If you're looking for a fancy ambiance.. this place isn't for you. BUT, if you're looking for quality work with great, long lasting product, then book your appointment! A few pros- these ladies are very friendly, and do EXACTLY what you want. They made room in their schedule to fit in a full set for me when I only had a pedicure appointment booked. I showed Ivy a picture of what I wanted and she KILLED IT!! I didn't have too high of expectations, and I was pleasantly surprised with the outcome! And my nails have lasted WEEKS longer than I expected. Also, prices are great!! Very affordable! Cons- not a huge selection of polishes. They have a very random selection, but I did manage to find the nail color I was hoping for. I'd suggest bringing in your own polish if your picky about your polish color(like me). Another con was the atmosphere, they had soccer playing on the TV, and for a mostly female clientele, it was a bit of a turn off. Updated review: I called the salon and mentioned my concerns because I could not shake what happened, but I didn't want my money back. I just wanted the owner to fix the appearance of the nails. Ivy, did a great job painting and reshaping some of the acrylics. Despite the prior short comings, this salon has just about earn my business back with their friendliness and willingness to make things right with me. Will be coming back! Prior Review: They only get more than 1 star because Ma(?) did my pedicure so beautifully and she deserved 5 stars. But I am so appalled with my acrylic service. My nail tech cut me and made me bleed several times. She was also very rough, which I can usually handle, but slicing clients open should not happen. I usually give the benefit of the doubt since people make mistakes, but I should have just walked out and not paid for the acrylics after the 2nd cut, but the service was already 80% done. Unfortunately she also does not know how to paint nails well either She missed a good portion of my nails that I had her correct, but that turned into her painting onto my skin at that point. She had short hair & glasses & was really sweet but she just does not know how to paint nails!!! She just blobbed the paint onto my nails & couldn't stay on the nail or didn't clean the outer sides very well. Everything came out uneven on my nails & bubbles everywhere. Then when she did my manicure she started the paint so far from my cuticle it looked like I needed a fill already. I have been going to Beauty Square salon for over 5 years and never had any issues. The service is great and all the Ladies are very nice. I know if I wasn't happy with manicure or pedicure the ladies would fix it for me in a heart beat. I have seen customers come in because they messed up their manicure or pedicure and the ladies would fix it even if they had to remove all the polish off their finger or toes. BAD! Got a pedicure with my guy friend (it was his first time) and it was so painful. I called ahead of time, and made an appointment and when I got there they needed 20 mins because they forgot about us, and then they only had one person work on both of us....then took another like 15 mins to set up...it took close to 2.5 hours just for basic pedicures. If they didn't have the time, I'd rather them tell me than to make us wait so much before and in between...He only got his toe nails cut and shaped that's the sad thing...like I've seen guys go in and they only take like 15 mins on them at other salons. I got gel so it doesn't make sense why'd that take that long. Yes the older woman was sweet, her work didn't make up for any of it though because she made BOTH of our big toe nails BLEED, now I think my toe is infected. Redness and inflammation means infection. He was in pain as well. At the end I paid $58 (mine was a $36 gel pedicure but it was supposed to come with a gel manicure and since they had done that to me I decided not to trust her with my hands. Also didn't wanna make my friend wait another 2 hours or whatever, but SHE didn't even ask about my manicure she FORGOT ANYWAYS and when I mentioned it she acted like that wasn't their pricing...even though it's posted that a gel mani-pedi costs $36) -.- I just let them forget about my manicure. So yeah $58 to screw me over financially and with painful toes, waste my time and our bloody toes were uneven, and were badly shaped. OH! But the people were nice, lol. I have been coming to this salon for 13 years and have never had any issues. The service has always been great and the ladies are all friendly. While I was there today, some woman was unhappy with her gel manicure. She demanded to have the gel removed. The worker did as asked without a complaint and offered to redo it. The customer ranted about not having time, then wanted her toe polished removed because the red on her fingers and toes didn't match. Again, the worker did as asked. Before leaving, the customer wanted her money back for the pedicure and manicure. The owner returned her money without a complaint. All the while this crazy customer was ranting and raving about reporting them to the BBB and I'm thinking, "for what??" They did everything she asked and returned her money. Crazy lady leaves and calls 2 minutes later wanting her tip back. Owner says fine, come back and I'll give it to you. Crazy lady hangs up and calls back saying she is in the car and wants her tip brought to her because she is upset. The worker can't leaves and asks crazy lady to "please come inside." She comes inside and won't give the owner the opportunity to count the cash tip in front of her. She takes the money and leaves. She calls back a minute later and says it's one dollar short and she is going to report them. Can you say psycho!! Wow, never had seen this. Point of story, ladies are extremely helpful and accommodating to all reasonable and sane customers. read more

I'd written a review back in June of this year; regarding Beauty Square. Felt compelled to share another about Beauty Square so others are aware of how accommodating Beauty Square is. Yes, I am still quite pleased with how I am treated personally as well as physically; regarding my nails. If, the previous review was not read then one wouldn't really be aware of what's transpired when having work done at another nail salon in Canyon Country. I ended up leaving without having the nail polish placed on.. Due to the pain created by a careless Nail Stylist. I'd coined a phrase of "Nail Abuse" due to the chronic speed buffing via a sandpaper dremel drill & handheld sandpaper block. That continually scraped the edges of the nail bed *cuticle area* ~ Although mentioning kindly to be easy on one to many visits .. I chose to no longer pay for "Nail Abuse"... What I so enjoy with Beauty Square is their continued accommodating schedule ~ They are so appreciated not only for their professionalism & compassion when working with the nail beds, but their desire to meet your schedule, at a moments call. Let me start out by saying I have had many unpleasant nail salon experiences in the SCV. I am very reluctant to try new places in the area. I was actually referred to this is place by a very good friend, who is a regular customer. She told me that I should ask for Ivy or Tammy. I decided to get my nails done (acrylics) today, the day after Christmas. I called to ask if they were busy and see if Ivy was in. She just so happened to be the one who answered my call. She asked when I wanted to come in, I told her within 20 mins and she said that was okay. When I got there Ivy greeted me politely, and sat me right away. She is such a sweetheart!! I told her that my friend has recommended her and she was flattered. We chatted about our families and she made me feel very welcomed. She did an AMAZING job on my nails.
