wedding that I'm attending without falling flat on my face. I'm 5'2, and I was already wearing 5 inch heels but the train was still ridiculously long. Mila was friendly and professional. She finished hemming my dress in less than a week. She called me the day of the pick up letting me know a good time to pick it up. She charged me $45 (I paid with a credit card), which is pretty standard for a formal dress. What I read is that tailors charge by the width of the bottom of dress that needs to be hemmed. Since mermaid dresses flare out, I was expecting to pay about that much.
