My friend took me here for a pedicure as a "thank you," and I was happy to go. It's very much a mass production sort of thing, with tons of tables and spa chairs set up in a large room. Very quick and impersonal sort of thing. The place has no real charm and aesthetic appeal, but they get the job done. The line moves rather quickly and you're in and out in no time. The job they did was great, so it's not like the quality of the work suffered for all their hurrying or anything. I don't know what she paid, though, so can't comment on the price. But I will say it's centrally located and we went after work on a week night and got in and out of there in a half an hour. Not bad. read more

i used to go to a fancy salon in maplewood whose name escapes me and then i thought i'd try this place based on the reviews. no, this place wasn't as aesthetically pleasing as the other, but it's not bad either. i got a mani/pedi for $32 TOTAL, where at that other place i was paying $34 for the pedicure before tax. and when i nicked my nail walking out the door, they fixed it for me. i definitely recommend this place and can't wait for my sister to come to town so i can take her with me. i can even afford to treat her. read more

I usually go here to get my nails done and I love it. For my wedding in April, my bridal party and I got manicures & pedicures in the private room and it was a great experience! We loved that it felt like we had the place to ourselves while we were hanging out and being pampered. We also got to bring in stuff for mimosas and breakfast too. I got acrylic nails at this salon and the experience was honestly very upsetting. The technician I had was not good at communicating what he was doing, and, as my first time getting fake nails, served to make the experience more anxiety inducing. He also gave me nails that were uneven, and I had to ask him to straighten out my nails several times before they looked the same length. After my nails were painted, I was shuttled to the area for my nails to dry and forgotten about, so I ended up just leaving after 45 minutes of waiting to be told I could leave. (I had already paid, don't worry) The nails were fine, but started to snag after a week on my hair and clothes, and one nail fell of during the night about 2 weeks after my appointment. Now that they are all removed, I have splinter hemorrhages on several of my nails. This was honestly a very bad experience and I would never go back. read more

Definitely have gotten better. The girl was not very friendly and in a big hurry my nails were just ok. I wasn't tooexcited about the polish selection, so I just did them at home. This is the best pedicure I've ever had in St. Louis. All the workers were very polite, and they were happy to accommodate me even though I walked in 30 minutes before closing time. My technician Jessica was very professional and extremely detail oriented. I got a french pedicure with a flower design and the result was exquisite. It's odd to me that a lot of the more recent reviews for this place have been unsatisfactory. I just went to Beautiful Nails for the first time a couple of weeks ago and was very happy with the service. Granted, there were only a few customers in there. I was greeted right away, chose my color, and the nail technician was ready for me. She did a great job and spent a good amount of time giving me a nice foot massage. My toes looked great after the pedicure, and I walked out of there spending a total of $25, tip included. Not bad for a nice pedicure! Beautiful Nails certainly isn't some revitalizing, spa-like experience, but they do a wonderful job if you're just looking to keep your nails looking cleaned up and cute. This salon is welcoming and clean. I have been here twice already and will continue to come back. I scheduled an appointment and only had a wait a few minutes. I feel they were true to keeping the appointment unlike other salons that I have made appointments with and had to wait over 15mins to be helped. I'm visiting from out of town and wanted to take my sister to get our nails done. This was a rushed job. They didn't cut, shape or file my nails well. I have a damaged toe nail and they didn't get all the polish off, so you can see it through my other nail. The polish looks ok but not great. My feet aren't even soft. I get pedicures monthly and have gone to tons of nail salons for about the same price and this is the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. read more

When I need to get my nails done, I always come here, no matter how far out of the way it is. They have a huge salon, that I'm always able to get in without an appointment. I don't have a particular person that I go to, but I've never had a bad manicure or pedicure there. I'm very picky about my nails and am always happy when I walk out! Ugh, I just don't know. I generally feel uncomfortable getting my nails done, but I've been to a few places that help me feel comfortable due to their kindness and friendliness. The technician I had here just didn't do it for me. She did a pretty nice job on my manicure (I got a French manicure) but otherwise was pretty cold towards me. The whole thing felt rushed and she didn't really give me a hand massage which is my favorite part usually. I also question the cleanliness of the tools, as I didn't see any sort of UV sterilizer around and she just sort of pulled these tools out of a drawer. I used to really like this place and went here often. But I feel like it's going downhill. I've had way too many experiences with the nail girls doing shoddy work and when I try to point out so they can fix it they give me an attitude. I'm going to start looking for another place to go. Terrible nail shop. Asked my tech to replace my nail due to it being put on crooked last time. Got a huge attitude when I asked her to fix it and was told that she cannot make it match my other nails also my nail is still crooked. Was never thanked or told where to go dry my nails. Best kept secret on STL for pedi's and mani's! I won't go anywhere else!

I went in last Thursday for a mani-pedi. I got a gel manicure because I had a photo shoot that weekend and needed the polish to be on point. I understand that with a gel manicure they should leave a small sliver before the cuticle; however, this is a huge gap. It looks identical to my friend's gel manicures from 2 weeks ago (I compared with 5 different people, all 2 weeks out). She didn't even do an even edge on the top so there are points by the cuticle and it doesn't follow the natural line. On top of that, she missed getting the polish to each edge of my nail yet still got polish all over my fingers which she attempted to clean but didn't fully. It is still there thanks to the gel. If that wasn't enough, she cut my nails so short they are unusable. She cut them down below the edge of my fingers and I fear them getting ingrown. My fingers are so sensitive because they are now exposed where they hadn't been. It feels and looks like I jammed my entire hand and broke all the nails down. This combined to make my deep nail beds look like little baby nails. Now onto the pedicure. She cut my big toe nails terribly and one is now starting to get ingrown. Thanks for ruining my feet too. She went to sand down my calluses but didn't even get rid of the dead skin on my heel. Her own nails were so long that the "massage" portion was just getting poked by greasy nails over and over. Not at all relaxing. She left me several times without a word and then came back later. I could hardly hear her as she was pretty much whispering the whole time. She stared at me when she asked me to wash my hands and I had no idea where the sinks were as I had not been there before. It was near impossible to hear her directions to them. I then got a huffy attitude when I was taking not even 2 minutes to put my socks and shoes back on after the pedicure and didn't leave her station fast enough. She didn't tell me where to put the shoes and had a stank look on her face. I am 100% miserable with both the service and the result. I will never go back. That was a huge waste of money and now I will have to go somewhere else to fix the terrible mistakes that she made and fix the ingrown nails that are certainly forthcoming. read more

All of the nail technicians are really good and they spend a really long time on their manicures and pedicures to make sure your nails look perfect and it shows! My pedicure was fine, but I will not get a manicure here again. The technician cut my cuticles and the skin around each nail. It hurt in in some places at the time. Now a couple of weeks later I have hangnails on almost every finger and I can see the places she cut. Since then I've been reading that you should never cut your cuticle unless you have a hangnail and that inept technicians will cause problems. The staff here are nice enough, but after this and reading about the sanitation issues in the other reviews, I will not go back. read more
