Everything seems to cost extra, $5 for this, $3 for that, and it quickly adds up. By the end of the service, the total is much higher than what you expected. I always get a no-chip gel manicure, and I was surprised when they did 2 layers of gel base, and THREE layers of gel polish. All places I've been to only does one base coat and 2 (at best) of gel polish. I believe my nail tech was Quynh and she really made sure to evenly coat my nails, and she even coated all of the sides (which is a problem I've had with other places). These prices are in line with what I've experienced. They asked me if I needed my brows done. I said no. They asked me again. Again, no. I am familiar with Dazzle Dry manicures. I also have the products at home. The polish remover was not Dazzle Dry. Neither was coat #1 a branded DD product. I know the polish was DD, because it was on the label. I could see the top coat was DD. The tech rather roughly removed polish with the non-DD remover. Then she left to do a pedicure. Another tech took her place to complete the manicure. She asked me if I wanted my brows done. No. She repeated the question. I started to feel quite self-conscious. Do I have a Frida monobrow? Eugene Levy brows? I ended up going to another nail salon after this and the nail lady told me that my nails were really crooked and not even and it took a really long time for them to fix it so I was very unhappy with the customer service and then with the quality of my nails. She keeps classic colors but also changes her colors with the seasons. And even though I've been getting manicures for decades, she has taught me more about the appropriate colors for my skin than anyone. Often (almost always!) I defer to her color choice and, over all this time, she hasn't been wrong once. She knows what looks great when I need a power color or just something fun. She's professional and lovely. I don't live nearby but travel a distance to see her weekly. Even with my busy schedule, it's well worth my time to get something I'm happy with. I cannot recommend her strongly enough!
