I don't usually write reviews, but this experience was so bad I felt like I had to. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I came in being polite and respectful, expecting the same in return since I'm paying for a service. During my appointment, the technician told me to hold my eyebrow after waxing, and then immediately told me not to touch my face because my hands were "dirty." That was already confusing and unprofessional. What really bothered me was that the staff started talking and giggling in another language, assuming I wouldn't understand. Unfortunately for them, I do understand, and they were speaking negatively as if I wasn't even there. It was extremely disrespectful and made me feel very uncomfortable. I have been going here for a long time. For $10 to get your brows threaded it's hard to beat. One time one of the ladies went way too thin on one side and the next time I came in another lady pointed it out (I didn't have the heart to tell her they did that to me), but other than that I've been really happy with the work they do, and you can't beat the price. They've always been polite and courteous to me. I actually went there a couple hours after writing this review and got someone who was both unfriendly and butchered my brows. Really disappointed but have no idea where else to go that does threading for $10 and knows what they are doing. If anyone has a suggestion please let me know because I'm very disappointed and my brows don't look good. :( I no longer have a beautiful arch and they look totally uneven. read more

I needed to get my eyebrows done and quickly before heading out of state for a job interview. So I emailed Annette J asking if she had any suggestions of where to get them done. A friend of her's has great brows and said she goes to Beautiful Eyebrows in Fairlane Mall of all places. I was a little skeptical to begin with because I had never had my brows done but need to do something. I heard about the threading method which seems to be becoming more popular than ever because they don't use any chemicals. This place is right by Sear's in the corner so could be a little hard to find. Luckily I did my research before heading off to the mall. I wasn't sure about prices because nothing seemed to be posted that I could tell. I signed my name in the book and sat down. It took about 7 minutes or so. I wasn't sure if it would hurt or not having only used tweezers before. It felt about the same as using tweezers and my brows looked good. The price was right as well I ended up paying only $10 plus tip. Thanks to the women at Beautiful Eyebrows for a good experience and at a decent price. After trying threading my eyebrows won't be able to look nice without it. read more

The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because my sister went at the same time and her brows looked great. She had the older lady while I had a younger girl. My brows, on the other hand, were completely botched. Actually, let me take that back. My eyebrows look okay but the girl who did my brows literally cut the skin below them multiple times. I have been threaded before and have never had this issue. I have little scabs under my eyebrows now where she was very careless. I think she was in a hurry. At first I thought it was just dried blood, but it's definitely little cuts. Not to mention, she didn't offer any alcohol or anything to clean or soothe my brows afterwards. Don't go here unless you want to be screamed at by both the employees and the owners, they have no manners at all towards customers who have been coming for many years. I can't believe the absolute audacity that the people here have and can't believe they're still in business. They don't honor the cards they sign if you bring them in and claim they're expired when there is NO expiration date on them. They make shit up because they're too cheap to honor their cards. On another note, last time I came here they told me my credit card payment never went through, so I paid cash, but ended up being charged on my card as well. So this is an updated review. It's been about 2 years or so since my review of this place and while I still think they do a good job there are some things I'd like to mention. First and foremost the wait time has steadily increased over the years. There have been plenty of times when there is nowhere to sit because there are so many people waiting. Good for them but as a customer I'm annoyed. To this day I have always had good service with this location however during my long wait times I have seen the employee interactions with others and it is not good. A lot of times they are rude to customers. Especially the ones who want a specific person to do their brows. Now I admit that because of this I have never asked for a specific person and have to trust that they do a good job but really I shouldn't have to be afraid to ask for fear of getting into it with an employee. As far as I am concerned they still do a good job but it isn't worth it for me to make the drive that way just for them. I honestly don't get the reviews. Truthfully, I've been going to this place for a while and it's about what time of day or what day you go on. It's really one of the best options in metro Detroit compared to other places. Yes, the customer service isn't the best and maybe one in a blue moon you'll get one of the younger ladies who isn't as good. However, most of them know how to get your brows together. The only reason this place gets 2 stars is because one of the ladies working there (I think she might be the owner?) actually knows how to do eyebrows. If she's not there I usually walk out. I have taken chances with the other women who work there but I always end up with slightly uneven brows. It seems like I've gotten lucky in that mine aren't severely ruined; they are usually in a state where I can even them out myself at home (but, if I'm paying for a service I shouldn't have to perform part of it myself at home later.) Others don't get as lucky, I've had a few friends end up with bad experiences after going here (extremely uneven brows, overly thinned-out, etc.) and they were simply told "don't worry, they'll grow back." I try avoid coming here if I can, but if you're in a pinch and have no other options, I recommend calling ahead and making sure the owner is working before walking in. read more

