I am usually skeptical of trying new nail places, but after seeing the high ratings HV has, I knew it was worth a try! I scheduled my appointment for 4/24, but when I was about to leave, my phone alerted me that there was a tornado warning in my area and it was unsafe to drive. Luckily, I was able to call HV and easily reschedule my appointment to 5/25 with no problems! Upon my arrival, I was immediately greeted with a cold water and directed to my massage chair. I waited for about 10 minutes before a nail tech came over and started my treatment, which was no problem for me at all, but both the technician and the manager on duty were so apologetic and even added on extra time to my leg massage to make up for it! The way everyone goes above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction is what makes the prices at HV worth it. I was super impressed with my gel pedicure and my acrylic manicure, and I especially appreciated that the nail techs asked me several times throughout the process to make sure I liked everything. The design I got turned out even better than the inspo pic from Pinterest, and they have lasted over 2 weeks with no chipping or breaking! HV Nails is certainly on the pricier side, but trust me when I say you get your money's worth!

It is absurdly expensive for the quality of work you receive, especially for pedicures. I got a standard pedicure, which was a pretty bare bones package of a lotion massage, hot towel, and regular polish. It was definitely not worth the over-$50 price tag. My acrylic manicure was equally disappointing. I wanted the color of my nails to match my toes, but the nail color was much brighter than the toe color and didn't look the same at all. I pointed this out to the nail tech, but all she told me was, "well it says the same name on the bottle so they're the same color." Furthermore, the design I was given looked nothing like the inspiration picture I showed to the nail tech--it was much sloppier and not even close to what I wanted. Look at the attached photo to see the flower "design" I had to pay extra for. Plus, my nails started chipping not even a week into having the set! I will not return to Luxury Nails, and I recommend trying places like Patrick Nails or HV Nails Studio if you want a higher quality experience.

Yes, they make you wash hands as soon as you arrive, which is a good practice. The chair is awesome with the back massage, or shiatsu. The foot bath is nice. The pedicure was OK, but my feet were really beat up, so he did the best he could. I decided to go with his recommendation for Gel polish, so it'll last longer. I know the other will last a while anyway. When that was done, then I was passed on to Mindy for the manicure.... she worked with me on the color choice, and it looks nice. My hands are all beat up too with gardening and manual labor (housework). Then she noticed that I could benefit from getting my eyebrows done. So they will still look natural. But my eyes and makeup will look better? Besides, what's another $12 when I'm already there and doing all this self care? She took me in the back, and voila, it's much, much better. Made an appointment 45 minutes in advance vs. walking in on a Sunday, and the entire experience was surprisingly pleasant. They are very efficient and nice. They keep pretty busy.
