This company did my roof in 2019- a complete new roof. In 2020 the roof shingles began to lift. I had a different company come and share that the job was poorly done along the ridge and I should contact the company. I did and the company told me I had to contact Lowe's because they were subcontractors. I contacted Lowe's and they said I had to contact the company that actually did the work. I contacted Manada again and I was told to pay $500 for them to come out and see THEIR own work and that fee would be applied to any work they do! Unbelievable, my father became ill and couldn't deal with this and I did contact the Better Business Bureau and they stated that too many years had passed- it was 3 years. How long is a roof supposed to last?? Regardless, poor craftsmanship and material reflects the job quality of Manada Roofing. I just today, completed the repairs for this winter. I'll give them a five because the work was good. Communication could have been a little better, but experience tells me that's just par for the course. We had a garage re-roofed and went for the top of the line with all the bells and whistles. The result leaves me happy and their price was right. Appointment was a breeze to make over the phone for repairing my roof leaking issue. Jesus Mendez showed up on time. Jesus assessed the damages of the roof for repair in half an hour and gave me the reasonable price quote. Appointment for repair was set for 4 weeks out due to holidays season. But, Jesus covered the leakage area of the roof. He also promised me that he will replaced all defective 7 or 8 O-Rings for roof ventilation ports. He did came back after a couple of days later with brand-new O-Rings and replace all the defective ones for me before the heavy rain hit in our area. Jesus came back after New Year and fixed all my roof leakage issues with a professional manners in 2 days. Cleaned up debris from all my gutters, valley areas of the roof along with constant update on the progress. Heavy rain hit in between the repair days and leakage seemed to be completely fixed now. I would like to commend Jesus Mendez for doing the excellent job, the honesty and his professionalism. I had a doubt in the beginning about Manada Roofing Company since I was not able to see recent positive reviews from Yelp or Google. I called to make an appointment for a quote and within a couple days Ray came by the house to check everything out and show us our options and I had a quote that week. Upon pulling the trigger on the new roof I made the deposit payment over the phone and material orders were placed. Enedina was my main point of contact in the office and she was always extremely helpful with updates, scheduling and payments. The field was just as great. Pascual was very friendly, helpful and informative. I loved that his main priority was always that we were satisfied with the work and that any and all questions were answered. There was one minor bit of trade damage during the demolition of the existing tile roof where it appeared someone had accidentally stepped through ceiling drywall and the very same day it was patched, taped and textured then painted the following day. This small incident showed that Manda Roofing is a company that stands behind their work, owns up to any mistakes or issues and addresses them promptly which I respect very much. THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT THE LITTLE PEOPLE. I needed my skylight replaced, so I called Manada roofing. Poor customer service. Showed up for appointment and never got back to me on service. I found Manada roofing on BBB.org I needed a skylight replaced. I made contact via their website. They were fast in responding to my message. They said they could come out on Friday September 20th. They changed the scheduling to Monday September 23rd. The rep came into my house and looked at the skylight without taking any measurements. He said he would contact me via email with a quote. I waited until Wednesday September 25th and made contact via email. I have not receive a response with a quote for my skylight. I feel that they looked at my house and assessed that they were not going to make a lot of money with the skylight repair and decided to not do the work. If this was the case then they should have let me know. Up to this point and have not received any kind of communication from them I WOULD GIVE 0 STARS, BUT THEY WON'T LET ME. Review Update: I want to reiterate that in no way was I satisfied with the work or the customer service. If you look at the final repairs you can clearly see the replaced tiles are NOT a color match. While I did appreciate the fact that a representative came out later in the day to try to alleviate the issue, the conversation ended with the rep promising that she would be speaking to the owner about being overcharged and the lies told by the workers. I used them to install my roof, and some years later when I started to have leaks, they overcharged me and actually didn't fix problem! I had an appointment to get a estimate for new gutters and dry rot repair. The rep I believe his name was Jesus came out, was very prompt and courteous and said he would email me an estimate either later that day or the next day. When no estimate arrived I called him, he apologized and said he would get it to me later that day. Again, no estimate ever arrived. Called again, now he is not picking up or returning my calls. This has been going on for three days and I explained the work is time sensitive as we are painting exterior our home end of the month. Called the office today, not his cell and left a message that if the company doesn't want the work just let me know so I can look elsewhere. If I have to call this many times, never get a response, maybe that is a sign I need to look elsewhere for a more reliable company that returns calls. Hate leaving a one star review, but this company obviously does not pride themselves on communicating with their customer. read more

