Burgers are good but nothing spectacular. You have to ask for lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and onions as all they come with is sauce and the burger, and cheese if you have it on yours. Make sure to request it medium well, because their medium is medium rare in most places. Prices are insane though. And yes, I've read the owner's response about using only the finest ingredients, but it's just too expensive for what it is- there are other places using high end ingredients like pappas burger and even bludorn, which at least include fries with the burger. Over $20 for burger, fries and a Diet Coke is just crazy. Too many other great burger places in town to keep me coming back to this place or to recommend it. read more

Best hamburger ever. Meat tender and tasty. Coupled with Parmesan truffle fries, and you ate in heaven. Loved the chocolate malt.

Another one seems to be biting the dust, I went through the drive-through tonight to get an açai tuna sandwich, which has been a favorite for many years, especially at this location and what I got served was a seared ice cold tuna that had so many tendons running through it I ended up eating the sandwich mostly without the tuna, the person that took my order seemed like he would rather do anything else, which is definitely not the norm over the past 25+ years that I've been eating there, I would not have written this review, except that this is the third time this has happened since the relaunch of this location, when their food is on, it is some of the best that I've had but I can't pay these prices for food that I don't even want to eat, Becks prime, you need to do better, I guess I will have to drive the extra distance to go to one of their other locations because this is the only location I've had problems with, nobody will ever know how bad it hurts me to write this review, I look forward to following up this review with a good one, I hope it happens read more

Whenever I travel to Houston, I've made it my goal to stop at BP for my first meal. The burgers are cooked over a grill flame which gives them a unique taste that cannot be beat. Hubby and I have been picking up Uber Eats from Becks Prime and let me tell you the smell will make you hungry even if you just ate. So we decided to see what it was about. There's a few Becks Prime around Houston and this was the closest. Not impressed with the parking nor the inside of the restaurant but that being said that's not what I'm here for. You order at a counter and the young lady knew her menu but lacked personality. I had the "shroom" burger and hubby had the regular burger we shared an order of Parmesan fries. When we sat at the table with the booth going around, I was about six inches higher than my hubby who sat in the chair. My feet were dangling. Lol. Food was ready to be picked up! It was big!! You have to flatten it some to get it into your mouth. First bite was magnificent, second bite yum, third bite just as good. A bit greasy, and some of the onions were from the outer part of the onion so they were over cooked and paper tasting. But all in all it's a burger that you can enjoy and feel like you got the burger you wanted. Parmesan fries disappointing. I would have loved fresh grated cheese on them. read more

(I think steak cut fries would be a better treat.) Regardless, I don't mind the $10+ price tag for a hearty burger and a Diet Coke. Beck's is one of my favorite spots for takeout. I'm not crazy about the diner-style interior or trying to eat outside in this weather, but I love the food and find the drive through and to go service to be efficient and solid. I usually don't even check my to go orders at this location because they are so good about remembering the dressing, condiments, etc. Not sure if it's this location only for now, but there are two new salads on the menu :) a cobb and an Asian spicy wonton salad. I tried the wonton and found it to be tasty with cucumbers, carrots, cilantro, almonds, orange segments and a sweet sesame vinaigrette. The wontons are really spicy! Thankfully, they were served on the side with my takeout order because they had quite a bite. This salad (at $9.75) was pretty substantial, but I think this one would be a better meal with the ahi tuna or chicken added. I'm looking forward to trying the cobb next time. I'm also a big fan of the Mediterranean and queen of hearts salads; they are both generous portions and a bit more filling without having to add something for $5+. They always seem fresh and have generous amounts of toppings and I love that they have a variety of vegetarian options beyond a Caesar and garden salad. The veggie burger is really tasty as well (with the fries ... yum). Also a very pleasant surprise was getting a nice, big recyclable shopping bag with my to go order! I ate frequently at the Kirby location. Then it was closed for ... 9-ish months. Now it is open again, and I just drove through and got the Ribeye Steak sandwich. I haven't gone to other Beck's Primes in the meantime, and I can tell you that the steak part of the sandwich is about 40%-50% of the thickness it used to be. No chew factor. The bun is the same, but now the proportion of bread to steak is too much. Disappointing. It feels like companies are taking advantage of inflation. I need to check, but are the ounces listed for the steak sandwich. It is significantly less steak now. read more

Came here once again to give it a second chance after the owner was gracious enough to try to mitigate the issues I had with my first visit, and I have to say my experience was night and day when comparing my initial experience to the repeat experience I had. I tried the bill's burger this time around and I enjoyed it much more- flavorful, juicy, and just all around a good burger. A horrible experience. Let alone the fact I paid $25 for a full burger, a side of fries, and a kids meal, I received no fries or drink with the kids meal; something that is supposed to be included. Guess no one there had a decent childhood. The staffer hysterically laughed as he opened the window to hand me my order for whatever reason. Regardless of whatever joke him and his buddies thought was hilarious, that is NOT something desirable as a customer and you might as well give me my actual order if you're going to laugh as you hand it to me. Instead of heading to any of the typical fast food places when you have a hankering for a burger, I say divert yourself to Beck's Prime, if you're lucky enough to have one close by. Before you protest the expense of going to Beck's Prime over the usual, cheaper suspects, I say in this situation you get what you pay for, particularly in today's realm of processed, fast food. So, if you still want a burger and fries, but perhaps wished they were made with better quality ingredients, then Beck's may be the place for you. Beck's uses fresh, quality ingredients. The food is cooked to order over mesquite coals. They offer practically everything the fast food joints do, but better. I don't eat meat or chicken anymore, but those menu items look well-made--once again, fresh, not frozen or pre-packaged. The fries--these are more like steak frites!--are hand cut with the skin on. The veggie burger is pretty good, and obviously not a reconstituted, frozen veggie "puck." The inspiration for this review is the ahi-tuna sandwich--my new favorite. We ordered it last night and it reminded me of a chopped bbq sandwich, just without the barbequed beef and sauce. The sandwich consisted of a soft, yellow sesame seed bun, ginger wasabi mayo, huge slices of red onion, slices of cucumber, feta cheese, and chopped up seared, smoky hunks of ahi tuna. Being cooked over mesquite coals gave it that awesome Texas bbq scent and really enhanced its flavor and texture. That sandwich was savor-licious! Because of the quality and freshness of the food, yes, it may seem more expensive, but in the end the value reveals itself. I didn't feel weighted down or experience any strange greasy after-tastes or get indigestion. I've eaten at two of the locations and I've had the mushroom Swiss burger and the bacon cheddar burger. So delicious they're actually frightening!!! Everything is spotless in the place. Service is pretty fast, though around lunchtime, be prepared for a line. Some locations are bigger than others, so amount of available seating varies. They have more than just burgers. Great burger. Smokey flavor. Grilled onions. Real cheese. Crispy bacon. What's not to love. The hand cut fries were fantastic. The queso was very good. Salsa was a little on the hot side. I loved it, but others at the table thought it was too hot. One person at our table got the grilled chicken salad, loaded with pecans and cranberries. They said it was delicious. I tried a bite of the chicken and it had a nice smokey flavor. Based on the amount of juice running out of my burger, this might not be a good "to go" meal. I dined in with a friend but would probably just get this to go if I wanted something nicer than Whataburger.