If I wrote a review while I was angry, it's only fair I do one when I am pleased. I LOVE this place. The women who have been there for awhile (longer than 2 or 3 years) are PHENOMENAL. They're usually pretty quick, and usually pretty friendly. TWO reasons for only 4 stars: 1) if a tweezer is used, I'm less than confident in the results, and in ALL the years I've been their customer, it's only happened ONCE. 2) YOU CANNOT WAIT FOR YOUR FAVORITE THREADER. This SUCKS! - mostly because of concerns like my original review, AND because you WANT to go to who you trust- who ALWAYS follows through with precision. Especially during SLAY season (summer). LOL How cool would it be if they ALL had their own clip boards though, so you could wait on your preferred choice? I have been coming here for over a year now. I have a girl i like to go to in particular on mondays. Yesterday i went in, there was only one other girl in the store getting her eyebrows done at the time. There was only one lady threading (she said her name was Huda). Not the usual lady i prefer. But i thought i'm already here maybe i should give her a shot. The lady in front of me finished getting her eyebrows done and was not satisfied. But kept saying i guess its okay it will grow out. At this point i should have known. Huda and the patron were having difficulty discussing what the customer did not like about her eyebrows. Huda does not speak much english. I thought about it, but i was like ok i will still give Huda a shot. I asked just for a clean up. When she was done i looked in the mirror and noted, that the tail end of the right eyebrow was gone, and my left eye brow was thicker and longer. Huda said, no i only cleaned it up. I am not blind, theres a CLEAR difference. You don't even need a ruler to see the difference. She kept saying "listen hunny i just did clean up, i didn't touch your eyebrows". first off all don't listen hunny ME! SECOND even if you cleaned by eyebrows you DID touch them! THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT difference in shape and size! NO ONE else was in the shop, it was just the two of us. Huda never apologized, never took responsibility. I know they will grow back, but guess what i have a wedding to go to this weekend, my birthday is coming up, i am traveling! No one wants to go around town with an eyebrow that is thick and long and then one that is thin and short!! HOW ABOUT other people noticing my eyebrows before i even said anything to them about it!!! OTHER PEOPLE NOTICED! so i am not crazy! i paid $10 for nothing! customer service is TERRIBLE! I understand sometimes things happen, and i wouldn't be as mad if Huda just said sorry or politely discussed how to fix it. Instead she kept saying "no hunny i didn't touch your eyebrows, i just cleaned it."getting defensive. I will not return because of the customer service. You are better of going to salon west or any of these other salons that will treat you nicely. As for the review below me, it should not matter what time of day or what day you go. This place is somewhat hit or miss, but it's probably the best option in metro Detroit to get your eyebrows threaded. I find that the employees are somewhat rude and they definitely take their time moving from client to client. I've been there about 9-10 times and I was only unhappy once, which is pretty decent in my opinion. read more

