I love it here although my pockets don't...the salon is clean and the staff is friendly..They really use nice products and I've never left empty handed. I've tried cuts, color and style and I've never been disappointed

TL:DR I came in wanting one thing and got something else completely different and the stylist didn't attempt to remedy the situation at all just ushered me out the door. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received here. I came in with a grown out white blonde balayage and all I wanted was a refresh. I showed the guy the picture and he said I wanted highlights and told the receptionist to schedule me for highlights. I thought it was weird but said nothing because he is the expert and as long as he has the reference picture it should be fine. The first picture is what I asked for. The second and third pictures are what I got. And the last picture is what I had prior to the appointment. He turned me around in the chair to face the mirror and asked me what I thought. I asked if there was anyway to make it lighter. He asked if I meant the highlighted sections or everything and I said everything. He then said I should get a balayage. He then handed me my purse and started on his "thank you for coming" spiel basically kicking me out. I ended up at the front counter where the receptionist asked me what I thought. I said he said we need a balayage because it's not what I wanted. At the point an older woman stepped into the conversation, presumably the owner or manager. She is the only one who attempted to remedy the situation. She said that in between today and the next session that I need to use conditioning treatment to add moisture and not mess with the color so he has a base to work with. Either way I'm extremely disappointed. I had a reference picture, got something completely different, and was rushed out the door when I expressed dissatisfaction. I wasn't listened to and won't be returning.

From crazy ombré back to a natural looking blonde! Thank you, Paige!

I am extremely lazy with my hair but very VERY picky with my hair coloring/style. I have left salons crying before even though I'm really straight forward with what I want done. Paige didn't mess around. She was very sweet and had a super pleasant personality. I got full highlights to lighten my hair back to blonde and idk how, but she did it wonderfully! My hair was ombred with 2 totally different shades going on and it looks SEAMLESS now. Thank you so so much Paige! I should note, sorry for the low quality pic I am posting. I'm in my bathroom at home and I just can't wait to show off my hair to my coworkers. I will definitely be returning!

I've been going to V Vegaz for about 5 years and everyone there has always treated me very well and have done amazing things with my hair. I came in with fried, bleach blonde hair and in the last few years the stylists have gotten my hair healthy again and given me every crazy color I asked for (within reason). The shop is so nice and made me feel at home with its creepy cool decor. This last weekend I had my hair and make up done for my wedding and it was absolutely perfect. This is THE shop to go to in St Louis, especially if you have an alternative style.

The cut and color was perfect! Unfortunately, it's growing too fast! Will get in again!

One of my sisters was getting married and the hair stylist working her hair did an amazing job. Her hair looked better than her original hair trial! Her hair was perfectly curled and the accessories the bride brought were added exactly as she wanted. Her hair lasted the entire wedding perfectly! The stylist who did my hair was perfect for me! She was so friendly and a little chatty which I loved! I had asked for a sleek bridesmaid bun. She took my requests (straight instead of curled, simple and smooth but cute, etc) very well. It was everything I had expected perfectly executed. Amazing customer service as well. The issue where I could not give 5 stars is for my other sister's hair. She was the other bridesmaid and her hair was supposed to be a simple bridesmaid bun with some curls. The stylist (I believe named Alexis) was 15mins late and did a horrible job with her hair. It was loose, messy, and did not look professional. Lots of flyaways - like she didn't use any hairspray or something. Her curls fell flat right away when we got into the car. Picture of her finished hair is attached. I'm not sure what happened- it looked like she just gave up and tried to wrap the last piece of hair around the bun without securing it. We are so disappointed with her experience. To top it off, the stylist was not even friendly. She seemed upset to be working at all. No customer service from her. Unfortunately we were on a timed schedule that we couldn't get it redone.

