Service here is excellent. Really goes above and beyond to accommodate their customers. Brought my daughter here to her a mani and pedi and it took her forever to pick the colors she wanted. The owner was super patient with her bringing her the colors to try. At first she didn't like the way the colors looked on her mani and the technician redid the mani after already doing three of her nails. I've been coming here for about 2 years and I always try to come when I'm in the neighborhood. I love getting the P1 pedicure package. So many add on perks and so worth it. I always look forward to the free 10 min massage that comes with it in addition to the 10 mins leg massage. Come checks this place out. I haven't had a bad technician yet. By far the worst place I've gotten acrylics done. I asked for them almond shaped and they were filed so poorly that they look uneven and too round. Absolutely atrocious service. I came in wanting an acrylic fill-in and was seated immediately, great. The woman starts working on removing my gel polish and starts to absolutely WRECK my natural nails. I tell her numerous times that she is burning me because she is holding the e-file to close to hard to long to my nail. I had to keep pulling my hand away and this woman had the nerve to roll her eyes at me. I took a picture before she moved on to the next step. What i should have done was leave at that point. But my mistake i stayed and let her apply to acrylic. So she's globing it on and I'm trying to trust the process. She starts to file again with the tool and I'm looking cause at this point I don't trust the process. I see that the nails are looking all sorts of crazy the profile of the nail is like what you would find if you looked up the worst manicure on google. She then asks me if it's good. I look her dead in the face and say no... look at the shape. The man at the desk starts listening and then comes over to take a look and tells her to fix it I'm assuming because she starts again filing away and then asks me again if they are ok. And at this point I'm like ARE WE LOOKING AT THE NAME NAILS?!!! I tell her no not really but i was about to settle for them. Cause i was tired of telling this woman how to do this. At this point the man again steps in again cause I'm not happy. He moved her and takes over and this man is a wiz. I am watching. Him wondering why TF he isn't the one doing the nails. He had this woman with absolutely no skill destroying the nails I've been growing for months!!! I'm beyond pissed and this isn't even the icing on the cake. I decide the get paint and do a chrome and it required black first. The manicure is almost done and I'm noticing that as she's applying the chrome the polish is looking bumpy. This shit didn't cure and i only was able to know for sure because it literally peeled off in less than a day and all the raw i cured gel was getting all over my shit. I do not recommend this place for anyone. Unless you get the man who seems to be paying attention the woman i got is not worth it. I think they gave me a discount but i just wanted out because she was abusing the shit out of cuticles my nailbed and did a shit job in general. I left bruised and bleeding. Literally. read more

If you're looking for a basic manicure than yes this is the place but if you're looking for designs I'd recommend going else where no one knows how to do anything but a basic color. they need more practice when it comes to meeting the needs of people who like to be different. Although prices for gel pedicure and manicure are a little cheaper than some; You get what you pay for, the S&S chipped not even a day later. They over lap appointments assign more than one person at the same scheduled time, then rudely tell you to sit down and wait, when you ask to see colors owner (male) very rude and said wait I'm busy sit down to me again! . Then after waiting in the front a 1/2 hour I was taken to sit down in a spa chair to just wait an extra half hour with still 4 people ahead of me. after waiting 45 minutes and still no sign of getting my 4:00pm pedicure; at 5pm I walked out with the contents of my box i had purchased from previous owners. You get what you pay for, poor customer service, Another past experience; when asking for a color they very rudely answered when I wanted a dark purple, she said "u get black instead!" I answered No I want purple and she rolled her eyes, I had to chose a different color. Poor quality S&S manicure my daughter got a chip S&S nail on the 1st day they were done. I Would not recommend this place, soo many nail salons in long beach that actually want your business and treat you nicely. This salon is for people that want GREAT nails and no nonsense. I recommend calling before going because they're usually busy. horrible experience i got a pedicure here. I usually do my nails myself , but i was treated by a friend ! so i just went along with it. the lady kept cutting my cuticles after i asked her to only push them back now i have one toe that is really red. i am going to the doctor asap! i doesn't look like anything gets deeply clean and i should of went with my gut instinct, but i didn't want to offend my friend . . . let's just say i won't be getting a pedicure from a place like this ever again. i wish the health department would make more of an effort to monitor salons! read more

I was walking home from the train one day and decided to try this spot because the deals in the window just couldn't be beat. I figured - how bad can it be? I envisioned finding a secret dream spot so close to home that I could just walk over and get my nails done any time. Nope, not the case. Upon walking in I saw that the place had customers (a good sign) and was seated. The chair was pretty old and the place didn't feel too sanitary but I went along with it...for a great price, how much could I expect? Besides I don't really have much to do with my nails rather than a good cut and polish. The manicure was ok - not that great, and the person that did my nails rushed through the whole thing and then got annoyed that I asked her to remove the nail polish from around my fingernails (on my skin)...but ok. But what made this review only get one star? I went in the back room (and a kind of scary, weird back room at that) to get a facial that came with the mani/pedi deal. I waited for a while and only when the person came in did I realize that I had been waiting because I guess I interrupted her lunch. To make a long story short, she didn't wash her hands and probably had some fish for lunch....I asked her to wash her hands and she nodded and laughed so I basically endured what was the most disgusting facial of my life (basically rubbed thick lotions on my face and removed with tissues along with a little steaming) while holding my breath the entire time. As much as I want to hide this nail salon from the world because it's never too crowded, I would hate for them to go around with such a low Yelp rating and, heaven forbid, go out of business. They have the SNS powder manicure (kind of like acrylic powder, but colored). I am on 4 WEEKS and only had to get one nail replaced because I literally slammed it in a car door. They have a huge selection of colors and also do french. I work with my hands constantly (I work at a dog shelter on the weekends) and it stayed intact the entire time. I one hundred percent recommend this salon. The owner (I think) was so pleasant and she was the one who recommended the SNS manicure. It costs only $5 more than the gel which I peel off in literally a week. Cleanliness was good. I am usually one to notice a dirty nail salon and had no complaints. Very, very happy with my experience and will be going back after work this week! Did I mention they are open until 7:30PM and don't rush you out? EDIT: although the ownership has changed, I think Park Avenue Nails has improved even more. They are still fantastic at SNS manicure, so much so that my sister-in-law drives from Queens just to get her SNS at Park Ave. The salon is clean, they are quick yet very meticulous. I've had three different people do my nails (although Lily is my favorite) and all three techs did a fantastic job. read more

I came here a few times, staff was very friendly and nice. Although I never got a regular manicure pedicure there before I have gotten acrylic nails put on, but they don't last long. When they simply paint the nail and dip it in the power that's always bad news- the nails just fly off unexpected. This happened to me with 2 nails within a week to 2 weeks of getting my nails done. In experience with other salons, I've had my nails stay on for a month with no issues (except a needed fill in)!! I did return to get the 2 nails fixed without charge, but it didn't change the fact that they do a poor job from the start. read more
