Finally got to try Boo's burgers and glad I came on a Friday for their special. It's a casual, food stand really that has al fresco seating and is in the middle part of Navigation. The staff was super friendly, making conversation with everyone who came to order and being patient. I went with the OG boo's burger and the friday special, which was a shrimp poboy (some sort of fish/seafood for Fridays). I also got a basket of fries. I didn't end up eating there but brought it home and the ~15 min drive didn't change the quality of the food for me. The burger was a very good classic smash burger, crispy edges on the burger, nice ratio of innards to bread and wasn't a huge mess to eat (which I really appreciate). The shrimp poboy was also delicious, perfectly fried shrimp (and looots of it), crispy bread, and it just tasted nice and fresh. The fries were alright, nothing stand out on their own, lightly battered and held their crisp on my drive so that says something. I think the quality is definitely there at Boo's and I need to go back form the shroom and chicken burgers so those'll be on my list next visit! read more

We ordered lunch through door dash pickup. The og burger didn't show up in the door dash choices until 11:18am. Which was really odd but it was fine. There wasn't a wait when I arrived. The 4 meal combos were bagged individually and labeled so I greatly appreciated that. Parking is weird. I parked in another restaurant's lot and hopped across the street to get the food. It's like a small shop in the middle of the median. I've heard people wait in long longs for this burger. The burger was pretty good with all the extra stuff to dress up the meat. The fries were crispy, the garlic aioli sauce was solid. My garlic and onion breath was so strong afterwards. I was so full after all was said and done. I think people should try it out. read more

Because the burger was a nice way to finish off the day. --- --- --- After leaving an Astros game, I wasn't really hungry, but I checked my bookmarks to see if there was anything else I *needed* to hit up before making my long journey back to the deep burbs. I saw that Boo's Burgers was only a few minutes away and I'd wanted to try it out for a bit, so we made our way over. I ordered an OG burger with fries and found it to be probably right in between 3 and 4 stars. I wouldn't need to rush back to have it again, but it was a pretty enjoyable experience overall. The sauce reminded me of McDonalds, but my wife said it reminded her of Whataburger. Fast food comparison aside, it didn't seem like a traditional smash burger because it came with some other fixins, which always throws me off. Came here tonight and got two OG combos. One was a double and one original. Food came out quick and hot. The server at the counter was friendly. The double was better because it was a better ratio because the bun is pretty thick and honestly kinda was too much bread for just one patty. Absolutely delicious. The bun is perfectly buttery and slightly crisp and sooooo soft inside. The flavors of the burger are a delight. It's like the veggies were cut perfectly catered to this burger. Boo's Burger is located on the median of Navigation Blvd. It's directly across the street from La Merida restaurant but don't use their parking lot. Instead park on the cross street St Charles next to Boo's. Boo's is a to go or dine outside type of eatery. The building is like a metal storage container type design with a covered ordering and pick up window and then outside tables (some with umbrellas) to dine on location. The menu here is very short and simple. 1 burger, 1 chicken sandwich, 1 vegetarian sandwich, 1 grilled cheese sandwich and a fish fillet sandwich only on Fridays. The only sides are fries and chips and soft drinks are canned and bottled. I ordered the Boo's OG burger for $12 and added the combo for $6 more that gave me fries and a canned coke. With tax it was $19.48. The food is made after the order and was ready about 10 minutes later. The burger comes with cheese, lettuce, tomato, shaved onions, their OG sauce and homemade pickles. Homemade pickles are always a good sign of a very good hamburger. This was a really good tasting burger. It's not quite what I call a Smashburger type but it was cheesy and their OG sauce really adds to the flavor. The ingredients including their house in ground beef are very good but I thought the buttered challah bun stood out. The fries were not a let down like many burger places. These fries were really good tasting too. I enjoyed this meal. Quality food prepared and not mass produced. Come here and you will enjoy it. Keep in mind it's outside so factor in the weather. No drive thru so you will have to street park (free) to order and get it. This place has been on my "Hit List" for a year now. Which is hard to believe it took me this long to stop by as this spot is walking distance from my house. Anyways, this was one of the best smash burgers I've ever had! the meat was juicy and tender to the point you didn't really have to chew it. Well seasoned and very fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I did decide to have my onions grilled. My only complaint was the house sauce they put in was good but a little to much of it. The fries were also perfect. Solid chicken sandwich, and while I'm not a fan of their mushroom burger, I can respect it. This is a good stall / stand located on Navigation with outside seating. The food took a while to cook up but it looked like a lean operation. The chicken sandwich was juicy and solid. I was not a fan of the sauce on the mushroom burger but the mushroom itself was crispy and fried well. They both looked very nice. Went back for their fish fry Friday's and was disappointed... which sucks cause I was excited. I presumed I'd get a catfish sandwich but it was only shrimp po boys. I like those too so I didn't mind getting that instead. One pro is they are generous with the shrimp and the shrimps aren't little so you get what you pay for. The overall po boy wasn't that great. The shrimp had a funny subtle taste to it that I didn't like. I asked for no pickles & got pickles anyway. The bread didn't carry well - I only traveled 12 mins to my destination from the restaurant and it was already soggy. I wouldn't get this again I'm going to stick to the chicken sandwich. Came here after watching Chris Shepherd feature them on the latest episode of Eat Like A Local. I have to say I agree with Chris... they are worth the drive. Situated in a walk up neighborhood spot, we ordered the entire menu. The OG burger - a delicious single patty smash style burger but with all the fixins (not just cheese and a bun) just the way I like it. The Chicken Sandwich - seasoned to perfection with a delicious juiciness. The Oyster Mushroom Vegan Burger - surprisingly full of flavor and texture with just the right accents of pickles The Friday Fish Sandwich - fried cod served with house made herbal tartar sauce The Grilled Cheese - served on Japanese milk bread, I would say this was the weakest of the items... I was so excited to finally get to try Boo's Burgers! I was a bit worried that it would not live up to the hype. But I felt that it really did. We experienced no lines at 2 PM on a Saturday and it was ready within six minutes. I loved my single patty burger. It was hot and cooked to perfection. I ordered extra sauce, but didn't really need it. I didn't want to order the fries because of the negative reviews, but my husband did anyway. I'm really glad he did. I ended up eating half of them because they were delicious. I'm not sure why some people did not like them. My order was very crispy and flavorful. It was a gorgeous day so we enjoyed eating at one of their tables outside. Parking was pretty easy with an adjacent lot about a 2 minute walk away. I will definitely be coming back soon. read more

