I happened to come here with a group of younger kids while looking for new clippers and the owner lady literally went "this store is not for play," despite us being very respectful and not messing with any of the merchandise. She proceeded to follow us for the next five minutes and kept smacking her gum really loudly while having her arms crossed. The store is fairly large, well kept, and organized and if they don't have something they are always willing to order it for you. At least that's been my experience. The lady followed me and my daughter everywhere the moment we stepped in and wouldn't allow my daughter to touch anything at all. First she said she didn't want her touching the comb because the end was sharp and can hurt her. Fine. Then she got mad at my daughter for picking up a head band because "she can break it". Are you kidding me??? I was already fed up so I quickly picked up a small hair tool and went to check out. As I'm pulling out my phone to pay through Apple Pay, the man asked if I have cash instead. BEAUTY SUPPLY STORE, NO SALON DETECTED! I ended up here by default on the day after New Year's because every other place I visited was closed. Beauty Depot is actually a beauty supply store and not a salon as the heading would indicate. These types of places are popping up everywhere but I like those that make me feel overwhelmed with their inventory. I would much rather have too many than too few options. I stopped in to replace some basic hair care products and wanted to explore other options. I was very impressed with their wig selection. They have a private area off the main floor which is very nice because it provides privacy and discretion for those who prefer it. Although, I don't wear wigs, I love just looking at them and touching them. I especially enjoyed coaxing my husband into admitting that some of them were really cute because he was very uncomfortable sitting in the wig chair watching me admire the heads. An employee came through to offer assistance but was informed that we were just looking and allowed us to do so unbothered. This store has everything you could possibly need when it comes to hair styling. They have a great selection of products for natural and relaxed hair, various options to assist you with different styles, (buns, braids, ponytails, extensions) and an endless selection of colors and textures for finding your perfect match. In addition to hair care products, they also have hair care tools and accessories, jewelry and make-up products. Check out was simple and easy and now that I know this store is here, I will definitely be stopping by when I am in the area. Not customer friendly and when I called to ask about products in stock, I was told they could not look or tell me the price of what I was looking although I stated I was traveling over an hour and the purchase was for someone else so needed an estimate on if they had it and the cost. They rather miss out on having a paying customer than to simply do their job and help over the phone. For that and as working in the hair industry, I would NOT RECOMMEND this store to anyone. Terrible experience I had shop there once or twice with no issue went and made a purchase for an item and when I got home it had been opened and it was not what I wanted not damaged at all but not what I wanted so I try to exchange it they refused because they said it had been opened it had a snap opening it was a plastic container bag it was the way I purchased it and all I wanted was to exchange it for another more expensive item and they refused. Now I'll have to let the bank take over and dispute the charge I will never do business with them again and I recommend that no one else does either read more

I come here when I am in town for anything that I need for my hair. I went yesterday to find a heat protectant spray. Immediately when we walked into the store the lady that worked there was on us like white on rice! She asked if we needed help; I said no thank you. My boyfriend and I were talking about the bonnet that I needed, and she interrupted our conversation to tell us where the bonnets were. Why are you listening to our conversation?? When we didn't go to the area that the bonnets were, she reiterated where they were. Then I had one hair spray and decided to put it down and got another one. While I was in line waiting to pay for it, the same lady comes and asks "Where did you put the spray you had in your hand?" So, I took it as she thought I was trying to steal a $1.99 bottle of hair spray. WILL NOT BE BACK.
