Unfortunately I haven't been able to get my hair done at this location because multiple stylists have cancelled on me with short notice. If a stylist is unable to roll out of bed for a Sunday morning appointment and has to cancel on their client 30 minutes before their scheduled appt, that speak volumes. Very unprofessional and I will no longer try scheduling appts here in the future. Please do better. read more

Before moving away 8 years ago this was the only place I would get my haircut at. Now that I have moved back home I have already been in once for a cut. This place has tons of talented, professional employees eager to make sure you leave happy. I have even set up appointments here for my niece to get a hair cuts or hair dyed. This place is super reliable, adhering to all Covid protocols and relatively short scheduling wait times. I personally think that they have super reasonable price points and have staff from stylist to master stylist. I have never used their spa or nails but if its anything like their haircuts you can't go wrong. I recommend this place to all my friends and family. read more

Not one sign is posted stating how much the liters all over the store are. Not one of the 4 people in the front spoke a word, even after walking past us 3-4 times as we wandered around looking for one simple sign with a price. Not one person in the back/salon area spoke a word to us as they gossiped amongst themselves. I'm sure their all disgruntled since clearly the air conditioning is broke; it was just as hot in there as it was outside. At least Ulta acts like their interested in your business from the moment you walk in til the moment you leave. I'll just stick with them. read more

I'm a little spoiled in the hair department because my Mama has her Missouri Hair Stylist license and I grew up on all the "good" shampoos. Nothing is better than a Southern Belle with silky hair and hot pink lip stick. (So I've been told.) Well when I moved to Illinois my hair couldn't wait on my trips to Southern Missouri to visit Mama. So I went in here with at least an idea of what I like. I had great service almost every time I've been here. They also have their semi-annual liter sale which makes their shampoo/ conditioners way more affordable. I particularly like Biolage products, but will occasionally buy Redken. If they have "It's a 10" leave in conditioner I would get it. It's really good for your hair. Great hair place to go to. Wide variety of services. I've been going to Kassie Helfrich for quite some time now but Sarah sparrow and Bambi are All great stylist too ! I recommend them all. Got my son in last minute with Bambi. She was very nice and didn't seem annoyed because it was a " child's haircut" which we've gotten before at other salons. She was attentive, talkative & was soft spoken with him which was very nice. Also, they had there $7.99 hairspray sale which got me but can't beat the price! I haven't been to beauty brands in a very long time. My recent trip here was really nice! I love what they did with their store. They've added more products which is great! Products were all quite spendy and the associate I interacted with at the counter was rude. I left the products I was going to purchase at the counter and left. The past few times I have been here I have almost always encountered an associate who seemed less than thrilled to be there or seemed bothered when I asked for assistance. read more

I came in on recommendation to see raychel for my next hair cut. Raychel did an amazing job and was over the top friendly and full of personality. The chairs were comfy, I guess to help with cost of the cut which is quite a bit higher than most places but the stylists personality made up for it and everything was good in the world again when I walked out. They also do tanning, waxing and all your nails here.......I did go all out and try everything but the people walking in for it seemed to be repeat customers because the other stylists New them by name. read more

Jason is my stylist. I've had a couple haircuts and a full color service with him so far. He listens to what I want and has done a great job on my hair! I was greeted immediately upon entering the store (for some reason, this is a huge deal to me) and asked if I needed help. As soon as southern Illinois gets into the warmer months, my skin decides it hates me and turns into a pepperoni pizza, so I definitely needed all the help I could get. Fortunately for me, Philosophy (one of my favorite brands) just came out with a clay mask/cleanser called Total Matteness that sucks up all your facial oil without drying your pores. I was completely sold. As I walked around for a little while, I noticed they were having a huge sale on salon brand hair sprays...I believe all of them were $8 per bottle. I absolutely adore Big Sexy Hair, so I picked up two bottles of their hair spray as well...if you want a large mass of concrete you call your hair, this is the stuff for you (honestly, unless you're military, I can't imagine how this would be appealing, but I digress...) Lastly, I saw the best lotion ever created: Hempz. A jar of this heavenly cream can easily set you back $15 and it was on sale for $8. After being cashed out by the woman who had informed about about the clay cleanser and signed me up for their membership program, I walked out of Beauty Brands so thankful I walked in. read more

I am very pleased with Beauty Brands salon services at the Shiloh store. My hairdresser understands the geometry of a haircut and it has been consistently good. If you have very short hair it pays to ask which hairdresser likes to cut short hair on women when you first make your appointment. Not all hairdressers are equally good at short haircuts for women. I have also gotten a pedicure there and I was pleased with both the pedicure and the cleanliness of the station. The nail tech explained that they had to clean the station immediately so that it could sit for 15 minutes between customers so it would be properly disinfected. They are more expensive than many of the other nail places but I need to feel secure in the sanitation procedures. You can get some unfortunate germs from places that don't take that seriously. read more

I was recommended a stylist by the name of Nikki and I told her what I wanted done and she did it to perfection.
