This review is long, Long, LONG over due. I had my brows microbladed by Linda, the owner, back in 2016. It was definitely a financial investment. I contemplated over the decision for several weeks. Not mainly because of the cost, but first and foremost because I'm entrusting someone to mess with a part of my face. I researched and read several reviews about her and she received rave reviews over and over. I finally said "yes" and I'm so glad I did. First of all, she is incredibly nice and personable. Both qualities that are needed for this expensive service and how personal this service is. She was professional, on time, diligent and knowledgeable in her workmanship, and most importantly, her craft was perfection. I truly wish I still lived in the Houston area (besides the fact I simply miss Houston), as I would be a regular customer for my touch-ups. But...I can say....that 2 years after receiving my initial service and my single follow-up visit (a couple months after initial visit) and with no additional touch-ups, my microblading still looks great. I've received compliments on my brows, as they have always been very fine and not much to them. Linda helped make my brows more defined and fuller looking. I do still enhance my brows with brow cosmetics with the help of Linda, as I now have a guide to make my brows look awesome, especially after they've been threaded clean. Now the microblading part did hurt a bit. This might not be the case for everyone. I was on my cycle at the time and she said that may attribute to my sensitivity level (thinned out/the losing of blood), even with her using the numbing solution, which didn't help much. So I had to really tough it out. So ladies, in case it may make a difference for you too, don't go when it's that time of the month for you. I know this might be TMI for some people, but hey...it is what it is. Just keeping it real. Linda was very conscientious and sensitive to my tenderness. She was great - from A to Z. Oh...her office...which I'm not sure if she's in the same location or not, as I think she was considering on moving at the time. But it was spacious and very, very professional looking and super clean. So I'd not expect anything less if she did in fact relocate her practice. read more

Every time I look in the mirror, I am in shock and awe mode over Linda's excellent artistry! I was in a car accident when I was a child and resulting surgeries left me with a facial scar and a weird eyebrow that doesn't match the other. As far back as I can remember, I've always shaved off/ plucked my brows and filled them in the best I could with brow powder. Please don't ask to see my elementary school pictures! I've always been hesitant to have permanent eyebrows done because I didn't want the creepy clown look, but when I saw the images of the hair stroke technique posted on Beauty Techniques' website, I decided to go ahead and take the leap. Linda is a natural Picasso. I can't even tell that my eyebrows are not real "hair," and neither can ANYONE else! The overall procedure lasted about two hours with Linda testing out different eyebrow positions and sizes. The actual tattoo portion was pretty short. If you've ever had a tattoo, it's a little less painful than that. She does use numbing cream that takes a moment to fully kick in. I went in around 8 months ago to get my brows tattooed and I have mixed reviews about my experience here. For starters, she did not once ask me for a detailed explanation of what I wanted to get done. She spent the first part of the appointment prepping in silence, maybe some small talk here and there. Finally, after waiting to show her pictures or give her a description of what I'm going for, she asked me once simple question: "is that how you want your brows?" (Referring to how I had applied my brow makeup). I said yes and a she just went for it! I kept thinking she would ask me for details as she went. But not really. She traced the brow, I approved, and she just started tattooing. Maybe this is enough for some people but I figure that since I am TATTOOING MY FACE that there would be some sort of time reserved for absolute clarity. She didn't even ask to see a picture! She stopped a third of the way through for me to see how it looked so far and honestly, I wanted to cry. Was it horrible? No. But it felt "off" to me. You know that nagging feeling you get when you put on your makeup and it's just NOT coming out how you want it? That was the feeling. Except I couldn't just wash it off and start over. Anyways, obviously at that point all I could do is tell her to adjust this and adjust that but it just wasn't 100%. The worst part is that after she was done (and I was really trying to make the most of it and stay positive) one of her only comments was "Well I think they are way too thick but that's just me". Keep in mind I have naturally thick brows but they just aren't so full so I mostly just wanted to make them look a little denser. The fact that she said that AFTER she TATTOOED them on me felt really harsh! Especially since I just dropped a few hundred dollars to get something I wasn't fully in love with. I realllllllly wanted to love my experience (especially for the price!) but I just think that it could have gone better! I should have spoken up and not assumed she would get around to asking me. So again, I just feel I wanted more out of my appointment and in retrospect I think I can finally admit that I regret it :( Hate to say it! read more

Please be careful. I was looking for a good cosmetic tattoo place so I went online and read so many wonderful reviews on Linda and her talent as a permanent tattoo artist. After reading so many positive reviews about Linda , I decided to get my eyebrows done by her. I noticed that when she was doing the tattooing it did not really hurt. But I thought well she must really be great. After she finished my eyebrows ,they looked great. I was so happy that I even hugged her. She charged me $400.00. I knew that it was a high price to pay but I thought at least it was a job well done. I was happy for 3 days and after that the color started to come off. My eyebrows were exactly the same as before Linda had tattooed them. Then I started to realize what she had done. She had not penetrated the epidermis of my skin and that is why the tattoo was so painless, she just had put a superficial layer of color on my eyebrows and this color fell off after 3 days. They say that you learn from your mistakes. I also went to get my hair cut from this person that had so many great reviews online and it was the most expensive and the worst hair cut ever. I have learned the hard way that the more wonderful reviews someone has online, the more you need to be careful. Could it be that they compensate for their lack of talent by either having friends or companies write great reviews about them? When I find a place that I am very satisfied with I keep going back to that same place and I also tell my friend and family about it. I usually do not think of going online and writing a good review about it. But when I feel frustrated and helpless and I feel like I have been cheated by someone and that there is nothing I can do about it, I will go online and write about my bad experience so that I feel like at least there is one thing I could do to take up for myself and also to help others so that hopefully they will not get cheated. read more

If you are looking for eyebrow extensions to reshape or fill in your sparse brows (whether that be from over plucking all the way to chemo)... Do not go here. The service was fine... But I was left with drawn on thin line looking brow extensions. When asked if I could have them thicker... I was told that there would be no point because they wouldn't adhere to my skin for long. FALSE. I have since learned that brow extensions are meant to be glued/applied directly to your skin. You can achieve a look as full as you want or in any shape you want. After going here, and then to another technician at another salon, I would say the results are not even comparable. Do yourself a favor. Go see Danielle at Eye Candy Lashes on Washington. She is a true artist and will follow your natural brow bone to give you an amazing result. Don't waste your time or money here. So have to start off by saying deciding to get my eyebrows tattooed was totally a "YOLO" type decision... It went from a thought to being done all in one day. That being said I think that this is one of the best decisions I've ever made! I was nervous about how they would turn out, but Linda is extremely professional, friendly and patient! We consulted for over an hour about exactly what I wanted and Linda never rushed me or made me feel uncomfortable. She's very personable and her and her daughter kept me entertained and comfortable the whole time. I was even nervous about if they were even and she took an incredible amount of time making sure that they were as symmetrical as possible and explaining to me how they would realistically come out with my facial structure.
