I visited in October of 2020 to try a Keratin Lash Lift with Tint. I wanted to try lash extensions for ages and though that this would be a good way to ease myself in. Sadly this service showed absolutely no noticeable difference as far as I could see with my lashes. I'd get more definition with the cheapest mascara on the market. I was disappointed after laying there for an agonizing amount of time with my eyes closed and so still. The four stars are for Hildy's customer service. I felt so welcome and well taken care of the entire time. She was friendly and clearly had expert knowledge. She even gave me a blanket to make sure I was cozy and comfortable on the table. If I ever give extensions a try I will certainly be going back to her. read more

I first tried out lash extensions at Amazing Lash studio and was very underwhelmed, but preferred to try out a cheaper option to see if I'd even like having extensions. After two refills I decided to look into better quality options and came across Hildy through Yelp, and I'm so glad I did. There is a big difference between Hildy's service and my experience at Amazing Lash. First of all, I could tell Hildy really cared about exactly what I wanted in a lash look, and about lash care and health. She's very accommodating, knowledgeable and professional. Her at home lash studio is very comfortable and clean, and her rates are fair - especially for the quality of her work. I also love how easy it is to schedule appointments - just a few quick texts and you're all set (she's very responsive and flexible with scheduling). I always leave loving my lashes and only need a fill about every 4 weeks (I had to go every 2 weeks at Amazing Lash because of the quality - I haven't done anything different care-wise). LLLooooovvve Hildy! She was my first experience with eyelash extensions and I was hooked after that. I first reached out to her before a trip to California and she was very open and honest about the application and the maintenance. We both decided that I should wait until I get back in case I didn't like them or felt uncomfortable with them. (Clue #1 that Hildy is awesome: she didn't rush me to make a buck. She put my best interest at heart.) A lil background on me: Naturally blond with blue eyes so my eyelashes look nonexistent. My first application: HOLY COW!!!... I looked like I had 12 hrs of sleep and an instant eye lift! I absolutely loved my new lashes! Hildy adds a new lash to every single lash on your lid. My lashes looked 4x as full! The best part: I woke up looking FABULOUS every morning. It was unreal. If you take care of these babies, you won't need a fill for at least 4-5 weeks. My first couple of applications, I wasn't that good. Once I learned to maintain them, they lasted a while. Hildy is very professional and takes pride in her work. She made me feel super comfortable and kept in touch with me in case I had any questions. I love that she's a perfectionist! She asks the right questions in order to provide you with the look that you're going for. My 2nd application, we did shorter lashes and more of a cat eye look. I had no idea this was possible! Hildy is the best at what she does. I read a lot about the process before getting it done. This may not be for everyone but if you decide to get them... do it with the best. I did not have any breakage or damage to my natural lashes and that is strictly due to Hildy's technique. I'm taking a month break from them and I'm already going through withdrawals. I have been addicted to lashes since my wedding in 2011. Due to my husband's job we move around often, so finding a new lash studio is always full of anxiety. I moved to Chicago at the beginning of April and came across Beauty2uchicago on yelp and on facebook. I was a little skeptical because there weren't any reviews on yelp but because the prices were SO MUCH less than the other studios & she was willing to come to your house, I thought it was worth a shot. I truly lucked out. Hildy is amazing! She is extremely knowledgeable about everything lashes from maintenance, quality of application, lash growth, and the overall artistry. Hildy helped clean up some of my previous salon's mistakes & I can see such a difference in the true "Individual lashes" vs lashes being applied to multiple & ultimately causing breakage. My lashes are much healthier now & I actually see growth through my extensions.