If you get the older lady, she does a good job, but the young ones do not know what they're doing. They shake their heads like they understand what you want, but they don't, and you will end up looking like an alien with pencil thin eyebrows. The more important thing about this place, is that they are EXTREMELY RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, AGGRESSIVE, HOSTILE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. They never smile, even though I have been going there for three years, I have never been made to feel welcome. In fact, the women always have a scowl on their face. A few times I've requested for a certain person to do my eyebrows, and I've been rudely told that they can't take requests. Once the woman that I wanted my eyebrows done by told me her shift finished 5 mins ago, and she couldn't do mine, even though I've been getting my eyebrows done by her fairly regularly for three years. Then she stayed there for half an hour chatting with another lady. Once the place was extremely crowded, and I waited for 45 mins, and felt it was weird my name hadn't been called out. I went and checked their log sheet, and they had completely skipped my name and were on someone else whose name was 10 spaces below. I asked them about it, and the lady arrogantly said oh you must have not heard. Firstly, they did not call out my name. Secondly, they have to know who I am coz I go every 2 weeks, couldn't she have called me, like a normal person would ! Anyway, after all this she told me I would have to write my name down again at the bottom, so I left. Also even when there's no one else, or your turn has come, they make you wait for ten mins, while they just yap away. They will also leave you just sitting in the chair half way through your eyebrow start chatting with each other for 10-15 mins. And this happens almost every time I go there. If you go to a place for three years, you expect to be greeted by name, or at least with a smile.. NEVER happened. If you're wondering why I went there for three years, its only coz it was right next to where I work. Anyway, today was the last time , and I'm never going back. I waited for ten mins even though no one else was there. Halfway through, the lady stopped and started chatting with the other lady who works there. I was in a hurry, so after 5 mins or so, I said excuse me. The lady glared at me, and imitated the way I said excuse me. And then she's like I'm gonna take a break and work whenever I want to . She started talking to other woman and said " these people never say thank you " I didn't say anything but I felt like telling those women, first of all I always say thank you when I'm paying ; and why I would I be thankful to people who have been nothing but rude to me for three years . Downright horrible and attrocious service. The worst experience I've ever had with getting my eyebrows done in the US. I don't even know if the service lady listened to me when I explained how I'd like my eyebrows. I asked her to do it thick which a slight arch. She was done in 2 mins and was talking to her colleague all the while (I wouldn't have minded the loud talking if she had done a good job. Feels like she was concentrating more on talking and paid least attention to how she was threading my eyebrows). When I looked up in the mirror, half my eyebrow was gone and I was left with eyebrows that looked like two straight thin lines. I'm a person who's obsessed with my eyebrows and looking at myself in the mirror I wanted to cry. Everything from her tone to her body language sounded rude and had a I-don't-give-a-damn attitude. I just wish the owners hire staff who have actual skills in doing good eyebrows rather than namesake staff who have the skills of a 3 year old in shaping an eyebrow. My husband was shocked as well that I was done in less than 2 mins. Just cannot believe that there exists a place with such pathetic and horrible service/ skills. I've never felt so bad about any place/person/ service like this before. As I walked out of that place I was fuming with emotions that the lady ruined my life. Im from California and only really trust one person to do my eyebrows. With that concern in mind I was skeptical to try this place. However, as soon as I entered I could tell these were people of high work ethic. Focused, precise, and efficient is what I noticed as I waited to get my eyebrows done. I can't believe how rudely i was treated at this so called place of business. And the weird thing is, i've been several times before. The woman who either owns the place or is the main "eyebrow threader" is very good at what she does so she has a lot of customers. However, a few months ago when I went in to get my eyebrows done she did not want to do mine for some reason. I am still confused as to why...we never got into any altercation, exchanged words, or anything of the sort. I think that it upsets her that people don't want to go to the other ladies she hired for help. But if someone is willing to wait on you, and are not rushing you, etc. because they like your services how can you be upset at that and refuse to give someone service (especially if the person has not disrespected or rude to you). Many people would have gotten rude and irate with this woman for what she did (and she deserves to be cursed out for it) but I just walked out. I have never experienced this in my life, and I hate to say this but that is not how you treat people and I hope she loses a lot of her customers if she continues to treat other people this way. I used to love this place, however I believe that of you are paying for service you should be able to choose who you are dealing with. I have had two trouble experiences with the same person. I have a scar on my eye brows, however my eyebrows are thick and long. She drastically took my right eyebrows size down and just sent me on my merry way. I came back to have her correct it and she was telling me that one eyebrow was thinner than the other which doesn't mean you make one shorter in length. Thin and short are two different things. I still enjoy the other eyebrow techs but please don't go to the one wearing glasses she's rude insulting and does only what she wants to do. read more

This location used to be my go to spot for at least a year until I was forced to start going to the younger threaders because you cannot pick one person to consistently do your eyebrows. So, I would always walk in with hesitation wondering who was going to be threading my eyebrows. Last time I went , there was a new lady who did way more eyebrow plucking than threading so that was disappointing. The older ladies do a much better job. If there is a customer service issue they fail to resolve it and you are shit out of luck if you get double charged or overcharged. I will be searching for a new eyebrow location because this one fails to deliver on a consistent basis and they have horrible attitudes. read more