I contacted Manada Roofing to install a gutter and downspout on the front of my home (2nd floor). Ricardo came out and evaluated and said he could do it and match the exisiting gutter style. He also noticed that there were a few broken tiles which he said his team could replace. The surprise was that in order to ensure a good install, a few rows of roof tiles needed to be removed from the front. Despite this, the estimate was reasonable in terms of cost, so I hired them. The team came out and performed the work in a day as scheduled. There were a few things I noticed afterwards that I pointed out and Ricardo quickly responded and fixed them up (they were minor things). The install looks great and the rain is moving throught the gutter and away from the house as it should be! I'm glad Ricardo's team replaced the broken tiles and I worry much less about my roof now. I highly recommend Manada Roofing as they do quality work, care about the customer and in the end I got exactly what I wanted for a reasonable price with great service. I received several bids regarding replacing our composite garage roof, but either wasn't happy with the price or the brush off I received, I don't know if that was due to the job being on the small side or possibly because I'm a female and they seemed to always as to speak with my husband. I saw Manada Roofing on the BBB website and after looking over their website, decided to call them to come out to give me an estimate. I called the office and was able to get an appointment quickly set up with Edmund. He came out and looked over the job and we talked about what I was looking for to have done. I also expressed my concerns regarding the age and narrowness of our driveway and how they were going to remove the old material without possibly damaging our property. Within a couple of days I received a call from him asking to come back over so that we could sit down and go over the work and estimate. He came well prepared with a binder of information that included their insurance, bonds, BBB rating, certifications, etc. I was pleasantly surprised with the detailed information given as well as the price of the bid. Within a week we decided to go ahead with Manada Roofing. They called to schedule the date of tear off and installation, the job was done in less than two full days! The men working were very polite and were aware that I have to small children so tried to keep noise to a minimum (which I knew would be hard regardless because replacing a roof is not a quiet job). And my concern regarding the driveway? They actually took the time to haul the material by hand down the driveway to their truck! They came by and gave us an estimate and we thought it was reasonable but the worker was impatient after asking several questions. We didn't felt like his customer service was up to par. Then decide to go with another company. Learn your customer service before doing business. Because he wasn't professional they lost a customer. Summary: Low bids, you get what you pay for. Our roof leaks. Their warranty isn't worth much, neither is their word. 2 years into a 5 year warranty, When we got the quote, due to drainage issues on our property, we asked them to angle our downspouts towards the street. We asked the guy cutting the gutters to do the same, as well as the young man who installed them. None of this was done. They left all the gutters going the exact same way they were originally, with the downspouts in the same exact location. We asked them to fix it when they finished the job. We asked them to fix it again and again and again, emails, phone, etc. Jesus even came to our house, told us that it couldn't be done (but then he changed his mind before he left and said that it could be done and described how, even sending us a quote for the work later). He said he would fix it for free since we were dissatisfied and since they messed up relaying messages. 2 months later, he sent us an $1,100 quote. He told us that they didn't write it into the contract so therefore they wouldn't honor their word. I'm guessing this is how they achieve the low bid. . They left roofing nails all over our property, including our driveway. (They came back later and cleaned up most of it) . They left our property a mess, with shingles everywhere, debris all over the garden. (They came back a few weeks later and cleaned up most of it) . They didn't do the work that we asked in terms of gutters/downspouts (2 years later and they have yet to fix anything) . They left one of the downspouts disconnected at the roof, so we had a waterfall next to our front porch (They fixed this several weeks later) . They didn't connect one of the suntunnels - it is loose in the attic - They removed insulation around the suntunnels (which is understandable because they are going to cut a hole), but never put the insulation back afterwards (meaning they left huge sections of joists without insulation). - they broke a lot of wood on our roof, their repairman said we should bring it up with "the jefe" - 2 years later, our roof is leaking, there is water in our attic and our ceiling drywall is getting discolored - they say they won't fix it. read more

The gutters were not install correctly -- in the rainy season, a light rain would caused overflow in the gutter in several areas. I suspected that it was because not enough downspouts were installed, or the gutters were not installed correctly to allow water to drain to the downspout (as a matter of fact, the contract stated that they only install the gutters but will not adjust the position or slope. Be aware!). So I spent additional $ to have several additional downspouts installed. I selected this company based on the yelp ratings. I wanted to replace tar and gravel flat roof with IB and needed a trusted installer, so I contacted IB area Manager, he sent me reference of 2 installer in east bay, I contacted both of them and only Manada Roofing returned my call. They set up appointment for 9 am next day. Jose Parez from Manada showed up on time and in a very professional attire, he checked out the roof and suggested chipping away 6 inch of the roof edge and install a rain gutter with the down sprout. He sent me the quote next day. I was impressed with their professional approach and reasonable price and asked them to stat the job. After I told Manada Roofing Inc sales representative that I did not want Manada Roofing Inc to install the gutters because of the unsatisfactory warranty terms and conditions, the sales representative tried to blackmail me by asking me if I have applied for city permit to get a new roof. Manada Roofing Inc also have the collection agency, Transworld Systems Inc, to try to collect money on work that the company did not do and materials that it did not deliver.