Cute little take-out burger stand. Boo Burgers is set up as a walk-up window with a few outdoor seats, but it's mostly a grab-and-go spot. I ordered the Boo's OG, and the burger was actually pretty tasty juicy and satisfying. It costed about $12z Service was pretty standard at a pick up window. They have tables outside. They have a few different sauces, and I tried the spicy mayo. It reminded me of a spicy queso-mayo mix or even a pimento cheese vibe definitely different, but worth trying. Boo's Burgers is officially my favorite burger spot in Houston! Even though it seems like a simple burger stand in ambiance, they are making QUALITY burgers, while supporting the community at the same time. Located in the East End on Navigation, this is an area of Houston that is definitely on the come up. What started out as pop ups around Houston, now has their own brick n mortar. What I love the most though is how they are now giving back to other pop ups like Aleng Ninas. Giving back to the community and 10/10 service will always win in my book. I first came here for the AlengNinas pop up, and that Filipino inspired bistek burger was the BEST burger I've had in a really long time. They also did a really cool Filipino fusion tocino fries with a fried egg on top. You taste the quality of Boo's Burgers, but adding that Filipino twist of flavor was a game changer. I had been seeing all of Chef Joseph Boudreaux's press all over social media and Culture Map etc. I loved his message of trying to make affordable items for people that look like him, in his community. I plan to try the shroom burger next, the reviews say it's good! I didn't try the fries, was trying to be good girl, but likely will next time. I had only planned to eat half the burger at my visit and save it for later, but it was too juicy I couldn't resist and ate the whole thing in one sitting. It's a great burger ratio of toppings, sauce, patty, and bun. Ingredients tasted fresh. The website also has a grilled cheese listed but I didn't see it on the menu, looking forward to that if it comes! I waited in line maybe 15 mins and another 15 mins for the food. I was able to sit in covered area while waiting to order and there is also uncovered seating to enjoy your food once you get it. Cute little place. Outdoor seating is limited. I thought it was called Boo's burger bc it's adjacent to a cemetery. But it's the founders Joseph Boudreaux's nick name. We ordered one of everything. My favorite was the mushroom burger! And the fish sando! So crispy and flavorful. The chicken was crispy and you can taste the seasoning. Finally tried Boo's Burgers with my friend and we decided to go on a Friday night. They have no dedicated parking lot so you're gonna have to find street parking somewhere. They also only have outdoor seating here. I was very intrigued by their shroom Sammie so I ordered that as a combo with their fries and a bottle of coke. The shroom Sammie includes marinated oyster mushroom clusters that are fried and stuffed in a challah bun. It's dressed with lemon pepper wet sauce, garlic aioli, pickled and cabbage, and mustard green slaw. My friend couldn't eat meat due to lent so they got the Friday special shrimp po'boy. They stuff so many fried mushroom clusters in the shroom Sammie it kinda felt like I was getting more than a normal burger. These mushrooms were also so amazing!! Fried to perfection with a crisp coating and good seasoning, and the mushrooms inside are so soft and juicy. It was bigger than I thought it was going to be. Their sauce is pretty banging as well. My only critique is that I would've preferred more slaw but I still over my sandwich just the way it was. The fries had a nice crisp as well and the inside was very fluffy. The shrimp po'boy included shrettuce, tomatoes, and pickles on a roll. The shrimp they use here were big and that seasoning on it is soo good. They give you a ton of shrimp too. These were also nicely fried. We loved everything we had here and would definitely come back. I would definitely crave that burger again. We had been waiting for the weather to cool down to get out here and enjoy. Simple walk up counter with really just 2 options unless it's a special day. Honestly- solid juicy burger. Loved the chopped lettuce soaking in the sauce. I'd be back for this. The queso fries- not in love with the queso. The fries alone were great. The shroom burger is what makes this place really stand out. It was phenomenal. We also got the cheese fries to share, but the he toppings that were mentioned, so I went back up to the window to ask. A few minutes later, the owner came out with a cup of the spice that had been mentioned, he said he had gotten some complaints about the spice level, so had made the decision to leave it off and apologized. The burger was great, BUT - - the staff needs some training on how to give the customer what they want. I had an OG burger, and my husband ordered a grilled cheese. He asked for a slice of tomato on the sandwich and she replied, "I'm sorry, we can't do that." WHY??? You have tomatoes. Perhaps a more appropriate reply would have been "We will be happy to add tomato for an extra $1." We would have happily paid an upcharge to get exactly what he wanted. THEN - after the tomato-less grilled cheese and fries were ready, as we picked up our order at the window, I asked for some Mayonaise for my fries. The answer was "I'm sorry, we only provide Ketchup. FOR GOD'S SAKE, you have mayonnaise! GIVE THE CUSTOMER WHAT THEY WANT, even if it requires a charging extra. The girl at the counter had a great smile, but she seemed to take joy in saying "NO!"
