Being from NY its always hard to find a good hairdresser, Before I found Amanda I had gone to another salon and they butchered my hair, and turned my hair green, panicking, I did some research and discovered the Amanda Covetskie Salon, I called Amanda and she saved my life, she stayed late at the salon for me and managed to get my green hair back to life, She is an amazing Artist, I have always left her salon feeling beautiful and oh so happy! I've been going to this salon for years, and at my most recent visit I booked an appt with the new stylist Thomas. I was looking for a lighter hair color, and he worked with me and knew exactly what shade of blonde would look best with my skin tone. I ended up with an amazing ombré golden blonde color that blends seamlessly with my brunette roots. I'm so happy with my new low maintenance look. I had my wedding hair and make up done at this salon, and I had the most amazing experience!! I felt so special. The owner shut down her salon for me, and my bridal party and I were treated like princesses. She let us bring in food and champagne as we got ready! And we looked amazing!!! First of all I am a very particular about my hair, unfortunately to my own detriment. I needed my hair cut and found Amanda here on Yelp, after seeing her reviews and how genuine they read I decided to give her a try. BOY! am I glad I did, she not only a great stylist, she is a wonderful person. Can't recommend this place enough! I am not from the area and was searching for a last-minute place that could do my hair and makeup for my wedding. Went with this place because it had no negative reviews. When talking beforehand, Amanda recommended some natural-looking fake eyelashes and told me where I could find them locally. But everywhere I went, those particular lashes were out of stock. When I showed up without them and she confirmed that I really did want them, she actually had a stylist go out and track some down in time to put them on during my appointment. Thanks, Amanda! I went to Deena for the first time last week and she was FANTASTIC! My hair hasn't been cut in months and I was so ready for a change. This is the right choice of salon for you if you want a beautiful, fun, full of talent, and passionate team working with you on your vision for your hair and makeup!! I called the day before going in to get a completely transformed look for a big Halloween surprise I was attempting to pull off. If it wasn't for Amanda and Deena there is no way I could have done it right!! I was about to buy a box black color to dye my hair from my natural dirty blonde. Amanda called me back in the nick of time and we discussed a much better option!! My mom and I went in the next day and Deena dyed, washed, and trimmed my hair from blonde to a perfect black. I wanted something that wasn't completely permanent, so Amanda and Deena came up with the right combo for me. I not only went to the salon on Thursday for my dye job, but went back Friday for my updo and makeup! Another upside- my mom got her hair dyed and highlighted by Akeila and it turned out amazing, just what she wanted. The up do Deena did for me was a combination of all the photos I had shown her of the character I was going for, but it also had Deena's undeniable original talent poured into it as well. I could not have been happier!! To finish off my look Amanda did my makeup and I was just blown away! Talk about true artistic talent to pull that off within a half hour, because I had to make it to the airport! With the time constraints and crazy last minute scheduling Amanda, Deena, and I laughed and smiled the entire two days- I am so happy to go see them again and so thankful for the wonderful job they did.
