Beck roofing did the repair of our roof when rain water went through our ceiling wall and floors. After the roof repair was done and before the start of our house fumigation (house fumigation crew) found out there's 1 broken tile and 1 missing tile. I immediately notified Brian and complained why our roof is not fully repaired/fixed as agreed upon. No one went up to the roof after the repair and we should haven't found out about the existing problem if not because of the fumigation crew who've discovered it. Beck Roofing just replaced a steep 12:12 pitch roof at my church's 10,000sf sanctuary. After 40 years, the existing 3-tab asphalt comp shingles were starting to fall off during windy weather, so we decided it was time to replace it all. Charlie Beck met with me personally and advised on different things to consider and provided a bid for three types of shingle. We went with a 50 year triple laminate Landmark shingle that complements our exterior building colors very well. They sent 1 guy... 1 guy to install the roof. 4. This 1 guy was disorganized and unmotivated. 5. The job took 3 WEEKS... yes 3 WEEKS to complete 6. Put tar paper over an existing vent hole, with no repair to the wood. Just an open hole with tar paper over it. Had I not alerted Brian to this I firmly believe this unmotivated laborer would have put shingles over this hole. 7. Stucco does not match original. Now I need to finish this and match the color. 8. Brian and his crew were very professional. The two guys that did the work were very nice, and they did a very good job. I liked the way they installed the flashing on our patio roof. They also painted it to match the shingles. They also secured the corner fascia boards really well. After they were done I saw some nails on the fascia that needed to be hammered in, so they went and got their ladder and did the job without even getting upset. We had a persistent leak in our detached garage for over a decade that we paid a handyman and another roofer to "fix" the problem. Each of them made the problem progressively worse. Once I saw the extent of the wood rot damage in the garage my wife took action and called Beck's. Bryan came out and gave us a quote to replace the roof. When it was outside our budget, Bryan happily gave us a quote within our budget to reconstruct the portion of the roof where the roof was leaking. It took sometime for them to schedule the small job, but when the crew came out they were very professional showing me the reason that the roof leaked (due to the drain scupper being constructed incorrectly originally) and cleaned up their mess. The crew happily tested the repaired roof by flooding the roof with water, but we waited with baited breath until we go a good rain storm. Where their used to be a waterfall in our garage during rain is now dry as a bone. After about 2 years, we called around and had 4 different roofing companies come over, inspect the roof, and give us an estimate. After doing a lot of online research, I contacted Beck Roofing for an estimate on 1) repairing an area of our roof that was leaking and (2) estimate to replace the whole roof. After receiving the estimates, I chose to have the entire roof replaced. Brian delivered a story-board that had shingle and gutter samples. We picked what we wanted and placed the order. We had to wait a few weeks for work to start due to rain, but afterwards, when there was a week of sunshine, we agreed to let the work begin. There was a gaggle of men that came out for the 'demolition' of the old roof. It was a sight to see! My spouse and I watched them take off the old roofing material in no time and at the same time, get the new shingles on the rooftop for the next step. A day or two later, one guy come over to begin shingling the roof, but before he started that project, we asked that they replace any rotting, rotten boards, which he did. It cost extra, which I expected; not a problem. I thought there would be at least 2 - 3 persons working on the project and it took a tad longer than I expected. The guy that did the work was very nice and worked all day. He did such a good job, I didn't mind not having extra workers. The only delta I have: I asked Brian for a written schedule of events with proposed timelines. Instead, he would text me with a quick note. I am a linear person and when I ask specifically for something that is what I want. The roof looks good. It has rained several times since the installation and we are satisfied with the work. Beck Roofing is a solid family business. I checked with the BBB and the state for their license; they had no claims or adjustments made against them and to me, that means I got a fair deal. I highly recommend Beck Roofing because they provide actual roof samples and a color pallet for the guttering. After our last rain I found that I had a roof that was leaking. Being that it was over 30 yrs old I felt that I needed to replace it. I have a old house that needed a lot of repairs to the wood framing under the roofing material.Beck removed the old roof and made the repairs at very fair price. Also while putting on the new roof they they took care of other problems I had like birds nesting under eve over hangs ,better flashing,etc .The details that I never thought about they just made wright. When they had finished my new roof looked great and the area around the house was cleaned up. I could have had a roof put on for a little less money by other contractors but the extra money was more then well worth it to get the professional care that I received. I also had Gutters replaced at the same time and Beck subcontracted that out for me.
