My usual is a toasted wheat bagel with veggie cream cheese, and it's always made perfectly - lightly browned and the perfect amount of the cream cheese. If runs about $2.50. Bagels are really fresh. Only other kind I tried was the French toast...what a mistake. It was a flavorless egg bagel with a very slight dusting of cinnamon on top. As a French toast fanatic, I must say this is unacceptable and disappointing. Hours are very limited - early in the day to before dinner time. After frequenting the Bensalem location multiple times living in Philly, finding out there was one in my neighborhood was exciting. But from the kid who took my order, to the girl who "double checked" it with me when I picked it up, the whole experience was a mess. Unorganized and very amateur. My home fries were all onions with some mushy potatoes, my plain, untoasted chocolate chip bagel was cut and toasted til almost burnt. Bacon egg and cheese croissant on the bottom of the bag so it was flattened like a pancake, and pork roll egg on cheese on a "kaiser roll" (focaccia roll of some kind) that had the strangest aftertaste. It was all luke warm and I'll stick to everywhere but here for breakfast from now. I've made better at home. read more

While we love the bagels, we won't be back. They REPEATEDLY short us when we buy a dozen. I bought 2 dozen and they shorted me 6 bagels. I discovered when I got home. I bought a dozen to send to a friend's house so I took them all out of the bag to re-bag into 2. I guess they figured by the time I got home I would feel like going back. I did go back though. I just brought home a 'dozen' and it was short 2 bagels. Why boast giving a baker's dozen (nobody does that anymore) when you can't even count to 12? What a shame. It's been a long time since I lived in NYC so I may have forgotten what a bagel is supposed to taste like at this point. Those of you familiar with most South Jersey "behggles" have probably given up. Well, this place gets it right. You can see them cooking the bagels fresh behind the counter. The mouth feel is perfect: dense and chewy yet easily digestible. Menu is fairly small but they do everything spot on. For a lunch treat, try pb&j on a French Toast bagel... I liked it...past tense. The service was always pleasant and fast, and I have never had an issue with my orders. However, I stopped here on the morning of Sunday, June 5th at around 11 am. I placed my order, and while I waited, I listened to the staff discuss a particularly demanding customer. One staff member said, "Oh, is that the old Jew lady?" The conversation continued, and although there were no further remarks about the customer's ethnic or religious background, I felt uncomfortable knowing that such a description of a customer was acceptable among the staff and not challenged by any other employee. I will not be patronizing the shop anymore, because I'm simply not interested in spending my money where a customer's ethnic background, age, and gender are disparaged in such a way. read more

They have great bagels here, however their specialty cream cheeses are just ok. I would recommend trying all the bagels, I have personally tried over half of them and have not had a bad one. But my favorite cream cheese of theirs is just plain! If you get the chance to have bagels fresh out of the oven you are in for a treat. So much so that I look forward to hearing that I'll have to wait 5 minutes for the bagels. Other places I would just pick a different kind but these are tasty right out of the oven read more

decent bagel breakfast sammy. the bagel itself was pretty good, sometimes places tend to throw too many poppy seeds on their everything bagels, and ugh i hate it when they throw sunflower seeds on them, but this place had a nice balance of flavors (no sunflower seeds, phew.) a lot of young girls working there, all really friendly. sammy was out in a flash. the coffee was DELISH so i was pretty bummed when i looked down and realized i had placed it incorrectly in my cup holder and it had spilled everywhere. thank gawd the kia cube car was a rental! read more

This place is the best for bagels, there's nothing better anywhere around. Best bagels, delicious. Fresh ingredients always on all sandwiches. Love going here on a weekend for a scrumptious everything bagel with nova lox, cheddar horseradish cream cheese, tomato and onion. If I don't make it before they close on the weekend, I don't go elsewhere for bagels, I just do something else entirely. My one and only criticism would be: about half the staff I've dealt with since I moved here about a year ago is really nice and about half really isn't. I will continue to patronize them because no other area bagels compare. read more

Had another good bagel today the only down side of coming here is dealing with your neighbors audubon used appliances. I Finally got the stove delivered but it turned out the left rear burner was not igniting a flame when you turn it on. Don't get me wrong, the bagels are very good. My problem is that the entire staff has absolutely NO concern about hygiene. I've tried several times, but the same thing happens every visit. They wear plastic gloves, but they are for show. They all handle the money with gloves on and then the bagels. I'm not all THAT much of a germ nut, but c'mon. Even if they don't care about hygiene, why can't they be considerate of those of us who do care? There's a reason why Einstein, Panera, and other bakeries pay attention to this. Why chase away customers to save the cost of a piece of tissue paper??? read more

My husband has been in the mood for a really good local bagel and lox sandwich for months now. Did some research and decided to try this place because of so many positive reviews. Well they did not dissappoint!! Great selection of bagels to choose from with a generous portion of lox and cream cheese. A little pricey but worth the craving. They also have daily specials which sound delicious too. Like, their pork roll, egg and cheese. Our only complaint is that they don't offer a slice of tomato, onion and cheese to put on your sandwich :(. Another let down today were the two individually wrapped slices of special Stokes pound cake. When we opened them up to enjoy they tasted like an everything or onion bagel..yuk. They were 1.75 each and were thrown in the trash. Owner should buy a vacuum sealed display case for them or leave them in refrigerator so they don't absorb the bagel spices and odors. That aside we enjoyed our bagel and lox lunch and will definitely return to try something else on the menu. The staff is very friendly and customer service oriented. read more