This review is for my girls with thick textured hair like myself. I am a mixed race woman with…read morethick curly hair. It can be difficult to find a stylist who can straighten my hair without excessive heat, resulting in a strong smell of being "burnt". I was very specific about my hair type when I called to make this appointment and I was assured that they had Stylist who knew how to work on textured hair. When I arrived for my appointment, I met Alli and after a conversation I felt comfortable that she could handle my hair and give me what I was looking for making me feel very comfortable. The shop itself is bright and clean and the splashes of yellow from the styling tools just made it feel refreshing. I was surprised by the fact so many hairdryers were being used, but it wasn't a smoky air. I took a photo as a reference of what I was looking for as the end result, and Alli did asked me to leave the photo open so she could reference it as she styled my hair and she did not disappoint. After a shampoo and a gloss treatment, my hair felt and smelled amazing. Her blow dry skills were excellent leaving me with the light and fluffy hair that I was looking for. She then took the curler and gave me a head full of curls, giving me the bouncy flowy head of hair I so desired. I was amazed at the outcome, completely satisfied with the style, service and the price. The entire experience was wonderful, and I highly recommend Alli and the Drybar in Clayton. I failed to take a photo as I was in a rush to get home, but trust and believe I will definitely be back.

They were running behind, which was totally fine, so I waited. This was my first time coming here and I was excited to try it. When I got to the chair around 5:10, I clearly asked for a blowout with big volume, pin-up curls using a round brush and rollers. I only ended up with about three rollers in my hair, nothing was pinned up, and my hair kept getting stuck in the round brush. My hair ended up very flat, which was the opposite of what I asked for. She then started curling random pieces with an iron, which confused me because I specifically asked for a blowout style. The whole time it felt like there was confusion about what service I wanted, even though I explained it clearly. I left feeling disappointed and like I didn't receive the service I asked for, especially for my first visit. I wish I could of got a complete refund because It was nothing I had asked for and honestly I could of done a better job myself with just a blow dryer and brush bc it looked like no one touched my hair.

I went to this salon because a stylist I had been seeing for over a year moved here. She had been maintaining my cherry cola color for about a year, and when she moved to The Boulevard, I told her I wanted to start the process of going back to my natural level 6 brown. I understood that removing red is a process and specifically told her I was completely fine doing it over multiple appointments. I also asked if we could keep the first appointment within a certain timeframe because I had dinner plans, and she agreed. My appointment was scheduled for noon. When I arrived, I sat alone for 30 minutes without being greeted, consulted, or acknowledged by anyone before my stylist finally came over. The appointment ultimately lasted 7 hours, and I had bleach on my hair for approximately 3 hours. When I left, my hair was severely damaged. In fact, my stylist knew it didn't look right because as I was leaving, she told me to "wear a ponytail to dinner." That is not something you say to a client who just spent hundreds of dollars and received a successful service. I have since shown photos from that appointment to other licensed cosmetologists, and multiple have told me the damage was evident as soon as the foils came out. I have always taken excellent care of my hair, use professional products, and have never experienced damage like this. My hair is now rough, difficult to manage, and completely different from how it felt before. I can't run my fingers through it, my natural texture is gone, and it is genuinely unrecognizable to me. I was so upset that I spent the entire weekend crying and had to miss work on Monday. When I called the salon Monday morning, I was told the owner would contact me. I never received a call. When I called back two hours later, the owner suddenly answered. She offered a free treatment if I came in immediately, but the first thing she said to me in person was, "It's not that bad." After spending two days devastated over the condition of my hair, that was incredibly dismissive and upsetting to hear. The owner then told me that the original stylist would perform my next treatment and that I could pay for a new color service. I explained that after what happened, I believed I deserved both a refund and a corrective color service. The stylist refused a refund, and offered the color service for free. I agreed to this, and then stylist put red back on my hair, leaving me looking almost exactly as I did before I started this process, except now my hair is badly damaged and I am out $700. I came to this salon because I trusted my stylist and trusted the salon to guide me through this process responsibly. Instead, I have walked out feeling worse every single time. The most disappointing part is that the owner never apologized, never took accountability, and never made a meaningful attempt to make this right. I wish I had never come here. I am now left paying for the damage done to my hair, and multiple people who have seen the condition of it have told me I should pursue legal action because of how severe the damage is.
