Since my natural hair color is black, it has undertones of red which I really hate. My stylist was Isa and I told her that I was really unhappy with the redness (brassiness) in my hair and how I had thought I wanted lighter color hair in the past but realized that it makes me look washed out. I liked how Isa told me she was going to put layers in my hair when she was getting ready to cut my hair because it gave me the chance to tell her that I didn't want that. I've been to other salons where they do whatever they want and by the time you realize what they've done, it's too late. Isa worked her magic and my hair is no longer brassy! On Wednesday, I had my roots touched up with a single-process color. When I got home, it was obvious that the color was uneven, with one section noticeably darker than the rest. I called the salon on Thursday and explained the issue. At that time, I was told it would be corrected as a complimentary service. When I arrived Saturday, the colorist acknowledged the color difference as did both owners. The owner, Joel, told the colorist it was because she did not pull the color through my hair enough to blend it. However, then I was informed that I would have to pay $100 for a toner to fix a mistake that was not mine. I was shocked I was being asked to pay to fix a color error. I have had this happen in the past at other salons and it has always been fixed without an issue. As someone who has supported this salon for years, I expected much better customer service. Mistakes can happen, but how a business handles them is what matters. Instead of honoring what I had been told and correcting the uneven color, I was asked to pay more to fix their work. I left feeling disappointed, frustrated, and undervalued as a longtime customer. Unfortunately, because the salon would not correct the issue without charging me, I now have to purchase color and fix it myself at home. I sincerely hope Salon Council reconsiders how they treat loyal customers when a service does not turn out as expected.

I arrived a few minutes early because I was on a time crunch, but I waited in the lobby alone until after my appointment time started. I heard people, which I believe were employees talking in the back for a while. About 5 minutes after my appointment "officially" started my technician came to the lobby to tell me she was going to clean off the bed and would be right back. A couple minutes later she returned and walked me to the back. She asked me to sit on the wet bed, which I did. She went over the consent form and began going over the process, but I was familiar with a lash lift, so I asked her to just get to the service. At this point it was already 20 minutes after my appointment time started and the service still hadn't begun. She finally got to the service and started with a nice relaxing massage (about a minute). Then she proceeded to tape down my lashes for the next 10 minutes. She struggled to do this because she cleaned my eyes with a sopping wet cotton round. Then she asked me to open my eyes, which let even more micellar water in my eyes. She eventually gave up on taping down my bottom lashes. Everything from here went downhill. She asked me why if my eyes are always so watery....Uh they weren't until you saturated them. Then she proceeds to glue down the lash form. She gave me medium, which was for the first time of my life. My lashes a me pretty long and I always get at least large. She offered me a tissue to help with the scent of the first smelly cream. I declined. She got sooo much of it in my eyes that they sarted to burn horribly and wouldn't stop pouring tears . I told her it was burning and she tried to clean it, but she got a lot of product directly in my eyes. I was ready to run to the bathroom and wash my face. She rushed through the rest of the process and even took the lash forms off then put them back on to clean off the excess product. She put them back onto do the tint, but by then I was ready to run out. After she was done she handed me the mirror and I've never seen my eyes so bloodshot and so puffy. They were painful on their own and to the touch. It took days for them to feel normal. Then I finally saw the outcome...this is the worst last lift of my life. They are soooo crooked, crossed, and unnatural. 2 stars for the good service. For context, I have had over 15 lash lifts in my life and this was my worst by far! I'm stuck like this for 3 months and now my lashes are starting to thin out.

After returning home from traveling abroad, I came to Jigsaw based on recommendations by my mom and extremely picky aunt. I figured if my aunt liked this place, it must be worth a try. It turns out pretty much my entire family get their hair cut by Suzanne, so I requested her too. I gotta say, her hands are incredibly talented! I don't know know how to describe what I want even if someone handed me a dictionary so I showed her some pictures that I got off of Google. The results were way better than I had expected! Sometimes what you see in pictures don't exactly fit your head shape, etc, but Suzanne can work it so that fits you. That's real talent! I should also mention that I have severe psoriasis on my scalp and some hair salons shy away from cutting my hair, afraid that they might hurt me. Suzanne has a ton of experience and the staff here are super gentle when shampooing so it doesn't hurt me at all. They even took the time to ask questions and use the correct shampoos. On my second time back, I took my hair way short because I'm getting ready to film YouTube videos about my psoriasis issues. Suzanne was cutting my mom's hair so her husband cut mine. These two must be a power couple because man, the dude is amazing! I wasn't worried at all that this is the first time he's cutting my hair. If you're tired of people messing up your hair or you're a guy that doesn't really like barbershops, come to Jigsaw, you won't regret it.
