I was cutting it close looking for an appointment the same morning of the wedding I'd be attending. I saw that there was a a ton of options right nearby my hotel and I, almost randomly, picked one off Yelp. Epic Hair Studio is located in this massive building/hub of salons that they call Salon Republic. At first I worried it would be difficult to find your specific salon once you enter, however they make it very easy. There's a receptionist at the front who can walk you or direct you to the correct room. Or, like in my case, your hair stylist will be waiting at the front for you. I am so happy I went with Epic Hair Studio because Christen is amazing! She was kind enough to work with me on my early morning time request and my hair ending up looking great! I just wanted a few inches off and a better shape to my bangs. It has been about a month and I'm loving how she made my bangs look! Also, she's also such a sweetheart. I was feeling a bit stressed that morning with my rush to get ready for the wedding, but once I got chatting with Christen I was feeling at ease in no time. I genuinely wish Christen could be my regular hair stylist because I know I'd be able to trust her with all my hair needs.

I wanted it much chunkier and more blonde and after going back three times to have her try and correct it. Had much darker hair than I originally started with the third photo my hair was so much lighter than it is now how the heck can that happen???? . When I specifically told her and showed her more chunky & more blonde!! Not DARKER!!! Three ridiculously long sessions for three days seriously??. And after spending $200 including product. So needless she absolutely deserves this review she should've actually given me 100% of my money back knowing that I was not happy with her incompetence!

She also made a few suggestions to make my hair fuller that were helpful, but she was not pushy about them. While the waiting for the conditioner to "sit" she gave me a little scalp massage which was great. She also told me the purpose of each product she used on my hair but I didn't get any sales pitch on buying anything. That is usually my other pet peeve about salons. I made an appointment but the sign on the window said "Walk-ins Welcome". Overall, I'm very happy with my hair, and it was a very positive, pleasant, experience. Nice relaxed atmosphere. PS, the salon is located in a small business office building so it is easy to drive by it. Look for a small brown building that says Supreme Offices. It is on the lower floor toward the back.

Nikay (Nicole) is the one who cut my hair and…read moreafter a thorough talk where I showed two reference photos and explained that I wanted more shaping and layers but to maintain my overall length so to only cut off 2 - 2 1/2 inches (THIS WAS MEANT TO BE A TRIM AND SHAPING) she instead took 6 inches off of my hair. I have now lost half of my length that I spent 10 years growing out and I am beyond devastated. This same hairdresser now claims that this is in fact what I asked for and that she actually tried to tell me not to go shorter. Absolutely disgusting service. Upon calling for a refund, I was treated rudely, told that I was lucky that my reference picture was not followed and that the way my hair was cut was in fact what I asked for. I was even told that the way it was cut was a "conservative" decision. My hair should have been cut HOW I ASKED NOT WHAT YOU THOUGHT WAS IN MY "BEST INTEREST". I was offered half a refund if I took my reviews down. Alongside this, my before photos all apparently aren't accurate by their standards and the difference between before and after is in fact 2 inches..I would rather everyone know how bad of an experience I had than get my money back. I will gladly never return!
