I did a lot of research on lash lifts and lash extensions and decided the lift was the best way to go for me as they are low maintenance and have a smaller chance of making my lashes fall out lol. I got to experience this beautiful lady's technique about a week ago for a lash lift and brow wax. At first I was a little worried because it had been so long since my brows have been waxed about a little more than 2 years only because I always break out. I was looking for places that does eyelash extensions and I couldn't pinpoint which one I wanted to go to because either it is close to home but has bad reviews or driver farther but has good reviews. Somehow I came across Beauty by Davonna and the first thing that caught my eye is the lash lift service. Extensions are high maintenance and can be expensive. So when I found out that lash lift is available, I instantly messaged her and booked via her website for the next day. However, she messaged me back that she couldn't do them the next day because she was still waiting for her supplies to come in. Because of that she offered to do my lash tint for free for the inconvenience. Which is a big plus for me because it shows me that she values her customers. The next day her supplies came in early and she let me know that she could take me that same day I initially wanted to go. Flash forward, prior to the process, Devonna talked to me about the lash lift & tint and made sure that I understood everything about it. She is so knowledgeable and I appreciated that she takes her time with her customers. My lashes came out beautiful and better than I expected. I have had 4 overall treatments with Davonna . My first treatment I felt a little ripped off because she required a "consultation " for a basic facial , which took time out of my overall appointment. I felt uneasy booking again , but I preferred to support a black business, so I gave her another chance . I had 1 regular facial and 1 microdermabrasion and 2 acne peels , overall I didn't see the results I was looking for . My skin looked a little smooth , but my hyperpigmentation did not soften up . 2 weeks ago , I booked a appointment for acne peel plus microdermabrasion. I was really excited to do a harsher treatment because my skin has never been this bad before and I just want this nightmare to be over . I followed her on ig and she said clearly " All clients be on time today because she is booked " . So I was 20 mins early . I get there and all I hear is her talking to her client when my appointment has passed. After 10 mins of waiting for her to finish her conversation, we greeted and I asked her " what time will you be finished today " she says "oh, it'll only be a hour" I said " well I need to know because I don't have my car and I need to tell my boyfriend when to come and get me" . This is when all hell broke loose . I will be honest I should have not stayed and conversed with her for the whole appointment . She apologized , but in my heart If it was sincere she would have offered a discounted appointment if free one . She told me I should have been more understanding since she used extra products on me, which I wasn't even aware of. And she told me that I have never dealt with her being late and Said I should have been more understanding on that as well. At the end of the conversation I cried a lot. I have been very stressed out with my personal relationships and school and this time was my time to relax and this was unfair of her to not be professional. She comes off sweet but that's when she is in the mood . Pros: cute environment, decent prices for what you receive Cons: must enjoy conversation, doesn't change sheets on the bed , product take long to see results and must be patient if she is behind . My advice if she is late is to reimburse or apply a discount because if you are late your appointment will be dismissed and charged the full amount. Seems fair to me . read more

It was my first time going to Davonna yesterday and I got a lash lift. If I can give a 0 star I would and need to. My lashes was super healthy until Davonna worked on them. I get to my appointment on time but she was 20minutes behind with her clients and I was fine with it but I was already hesitant. When she gave me a mirror to look at my lashes after processing my lashes looked shorter and some fell out but I didn't say anything. I also got my eyebrows waxed and on my left brow I have 2 cuts looked like my skin pulled off I don't know how. I get home 30 minutes later and my lashes looked horrible as the pictures shows and proved damages. They were over processed. I emailed Davonna to know what went wrong but I never got a respond. Yeah, she seems super caring and said all the words you wanna hear. I absolutely enjoyed my experience with Davonna! The aura of her suite is so calming and welcoming. Very clean, neat, organized and smelled nice. I was serviced with an eyelash lift and upper lip wax. She started with my wax. It was my first time getting my "mustache" waxed. She took her time and explained to me the process and type of wax she would be using. She made sure I was comfortable, even though I was naturally tense.