( I didn't even know I was previously having so much breakage!) In short, I have been to 5 different studios, in 4 different cities over the last 2 years and Hildy is by far the best and she is as sweet as can be as well. I will admit it! I want to be a Kardashian! Hildy makes me one step closer! As soon as she finishes, I look in the mirror and I am always stunned with how good I look. I am transformed into a whole different person- a Kardashian! She does such an amazing job! I get compliments all the time! I tried another place and the session took twice as long and I had half of what I was used to. It did not look natural. The eyelash extension were too long, very noticeable, and unevenly spread. Hildy, Hildy, Hildy - what can I say -- she is fantastic!! Not only did she take me on a Sunday morning before my flight on Monday (nothing like waiting til the last minute), but she did it coming back from her vacation! I felt valued as a potential customer which already gave her 100 stars in my book! I have had extensions before, but I took a break because the last time they were done -- they were horrible...they looked like dead spiders were attached to my eyes - this would be great for Halloween, but not so much the everyday professional life. Her home studio is easy enough to find and was very clean and professional than a lot of the other lash places I have been too. Hildy took her time, asked me questions as to what I liked - what I didn't like, and then said "I know exactly what to do." All I kept thinking in my head was "God please make this be true!" And all I can say is that was one prayer that I could have foregone!!! My lashes were EXACTLY what I wanted!!! My eyes popped but not to the point where I looked like a muppet reject! And she managed all this within an hour - my other experiences took 2 hours!!! All during my trip I received unsolicited compliments from women about how "blessed" I was to have such long lashes. The owner is an amazing lady. I am a lash extentionist myself. I called her for a last minute help if she could sell me some glue as I had an appointment and I forgot to order glue ahead of time. I decided to get my first ever eyelash extensions a month before my wedding. I did a bit of research on Yelp, and booked my appt with Hildy based on all the good reviews I read. Hildy answered my call promptly, was also very flexible with my schedule and accommodated my day to get me in within a few days (so I would have them for another wedding I was attending). The studio in her home is very clean, professional and inviting. The room is very comfortable, which I think is important if you have to lay for almost 2 hrs to get them done the first time. Hildy took her time explaining process and gave suggestions on what would work for my face. I really was clueless as to what I wanted and what to expect. I went with a "conservative" look/length since it was my first time. I was surprised at how it looked actually as well as felt. They are weightless. You really cant feel them on, until you look in the mirror. I actually had to remind myself not to constantly rub my eyes, or touch my eyes, which unfortunately I have a habit of. I have them on for about 4 days, and I have lost several lashes, but its due to my lack of experience with them. Its also important to wash face properly, etc, to help with the care. ( I watched my video a few days later) The best part of having them, is that you really dont need mascara, you eyes stand out, and lashes are nice and curled. I'm sure once I get used to taking care of them properly, they will last longer for me. I plan to come back for my fill in few weeks to be ready for my wedding. read more

After getting my lashes done at a well known eyelash studio since 2010, i have been addicted to them. I was getting good service up until they moved to a different location. Once there they started hiring just anyone to fill a seat and work on lashes. The thing is the work they began doing was very sloppy. After several problems with the new girls adding to much glue making me look like i had clumpy mascara and getting flares instead of individual which i paid for individuals, i had to go online and and look for someone else. A late Sunday afternoon and i came across the beauty2uchicago website and though id text her and give her a try. She texted me back quickly and asked to call her! I explained my problems and concerns and told her how horrible my last 2 months of lash extensions experience had been . She was very knowledgeable over the phone and knew the about the issues many clients were having about the studio so I made an appt. I was impressed she did not speak poorly about them and assured me she would do her best to fix what had been done wrong. That was around may 2012 and i have been so happy since! Hildy i have to say is one of the best! She listens to what you want whether you want them longer or shorter curly or straighter or more natural in some months or more dramatic others. While she applies them she explains her process, gives you the dos and dont's and overall the best service. On a few occasions those of you that have had eyelash extensions before know sometimes when our lashes start growing out they twist and turn and annoy but its not that time for a fill yet, she will find a way to fit you in and fix it so you can go on with your day looking amazing, unlike the studio i used to go to that would only give you 3 days if something happen. I have had quite a few eyelash extensions over the past 5 or so years and the "good experiences" now seem like horror stories.
